The constant, gentle windiness in the game is so fucking aesthetic. 😍
The amount of Lewis rage and salt is genuinely impressive
And like usual it's mostly ignorant rage. XD
I love how he kinda low key tried to end the video early halfway through by starting in on his ‘well that’s Aloft, weve been playing the demo’
I love the looks of this game, I can see it having a similar base-building, crafting and progression system as subnautica and the like, but with more movement and combat features and less survival. If done right, could be really good! Definitely needs a bit more of a tutorial and a more intuitive inventory system though... 😆
This makes me miss Worlds Adrift. That game was beautiful

Worlds Adrift is currently getting remade by Bossa Studios (they're very insistent it's a fundamentally different game but I mean come on) called Lost Skies.
Seriously it's the same game just more linear and co-op instead of an MMO
I hope they do more and show off the moving islands thing, that sounds interesting!
In the steam page for this game, literally 90% of the pictures and videos show that you can move the islands with sails. How the hell did they miss that? Aren't they playing it on steam?

In game "tutorial" was quick too
the islands are the air ship. you find the knowledge stones on islands around you and the tech is unlocked then you can build sails, and balloons, steering wheel. then you fly the islands to other islands
Weird thing about this demo is it has less in it than the old demo that was available before next fest. The devs changed some of the item learning mechanics.
The result of that is you need to explore every inch of every island. You need to try all combinations of materials for item crafting.
And you need to read and comprehend the user interface to understand the game mechanics.
Can't see the Yogs doing that, except maybe Osie, they seem to want to speedrun everything and this isn't that sort of game. And it is only a demo.

On screen below meter: “Craft and consult the field guide to learn more”

Reminds me of an old game that never got past alpha called worlds adrift

Also good to see they're all still pretty bad at games. Bar Duncan I suppose who is just okay haha
