    Kootu can be prepared in many different ways, each family has its own recipe, this is from my mother.

    It was excellent and I am also a Kannada Madhwa Brahmin. My mummy used to make like this only. You also explained very well.

    Hi Ma'am. Absolutely love your channel. I have this doubt from many years. What exactly is the difference between kootu and huli?

      thanks :) nanna anubhavadalli kootu and huLi are same. pangadagala mele hesaru ashte. sanna putta vyatyasa bitre major enilla

    Nice recipe but I would like to add 1 tip- masonry dal needs some kind of acid to bring out its natural sweet flavor. It can be lemon juice or tamarind. I added lemon juice in the end and it just elevates this dish taste to another level.

      few minutes, thumbaa fine paste aagalla, but that much is enough for the kootu

    Swayampaka Madam, Bele Hukki baravaga, mele theladuva nure ( kenethara baruva) adhanna Savutindha thagibeku, karana Bele maleuruva dust kole thelubaruthave, Amele kosannu Hakabeku. Hope u know better than me. B.coz if we cook along with it the kootu will not stay for long.

      khanditha, cabbage is one example ashte. nivu seemebadane kayi, mixed vegetables soppu....use maad bahudu

      amarnath sharma they will call Mysore dal or Belle easy to cook outside if you soak this and if you Cook within 10 to 15 mins it will cook outside.
