It is the fabled cheat of cooperation. Of course, this one has the added benefit of using two ships that complement eachother. And it is not as bad as that secondary speced carrier with two destroyers doing nothing in the whole game except laying smoke screeens. The latter example mean that three ships did the job of two, artificially making the carrier look good. Sorry Jingles, a video about a (very good) player in the most toxic, OP douchebag ship in the game isn't a good video, now if he'd done that in a Hindenburg, or a Henri, or any other tech tree ship, that would be impressive, but hiding in smoke like a coward and spamming ridiculous amount of shells (as I see in the comments below) turns a lot of people off.
Smolensk... A perfect demonstration of what is wrong with cruiser meta these days. Basically the only way a cruiser can survive at high tiers is what it can hide behind an island, smoke or when it is not a cruiser - as in - pseudo DD, like Smolensk, or has a range advantage, like super-cruisers. Classic cruisers find themselves kind of sandwiched, hammer-anvil kind of situation, where they have to be sneakier than DDs as they lack defensive measures almost completely in comparison to other types of ships, making them ironically the squishiest of them all.
This kinda highlights the thing about the Smolensk. In the hands of a potato it's rather meh but in the hands of someone who know how to use it properly, and even worse in a division with someone else who knows how to use it, it's a demon. The potatoes just drag the spreadsheet averages down so... "Nyet, ship is fine."

@@danh7411 100% healable doesn't mean one heal will restore all your HP. It varies between nations, but one BB heal restores 14% of your HP generally. One perma-fire eats 20% of the health of a BB. You can slightly improve these numbers with flags and captain skills, but overall, one perma-fire roughly eats one heal in most scenarios. If you have two perma-fires, and are low HP you will go down even if healing. In terms of theoretical HE dpm of Smolensk is 2 times that of Hindi. And even practically, if you look at the effective damage output of the salvos in this video, he was managing ~2K per HE salvo, by comparison, Hindi can put ~4K per HE salvo in practice (slightly more on unsaturated parts, less if saturated), but Smolensk can put out almost 3 salvos by the time Hindi reloads. And that's ignoring the ludicrous fire chances. AP is also quite nasty, you see 4K to 8K damages on BBs, Hindi can manage 12K, but again, at a lower rate of fire. Minotor is a bit like Smolensk and can actually deal a bit more damages, but can't ignite multiple fires. Smolensk is also weirdly able to tank shells at close range thanks to overpens where the Mino can get dev strikes easily. Lastly aiming with the Smolensk is way easier compared to the Mino thanks to the faster shells.

Ah yes, the pro gameplay of using one of the most overpowered ships in the game cheesed up with another ship purely there to reinforce its strengths. Absolute skill.
yeah, but he needed his Fletcher buddy to do all that damage. Would my top damage in a ship count if everyone on the other team was AFK and I killed them all? How about if I had buddies in all the ships on the enemy team and they let me kill them? I know those are two extreme examples, but they fall in the same category: if I bring other people into a match for the purpose to inflate my damage done, should it count at the same level as someone who accomplished the same task solo?

"They ain't gonna sink themselves." Anyone recall a few years back when Jingles posted a video where a destroyer player suckered a carrier into torpedoing itself? It was long before the carrier rework mind you, not sure it would happen now, but boy was it hilarious 😂
I REMEMBER THAT ONE!!!
I know I'm late, but does anyone have the link to that?
i'm even later, but i too, would like that link
"This is not, the most damage in NA.... It's only a tribute..."
Underrated comment lol
To all the hampsters that yell for BB's to push at the start of a match, that Iowa is a prime example of why we don't.
Theres a difference in yolo suicide, supporting your DD,s and pushing as one
push to the cap, not broadside to a entire team.
Either bow on or lodge himself behind the island. this way the DD doesn't just get hammered by the other side.
But instead, potato gotta potato and its broadside time.
i love pushing, i love brawling ,i love getting up close and personal.....but if im in a BB and i see a smolensk.....i go hard to starboard and go in the opposite direction.......i treat a smolensk like i treat a wall of shima torpedoes.....i stay TF away
In a perfect world that would be the carrier's job
@@Legendendear it is,but that takes a brain to figure out,so that rules out about 85% of the entire playerbase
Good to see you back jingles
Smolensk replay. BLEEECCHHHHHHHHH
smolenskin a smoke and arty are on the same level of entertainment
remember when WG nerfed the Smolensk by reducing it's armor by a couple of millimeters? I remember because I thought it was hilarious.
Out of 18 tier 10 cruisers the Smolensk is 15th in win rate.
If they just made it a choice between smoke or heal I don't think the ship would be as bad. It Just has too much survivability for something that is supposed to be a glass cannon.
Losing 30mm on the side is not a small nerf.
@@Sfirodrepanoskarxarias you’ve got me interested now do you know what the top is?
@@blaynsaw1990 Stalingrad, Petro, Goliath, Venezia.
"American smokescreen....big...lasts forever..." That's a profound observation MJ. :)
Only in America!!!
Man, it must be nice to not have like 4 ships in range and not fire a single shot at you for 7 full minutes
🤣🤣🤣just seen this clip this morning on anouther youtubers chanel ...is epic ...but the level of epicness with jingles comenting is stratosferic🤣🤣🤣 happy new year jingles !!! Keep up the good work !!!
Happy New Year, Jingles is back!
Agreed.
First Jingles video I've ever disliked. I have no interest in watching T10 seal clubbing via an invisible minigun.
I knew skipping my afternoon nap would be worth it
Then they get perma-spotted by carrier aircraft, making all their efforts pointless. This is why I've quit this game.
every time I watch a replay like this with a smolensk afterwards I always have an overwhelming urge to take a long shower
>sees the O7 clan tag
>it's BFK
That enemy team was screwed from the beginning.
2:40 'big and lasts forever'. Ring a bell?
This kinda highlights the thing about the Smolensk. In the hands of a potato it's rather meh but in the hands of someone who know how to use it properly, and even worse in a division with someone else who knows how to use it, it's a demon. The potatoes just drag the spreadsheet averages down so... "Nyet, ship is fine."
Totally sucks the fun out of the game, this playstyle.
Smolensk is like seal clubbing at TX
Damn, his trigger finger most be powerfull. Bet his girlfriend is very happy with it :P
Great vid as always jingles.
Best wishes for 2021
Pretty sure it would be a Boyfriend...
Watching paint dry is more fun than watching this video jingles.....
Great replay. Thanks :)
This player: You see it's really facking simple. While your guns go pew pew my guns go brrrrrrrrrt *all the way to 1500 hits*
Also this game is proof no matter how good you are. How well you play. You can't carry stupid always.
Ah womble. So many good quotes (Cyanide too)
Kaga actually gets 200mm secondary guns; the same ones as the stock guns on the Furutaka
Sure, she also has some 127mm ones but no 100mm guns
...Jingles, what are you doing with that shotgun?
24 fires set, easily killing battle ships - this is just wrong
then you realize fires are 100% healable.
and you can kill a BB much faster with Hinden, Mino, etc
Fire is the death of any ship. Always has been, always will be, whether on water or in space ;)
@@kakwa and don't you think that in this battle scenario with those BBs and Alaskas, Hinden with 50mm HE pen will have much better effective DPM and therefore have better results?
Save yourself 18 minutes of your life. . .
Summary: Unicum player takes overpowered Soviet napkin ship, divs with American smoke, farms massive amounts of damage.
It's about as amusing and impressive as watching a psychopath relentlessly kick puppies and kittens.
Happy New year Jingles and every one else
Me before watching this.
"Wow, that's a lot of dislikes. Wonder why."
*Sees the boat*
"Oh I see now."
This ship needs to be removed
Oh yes, what a way to start the year
If this weren't a jingles video...would not have watched it to completion.
Happy new year jingles :-)
And this is the perfect demonstation of what is wrong with this game and why I stopped playing it.
Absolutely that and the dumbass rework
Yay jingles is back from his little break was getting bored of watching old videos
I come here not for the content but for this mans laugh
Title sounds like from the Terminator series.
no that was put the coffin down lol in Judgement day
One wonders if the magical aircraft producing fairies are in some way related to the magical torpedo producing fairies that inhabit the WG universe.
They are all sisters.
Why THAT Fletcher? Because that is an alt account in a clan comprised of very good super unicums that hunt CVs. You could put them all in tugboats and they would somehow win most of the time.
Yeah 🤣
I just quit the game yesterday. This video makes me glad I did. Thanks Jingles.
lol
Ah yes, the pro gameplay of using one of the most overpowered ships in the game cheesed up with another ship purely there to reinforce its strengths. Absolute skill.
yeah, but he needed his Fletcher buddy to do all that damage. Would my top damage in a ship count if everyone on the other team was AFK and I killed them all? How about if I had buddies in all the ships on the enemy team and they let me kill them? I know those are two extreme examples, but they fall in the same category: if I bring other people into a match for the purpose to inflate my damage done, should it count at the same level as someone who accomplished the same task solo?
can you feel the balans?
This made me realize how much I miss Warships content daily.
hee jingles i hope you and your wife have a healthy 2021
My instant reaction to an enemy Smolensk is to rush it down and kill it, ram if I have to. The Smo is the objectivifaction of everything wrong in Warships.
Im officially impressed.
Carry of the century this is my lord this was just fun to watch
Your commentary always cheers me up!
Could just be that he wanted t9 mm so went with a t9 dd
Love me some Mighty Warship videos! Bring back Why You Heff to be mad. Also I think it's KV 2 o clock somewhere and maybe storytime with jingles. Just something to pass the time while we finish recovering in the hospital...that we landed in, after we received our "Christmas presents".
The Smolensk is without a doubt overpowered
Smolensk... that doesnt count. One of those ships that needs to be deleted from the game.
"It's that bloody boatgame again"
"Oh bugger, the ship is on fire!"
Magical aircraft-producing fairies! LOL!
Glad to see some warships vids. With the guy from Croatia deciding to not do WOWS vids much anymore,,, and you on holiday,,, I needed a fix.
Thanks Jingles.
ahh the magic smolensk - good game and also the reason i left wows :)
I like how the only kill the rest of the team managed to get was with IJN CA secondaries
Happy new year jingles. You mic audio level is a bit low when games sounds appear. Pls tune it up like 25%.
Basic question, he seems to be salvo firing rather than ripple firing. Is there a way to do this without double clicking?
How do the talents work? How do we get them on our captains?
Jingle Shells... Jingle Shells.... Jingle all the waaaaay
Cancerlensk doing cancer-things.
And this is why I stopped playing WoWS as much. Tier 8 and up is just ....... this...... thing.
I've always hated facing off against a Smolensk, unless you can focus them down or sneak some torps in on it you should just avoid the damned things.
imagine the amount of fun the Bismarck captain had. or any of those battleships and cruisers for that matter, all of them outgunned by 130mm AP.
Fletcher spends most of its time in tier 10 matches anyway and is right at home at that tier with those fast reloading torpedoes and better concealment than Gearing.
Agreed. I generally do better in Fletcher than Gearing.
Thanks Paul, he can use the positive vibes these days.
omg HUGE FAN!!! is that the international galactic verizon champion? aka the hunter of beasts? aka the furrier of pelts? aka geargiong?
By carefully examining the information in the replay I was able to deduce the following build for his Smol (in case anyone might be wondering):
wowsft.com/ship?index=PRSC610&modules=11111&upgrades=113221&commander=PCW001&skills=271598081&ar=100&flags=8340&consumables=1111&pos=0
I am not sure if he was running IFHE or not, but based on the frequency of fires, and the frequency of penetrations on the Alaska, I think he was running with IFHE.
How do i play with good players with out getting splattered all over the sea
?
Late replay Jingles Panzerknacker replayed this exact battle yesterday on his channel.
Wait... did Jingles call all the ships by their correct name and type? What is this magic?
"It's all HE spam?"
"It always was."
Carrier Plane Mechanics: I guess it's Jeep Carrier mentality.
