On console: while doors textures are loading (you’ll know what I mean) just walk through as the clip script hasn’t initiated yet. You’ll walk right outta the map. Only works on doors that lead into inaccessible buildings.
My tips after playing for 100 hrs. #1- get reinforced tendons aka double jump very early, it changes the way you can approach so many scenarios in this game you'll want it from the start. I got mine maybe 30 hrs in and next run through it's the first cyberware upgrade I'm getting. #2- do NOT get the scrapper perk. It will automatically scrap all ''junk'', problem is a lot of very expensive jewelry is considered junk. You'll be missing out on tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of dollars if you explore a lot like me by taking that perk. And how hard is it anyway to go to a machine push one button and get rid of all junk? And there are much better ways of getting components than breaking down junk. Like the can exploit he mentioned in the video, or just breaking down all those weapons and clothes you pick up and dont' use. #3- This game isn't about the main story it's about the sum of it's parts, if you aren't doing the major side quests you're missing out on the intended experience. You can even complete the game mainly doing side quests only, that's how deeply interwoven these quests are into the main story. #4- Be careful of min/maxing your build, so many good perks are scattered throughout all abilities it's best to at least get every ability to level 9. #5- Don't buy weapons or anything else you can get other ways (especially early game), craft it or find it, everything is too overpriced in stores and you'll just have to constantly keep upgrading weapons to keep them at your level anyway which will take too many parts, so don't think you're going to buy a legendary weapon early game and keep using it the entire game unless you're ready to keep a ridiculous amount of parts on hand, in which case if you're not highly specced into technical that won't be practical. Clothes are reasonably priced mostly though.
your #3 conflicts with your #2, because if you're doing #3, money won't ever be a problem, at least in my case. doing NCPD calls rake in the cash from selling loot guns. also, maybe it's from the ongoing patch, but in my case the double jump is defeated by the hover jump. it gets me so much higher and the hover part can save from fall damage
You missed V's secret mansion when making that long jump! The part where you're vertically jumping to get "out of bounds". There's unique weapons and equipment in there.
Fun fact: these trains were meant to be a feature in the game, thus the NCart stations around the map and the ones along the line with doors on. The feature was scrapped in development.
It took me a very long time to finally get into this game. I tried at least 7 times before I lost interest, recently I started getting back into it, and I am happy I did. I have been reading every shard, and every dialogue. There's so much detail in the world, and 99% of them are easily missable.
Two more things : • If you did the mission "Space oddity" where you find a painting in a capsule that landed in the desert, you can sell it to any dropbox for 4000€$. Leave the dropbox, go back in, you can buy the painting back for 5€$. Leave and go back, you can sell it again for 4000€$, rince and repeat until the dropbox is out of money. Then press the key to go to your character menu, skip 24 hours, the dropbox is back at 20000€$. Enjoy infinite money. • The secret ending will *ONLY* trigger if, during the mission "Chippin' in", when Johnny Silverhand asks you what you'd put on his tombstone "Here lies Johnny Silverhand..." and you reply "...the guy who saved my life". It appears to be the ONE thing really required to trigger the secret ending. Then during the final choices on the roof of Misty's building, you select the Johnny & Rogue mission, and when you should confirm that decision by taking the pill, just wait for about 5 minutes. No need to look at Johnny or the pills or anything, no need to be at 50-60-70% friendship with Johnny. After 5 minutes, Johnny will speak and the dialogues options will go away, and you're in for the 'Don't fear the reaper' ending where you go take on 'Saka tower alone (with Johnny). It's basically the same set of endings as going with Rogue's mission, except Rogue stays at the Afterlife (I'm assuming people reading this already know what normally happens to Rogue, so they should understand what this implies - there's a small impact on the ending where V keeps his/her body, while the impact on the ending where Johnny gets the body is almost null). • During the "Don't fear the Reaper" scenario, the enemies hit super hard. I did it at level 48 with full Johnny Silverhand legendary clothes, and enemies could still two-shot me. Though I was able to two-shot them too, so that evened things out. In retrospect, I would *heavily* recommend a full net-runner build, full intelligence, with legendary quick-hacks. Ping enemies, use contagion, system reset, suicide, cyberphycosis... they won't even have to know you're there. I thought I had a chance with my legendary katana, but in the end, nope, it was a stupid idea. Should've invested 100% in net-running.
Regarding #6 (falling damage free), another way to do it that probably won't be patched out is using the "superhero landing" feature of the Berserker deck. Once you activate the mode, you can fall from any height and do a stylized landing that does damage nearby, while you land without a scratch! It's a pretty late game and expensive (and niche) solution, but I've been having fun with it!
Hilarious that most of these "things you didn't know you could do" videos for 2077 are mostly glitches and/or unintentional things that didn't play test or iron out at all
Rumor has it the elevated train system was supposed to be how your character could get around freely, but it was changed late into the game to have a progressive play where youre expected to pass certain missions to open up other parts of the city. Having a free train (complete with stations stops and tracks marked on the map) that could bypass that really wouldnt make sense. But thats what I remember hearing about that.
Nice tip with the sliding. Sometimes I get too carried away when climbing high buildings. I wouldn't call the respec so much as an actual respect, since it won't let you completely respec ( changing points from body to intelligence for example). Only perk points.
- Timestamps - 2:29 - Avoid Fall Damage by doing the "Slide Move" off the Edge of Tall Buildings 3:40 - Beat the boxing match boss named: "Razor" (cheat by dropping a Cattle-Prod in the ring before the match starts, pick it up once it begins and use it to beat him) 4:28 - To Re-Spec your character buy the "Tabula E-rasa" from a Ripper-Doc (it costs: 100k) 7:44 - Non-Lethal take-downs by Shooting Enemies in the Legs
i see a lot of people praising the double jump, but i gotta say something even better is the hover jump. yes it feels less parkour, but it jumps higher than double jump, and you can hover. you can hover while sniping/shooting people, hover to prevent fall damage, and hover over boss fights really turn those boss pitifully harmless.
These are sweet, I also found a mechanic that’s not too exciting but I feel like it can be easy to miss, if you are datamining you can get all three rewards, just backing out reshuffles the board and requirements for each reward, just do that until you get a favorable setup and you can just type all the requirements in sequence to get all three rewards
#10: Riding ontop of a train. #9: Infinite Money Via Crafting soda cans (Patched). #8: Sliding does no fall damage (Patched). #7: Beat the Brat weapon glitch. #6: Respending Perk points through reset chip in Ripperdocs (25,000 now) #5: Jumping out of bounds/map via double jump leg cyber implant #4: Tech weapons can shoot through walls (Charge) #3: Shooting enemies in the leg (non-lethal). #2: Developer Room (Code 2023) #1: Secret Ending via not responding to conversation in final mission.
I am not sure if a patch changed this but, originally, you had to get your rep with Johnny above 80% to get the secret ending. Otherwise, you can sit there as long as you like and the option will never come up.
I love how people automatically assume you got a console when you complain about something. as if the PC release is 100% ok with no missing content at all lol
The reason everybody is saying you cannot respec your character is because you can't... You can reset your skill points with the Tabula e-rasa but you can never reset or reallocate your attributes. So if you go heavy into the body or intelligence attributes and regret it, you will never be able to get those points back. Sure, if you want to go from a cold blood/assault rifle build to a pistol one, you can, but if you want to switch to a nethacking build from there, you can't. There aren't enough attribute points left in the game to do so.
Not killing People by shooting their legs is nice to know. I usually use the one weapon mod witch makes all you bullets non lethal. So i still can deal my 50K Headshot crits.
You can explore the main Night City while Watson is still on lockdown. There are several ways to do it (at least three that I am aware of).. one requires no special gear but is a bit tricky with jumps. One requires no special gear but requires a fast car and some driving skills. One requires no gaming skill whatsoever, but does require the charge-jump legs (not the doublejump)
Like the consistence, first you show how to fall without taking damage (2:29) and four minutes later you tell you need a solution to survive big falls(6:25).
double jump before landing close to the ground prevents any fall damage. theres a mod that merchants sells that can enable your gun that renders it as non-lethal

Untitled 18 painting: Am I a joke to you?
6:05 you literally skipped the hardest part. I can't see anything up here it's so dark and you just skip how you got up to where you jump from wtf

It took me a very long time to finally get into this game. I tried at least 7 times before I lost interest, recently I started getting back into it, and I am happy I did. I have been reading every shard, and every dialogue. There's so much detail in the world, and 99% of them are easily missable.
Two more things :
• If you did the mission "Space oddity" where you find a painting in a capsule that landed in the desert, you can sell it to any dropbox for 4000€$.
Unfortunately, they patched the ability to dismantle sodas/consumables
This should be called “10 cheats you didn’t know”
welll bugs that work as lifehacks but sure
In number 2, to get into the dev room, you can just hack the password pad to open the door and don't even need to guess the code.
Repsecing your perks is a lot different than respecing your attribute points.
უნიკალური
Exactly
Nice tip with the sliding. Sometimes I get too carried away when climbing high buildings.
I wouldn't call the respec so much as an actual respect, since it won't let you completely respec ( changing points from body to intelligence for example). Only perk points.
The railways...it should be a freaking feature, I hate that they cut so much out :/

All the good outweighs the bad. Love the game!
i see a lot of people praising the double jump, but i gotta say something even better is the hover jump. yes it feels less parkour, but it jumps higher than double jump, and you can hover. you can hover while sniping/shooting people, hover to prevent fall damage, and hover over boss fights really turn those boss pitifully harmless.
