So glad I came across your channel! This has been so helpful. I’ve just started my journey to become a nail tech and I really appreciate seasoned techs giving advice/lessons. 🥹❤️
Overall they held up very well lasted 2 weeks before I took it off. I was def skeptical with the base coat but now I'm really loving it. Removal was still the same process even with the base coat just because of the soft gel build and taking down the bulk.
Yes I did.... Leafgel's no sanding has change formula since, so their no sanding is a semi hard gel. I tested it for about a week and I was very surprise at how it held up. Usually no sanding base chips and peels within days from my experience.
Yes, structure gel is great for overlays. The difference between the sculpting gel and extreme clear plus is going to be the viscosity of it. Sculpting gel will have a much thicker viscosity vs the Extreme Clear being a thin viscosity. Extreme Clear is a base coat which will not be good to build a nail with unless you are doing nail art and you are putting it in layers which can create strength but not like the sculpting gel. Hopes this helps. 😊
It depends on brand, each brand has its own unique way of curing so that you won't feel the burn. I've been using Leafgel and I do feel a slight burn but its not so terrible to the point where I need to take it out of the lamp. Leafgel structure gel is a low heat spike kind of gel. 😊😊
I actually like the sand free base, it held really well. I would say its about the same as the extreme clear Looks like they change the formula a bit so I would say the sand free base in now semi hard gel rather than a soft.
@@pinkpineapplenailsthank you for the explanation! Do you have to file off the sand free base or are you still able to soak it off with acetone? I just got an E-file and I don’t feel comfortable filing that deep 😅
You know I was actually really surprised by how well it lasted. I wore it for 2 weeks. It is recommended to put two coats of base but I just did my usual of one.
Thank you for your video! I have the opportunity to do an online leaf gel course where I live, do you think it would not be beneficial as it is online? Also how many curing lamps do leaf gel have? Could you please recommend a good one? Thank you in advance! 💜
For sure I think taking the online Leafgel is definitely beneficial. I think the only hard part is not being able to have your work checked on up close, to see what you can improve on. Funny thing is that when I took my course it was the peak of Covid and so I DID do everything online plus took my educator course and test ALL online😅. If you have questions regarding Leaf Gel let your educator know. We as educators are always willing to answer any questions that you might have. On to Leafgel Lamps… I know of only one that they have. They do have the sister brand Lily Gel and they also have a lamp. They both seems to be out of stock for awhile now. And to answer what is the best lamp to use/have I would recommend any gel lamp that is within the Wave length of 365nm-UV and 405nm-LED. Suggesting at least 36+ Watts to cure gels. The higher the watts the faster it cures gels. So definitely read what each lamp wattage out puts are when purchasing. Hopes this helps.
So informational, thanks for sharing ! I've started taking an interest in gel nails as a hobby and do them myself and this video really help ☺

You did a beautiful job and appreciate the camera work. How did they hold up and how was removal?

@@pinkpineapplenails thank you!
Thanks for showing how to build extensions. Did you find that the no sanding base had good adhesion and longevity?
Yes I did.... Leafgel's no sanding has change formula since, so their no sanding is a semi hard gel. I tested it for about a week and I was very surprise at how it held up. Usually no sanding base chips and peels within days from my experience.
Can you use this gel for gel overlays as well? what's the difference between the sculpting gel and the extreme clear plus base gel? Thank you.

How does the gel not burn when you cure it? Everytime I use my gel x it burns like crazy when I’m curing it. Could it be the brand I’m using?

How do you like the Leafgel Sand-Free base coat? Did it last a long time?

How long did this base coat last for you?

I wore it for 2 weeks. I could've pushed out 3 but I can never have the same set for too long. 😁😁
