@@redtobertshateshandles 🤣 I hear you. My mate Bushy was fond of saying something along the lines of “I don’t like fishing very much, but I love catching fish”. He has a point…
Great video Starlo, i use the Decoy nail bomb weedless jig heads regularly and find the hook up rate not bad, do you use a harder strike when setting the hook on a weedless worm hook, or similar to jig heads strike, learning heaps watching your videos, great work,
am going on my trip of a lifetime to tassie.camn't take my boat and caravan. any suggestions for land based spots for kgs or the big black bream that have been on my bucket list for years?
I haven’t chased the KG whiting down there land-based but I believed there are spots for it, especially in the lower Tamar estuary. As for bream, there are SO many options! The Scamander River would be a good starting point, but don’t ignore any of the small, often land-locked coastal lagoons you’ll drive past along the east coast. Most hold bream and are rarely fished. There are land based options in the lower Derwent around Hobart, too. Tight Lines!
Smart anglers don't necessarily do that. A lot of times when I fish from the bank I cast ALONG the shoreline or parallel to it. Fish often relate to structure, and the shoreline is a key structural element.
Been watching you since bushy and starlo when I was a young bloke. Love the content mate you bushy and Rex are a big reason I love fishing now!
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice to see a youtuber post a slow day for a change, makes me feel better about my typical outtings! haha

Can you share the rod reel and line selection pls Sir...
One rod is Shimano Anarchy and the other a Shimano Poison Adrena. Both light spin models. reels are older model 1000-sise Shimano Stradics.

@@anthonycox1870 thanks for that. Yes, striking a bit harder than usual can help punch the hook clear of the plastic.

Is that in that little bay diagonally opposite the boat ramp/Lavender Bay area near the airstrip?
@@AndrewMcLaughlin-cr8qq somewhere not too far from there!
@@StarloGetsReel My brother and I used to explore in there in one of Laing's rowboats...45+ years ago now
If we fish in a boat or kayak we try and cast as close to the bank as possible if we fish on the bank we try and cast as far as possible. 😂 why.
Smart anglers don't necessarily do that. A lot of times when I fish from the bank I cast ALONG the shoreline or parallel to it. Fish often relate to structure, and the shoreline is a key structural element.
Note to self.
STOP READING THE DAMN COMMENTS AND JUST WATCH THE VIDEO. 😂
You don't use scent Starlo?
I almost always use scent. Both these lures had Squidgies S Factor on them and I re-applied a couple of times through the session.
what kayak are you using in this video
Native Watercraft Ultimate FX.
