God it's amazing between Arin of gamegrumps and Lewis of the yogscast I truly don't know which is worse at basic reading, critical thinking and willingness to consult the button config.
Lewis: "I've played these games for 15 years, how am I not able to..." That's the question we ask ourselves every video... It's a surprise when a yogs member shows competence. To be honest, if you just took 5 seconds to read what the game tells you it would be obvious: Hit it with a hammer to complete the build, choose a foundation that has the floor included and not just a scaffold frame, use floors for overhangs where there aren't foundations underneath because they occupy the same space so that your floors are level with each other.
you know, i didn't try the building system in this. the game was ok but lacked direction and explanation. i think it must be fair early in development.
Yeah as far as nights do this games was very mild. The worst are the games that dawn and dusk are just pitch black do to them lowering the general light on top of the shadow cast by the terrain as the as the directional light lowers and casts sideways.
Generally what seems to happen is they don't have properly calibrated monitors. So what ends up happening is they increase the gamma which makes the game look washed out but brighter.. and then they get used to that and now that's their "default". Duncan just always gets mad at night on games because he can't see.. it's *night* Duncan.. that's the point..
I love that everyone goes northen when Osie and gang are in. It's not that it's a daft sounding dialect, it's just really funny having everyone 'pretending' to be dumb :P
Well this is a pleasant surprise - Tried this out a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with it. Needs some work still but got a lot of potential. Really hoping this one gets finished, and fully fleshed out.
Funny enough the night wasn't even that dark in this one, at least compared to a lot of the stuff they've played recently. They must've brightened in post 'cause I can actually see what's going on
Seriously, when can we also sexualize men finally? Why is that never a thing? I play a male on games and I'm always complaining there's not enough fashion and such for men.. can we normalize male sexualization? lol
if they fix the "too dark" night cycle I think this game has promise. lighting in Enshrouded killed the game for me, the too dark nights the excessive fog and bloom, eventually just made it unplayable.
i assume you finished with enshrouded? I'd again like to suggest soulmask. exceptional game, despite being in early access. I'm not really sure what else they have left to add. Atm they seem to be mostly balancing things and adjusting things that the players are giving feedback on. a lot of content there. Although it does have a day/night cycle which you appear to hate. worth noting, in custom settings i believe you can disable night time entirely though.
Soulmask is great but even it says to not play multiplayer currently. There's a lot of balancing and such that needs to be done. Like the insanely long stun times when you get parried vs how easy it is to parry.. The game itself even says to play solo and adjust a lot of settings.
From what Lewis was saying in the last game, he misses when he and Ravs/Duncan used to try out early access or broken Survival games. And because of that, it sounds like his plan is to do the all multiplayer survival games from the Steam Next Fest.
@@Zamandu This doesn't really apply here, as it was mentioned the behavior in the video is what turned them off of it. Feels a bit weird you're making a personal attack because some rando didn't like this one. *I'm not coming back to this, so you do you.
Yeah if you know you don't want to play the game then just skip it.. don't end up getting it bad publicity just "for the content" plus it makes the content unenjoyable and stale. The game actually looks like it can be really good and has some promise. This being just a demo, obviously it's going to have issues and be a bit bareboned but they, and the other commenters, don't seem to realize that..
A demo that's not absolute perfection? How dare they! I'm avoiding this game! ..Seriously what is wrong with the gaming community nowadays? So many people within the gaming community now act like if a game isn't perfect and like pure innovation then it's not worth it. Don't forget you're also watching 3 bumbling idiots play a game..
Yogscast isn't the best people to use to judge games off of. They regularly overlook just features. Like I am pretty sure Lewis judged the building system without even learning how to do so properly. He loves to do that.
@@ShadowEclipex On ASKA Lewis just assumed there's no drop button and instead keeps using the wave emote to drop things. Osie bothers to actually look at the inventory and finds out that there's 1 slot for large items and you can press drop there. Like you said, Lewis loves to just instantly judge things or assume things. Duncan has learned to do the same.
Thank you for checking out Aloft! ✨
The Lewis salt was genuinely hilarious.
Its like Space Engineers all over again.
Is it ever not?
God it's amazing between Arin of gamegrumps and Lewis of the yogscast I truly don't know which is worse at basic reading, critical thinking and willingness to consult the button config.
looks like such a fun and calm game, love that you can just lay down and chill tbh.

"I want it to look like fallout"
_Foreshadowing_
Poor Lewis - he needs to learn new game mechanics and it's so hard, and so dark. What happened - did he loan out his brain?
The return of Robin.
I like how planting some fuckin trees never once crossed their mind but chopping some down did.
21:00 Duncan mentions planting a seed.
Hello Robin, it's me, Robin! Hello Robin, it's me, Robin!! Hello R- ok I'll stop
Hello Robin, it's me, Robin!
Video was very good fun haha. Enjoying seeing yall test out these new games even if some are a bit shit XD. It just adds to the funny imo

"Next up is the demo of Aloft..." *DEMO*..
I assume they brightened the video because everything still looks pretty visible at night?

Lewis raging at the darkness was too good 😂
Climate change and nature games seem to be Lewis' kryptonite

"Maybe we have to get rid of all the trees"
Lewis, come on lmao
That robin reference never fails to make me laugh XD

when are we gonna get bulge bots instead of the boob bots
Spoken like a true fire emblem player

Robin making another guest appearance!

It really is amazing that people are still pumping out open world survival games after all these years
Another survival crafting game ?
They do work well for streaming sessions
Were you expecting something different? Thats the majority of what this channel does lol.
It's a steam demo fest, so I think they're doing a few short series where they test out new demos. I look forward to seeing what they find!

Are you really surprised?
Classic Yogscast complaining about a game while overlooking stuff that would of helped them. XD
Lol xD
the constant complaining about the game sure makes this video completely unenjoyable
Are you the kind of person to exclusively base your personal enjoyment according to that of people around you? How sad

Seems like a pretty crap game, can't drop, can't build properly. Good to know to avoid though 👌
The glider system is impressive though.
And the UI looks terrible
