When you're recieving something for free please don't keep such high hopes 😅 and technically you can't blame them for scamming you cause scam is only valid for things that you are paying for but not receiving the right one.

This is definitely not a scam. The inventory for free product is obviously different from the products available online. And, sometimes some products can be expired, or spoiled from the free inventory. In that case only must have sent you amother product. And, at least they sent something. Some brands may just not send anything.

Ma'am I was working with nykaa for 4 years......jo aapne website pe apni free product check ki wo different category me aata he wo product sirf direct selling ke liye hota he isliye wo available bata rha he ....
Aur jo apko bola gaya tha free product choose krne k liye uski category dusri rehti he wo online aap check nhi kr sakte uska data sirf hamare pass hi rehta he........free product ki alag inventory rehti he shayad waha khatm ho gaya hoga isliye apko replacement mila

Your reason work in case the offer was to send 1 free product. But when it clearly written in offer that customer choose their desired shade in lipstick it is not to send anything just for the sake of giving a free gift. There is a high customer wouldn't want to buy the products from that particular brand. Just bcz deal was she purchased that product. Now it is her lose . Also the sent concealer shade may not suit her.
Once it happened with me in different shopping site. I was not planning to buy any lipstick at that time. But I had 2 shade in my wishlist to buy in future. But that brand never give B1G1. So when brand gave B1G1 offer I purchased that 2 shades. Thought offer is good. I saved some money. But who knew brand only sent me 1 good product, 2nd lipstick was expired. Now whenever there is any B1G1 offer in any site and brand I feel hesitate to place order bcz of this bad incident.

I can totally relate to you.. I had ordered for over 10-20 k on nykaa in this hot pink sale and there were a lot… I mean a lotttt of products that I received damaged and after some returns and replacements they are saying that we are not going to return or replace your product because we have done this a lot of time and now we won’t do it… I mean I am so furious right now that I don’t know what to say… I have provided them with every proof required and after few days they approve these requests and still this is the answer given to me…. I have also received some products which will expire in almost 6-7 months I haven’t returned or asked for replacement for them but the products that are damaged aren’t acceptable at all

They also sent me a useless wing eyeliner stamping pen that has no color. I couldn't use it even for a day it was all dried up. When I talked to customer support they didn't change the bday gift as it is free product.

I once returned something and then they completely denied the return and refused to refund the money. In such cases you should try emailing the matter to their customer service and then as a last resort, move the case to the consumer court. They finally refunded my money to me after the consumer court case against them.
