I clicked this video SO fast when I saw the notification. I adore your videos. You inspire me so much and I can’t wait to return home🇭🇹💖
Thank you!!!!!💛
@@ruttyb No…thank YOU. The jaspora needs to see this. I’m so tired of our people being afraid of our own homeland. Keep doing what you’re doing sis…it’s making a big difference🙏🏾🙏🏾
Saw your channel and immediately subscribed. Been living in the States for a year now after marrying my Haitian-American husband. Girl when I say I miss Haiti. I MISS IT. But every time I try to go back, family members are scaring the shit out of me and the news are scaring me too.
I'm at the point of dreaming of local foods when I sleep lol. You just drove past my home in Bourdon. ❤️❤️❤️
When I watched your videos forget about insecurity in my country
Love you guys 💘
I love watching Positive videos about Haiti especially from someone who lives there. Love the videos please keep them coming
Always enjoying watching your vlogs, specially because you are showing me my motherland that I miss so much.
Hola . We call it "iron pot " in Trinidad 🇹🇹... The darker it gets the more "seasoned" .. There's one in every ..Trini Kitchen.. lol....
Great Job on the food girl. You’re not playing for a young woman who grew up in the state. Kudos to you. Nice to see a new video. Have fantastic week. Blessings
Thank you!!!💛
I miss Haiti. thank you for the video
I love how your husband is patiently waiting for you while you were describing the food! haha keep those vlogs coming Rutty!
I also love your top, do you remember where you purchased it? Merci d'avance:)

It’s so nostalgic watching your videos. I left Haiti and 04 and I still recognize a few roads 😢
Another great vlog, definitely want to see you cook 😊. Thanks for the Q&A its always interesting to learn about your work in Haiti.
Thanks for the vlog 🇭🇹 I never knew Haiti had all of this lol and I can’t wait to go there if I can !! Especially Petion ville or okap
Two great options that I would recommend for visitors, especially Okap at the moment.
Mezanmi hmmm
I love these videos please keep them coming
The aesthetic is so satisfying☺
Always great quality vlogs Rutty. To answer your question , yes I would like to see you show us more of what you do in the kitchen or in the house .Rice with coconut milk taste best to me.
Omggggg I love your videos ❤️❤️
This is so beautiful I miss Haiti 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
Great videos. You are organized and meticulously, that’s very admirable.
I love how you mix the kreyòl with the English 😆 it's funny. I caught myself doing that sometimes 😅. Helping the machann.
It gets hard to think in different languages😩. I always forget how to say things in English now lol.
Beautiful island. ❤️
Just stumble on your channel and I am so inspired by you. As a American born to Haitian parents I have always had love and soft spot for Haiti. I want to buy real estate in the Cap Haitien area. My parents are from Port-au-Paix. My ultimate dream is to create a product or business concept that will provide economic development to Haitian women. I'm just trying to figure it out.
That would be awesome!! I hope you’re able to do something like that.
@@ruttyb Yes. Me too.
My family is from Port de paix too
You can do it sis lol! Omg cap Haitian this is where I live now after I moved back to Haiti..
@@annepierre-joseph2713 Thank you for the encouragement 🙏

Your outfit is everything!
We are interested in seeing it; that's why we are watching you 😀
Good to see my boy’s working out 🏋️♀️ 😂😂
Enjoy your vlog. Normally i be like let me watch for a little bit, i always ended up watching the whole thing 😂
I’m waiting for the plaisance edition though. Lol
Definitely need a Plaisance vlog! Hopefully you’ll be here then👀. Thanks for watching Herb💛
Hello dear Rutty, So happy to find your channel. I’ve been watching your videos. And I love them. Keep up the good work. Notifications is on and subscribed☺️. And yes, coming from the South specifically from Les Cayes, we put coconut milk in almost everything 😂.
Thanks for watching hun!!💛
I enjoy watching your videos, it gives me an updated idea of the temperature and current situation in Haiti. When it comes to riz national or du riz cole, no in general we do not put coconut in it. Usually we put coconut in mais cole ak pois. at least that's how we do it in PAP I am from PAP so I am talking from what I've witnessed. But it's okay if it is how you guys do it in your part of the country. Keep on doing the videos and stay safe.
Im very interested in seeing you cook!! I will need to learn!!
Nice Video Rutty. Always enjoy your video
Thanks Wood💛
Girl I want to see everything you do lol. Like everything hahahahhah. Let me live through you 😭😭😭😭 please
She can’t-for safety reasons 🤷🏾♀️lol
Notification gang gang gang gang😝😝😝🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️

Hello I always enjoy your videos the office space looks nice. God Bless Josephine:)
Thank you!!💛
I'm so glad to find your channel. I love seeing my fellow Ayitians posting videos of the beautiful country. Can you leave advice for Ayitians in the states looking to return? How accurate is the news in regards to safety coming back? Keep posting.
Great video sis 🇭🇹🤗
Thanks hun!💛
Girls ready for first communion at 10:38 ❤
Lawddddd I’m stilllll trying to heal from the barbancourt 😭😭 lmfaoooo
Girlllll I was so hot after that one shot😂
Just discover your channel. I love Haiti. Something about you reminds me of Eve (the Rapper).
Omg my aunt used to tell me I look like her lol. I don’t see it.
Hey hey Rutty B…enjoyed watching today..your Subbie here from Tobago 🇹🇹
Hey boo!💛
I love it
Thank you sis for always showing the other side of Haiti
I am getting sick and tired of reading comments made by haitians saying the country was beautiful; because they tend to confuse the capital Port au Prince, my native place with the entire country.
I just hope that after watching your videos they will stop talking and writing about this non sense.♥️🇭🇹🩱👙🏖️Haiti is still beautiful especially Petion Ville with new constructions everywhere as well as Fort Liberte, Ennery, Cap Haitian, Jacmel, Jeremie, Saint Louis du Nord, Les Cayes, Milot, Port Salut etc.
Thank you for this great content🙂. My goal is to go and spend at least 2 weeks in Haiti before end of 2022🍾
💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
The hard rice we call it concon 🇩🇴
I got notification today. I clicked on it right away. Why I got notification a day later !!
Sorry boo! 😩 but happy you got to watch!💛
Good job 👏 👏👏👏👏
Loved this video. Sub'd!
Im so ready to move to Haiti! (to Au Cap) just need a couple more years, and im done with rhis foolishness.
Love the apartment
Yeah in jacmel we use coconut milk too
Very interesting content I only hear bad things about Haiti nice to see another side
I really like to see someone making this kind of video in Haiti
, I always thought of myself doing it but, unfortunately there is a lot of blockage.
Wow! Wow! My beautiful cousin Rutty. I thank The Almighty God for your life. Cousin Carlo, sent this to me. I didn't know you have UA-cam channel. I am please to see you doing such a marvelous job. Keep it up Darling! By the way this is your cousin Wildad (Dadoune) in Virginia. I hope I will see you at ma tante's,grand-ma's funeral ❤👏💋
Hi cousin!!! Thanks for watching! Yes, I will be at the funeral. See you soon💛
My husband studied in Cuba as well.
Black rice✅ Duri Djon 🤣❤️
Omg asterix is still there 🙌🏽
In Jamaica we call that pot a Dutch Pot! Not sure if it’s from the Dutch.
Yes I use coconut milk in rice💯🇹🇹
I love her ❤❤🍫 Ruth B

Every time I watch your videos yo tjou plis anrasinen lide poum tounen lakay pi fon nan tèt mwn. Thanks a lot. Rèv mwn pap chanje, mwn konnen yon jou map tounen kanmèm. Lakay se lakay
Wow you just unlocked something for me. I grew up with my family from Cabaret and yeah no coconut in our diri kole but my sister grew up learning to cook from her mom and aunts from Jacmel and they use it. I have always been confused by that but now it makes sense.
Also wow my spirit somehow remembers that yellow rice you’re talking about. I didn’t have it often but I remember when we use to go to family houses endeyo especially that rice is magic. Damn if I can just be 6 again for just one day living in my Ayiti Cherie
I hope you can visit one day and have those old experiences! 🙏🏾🇭🇹
@@ruttyb Actually bought a ticket me and my cousin are going to Okap in October for my bday...so yes...and your channel had a lot to do with convincing both of us to make the trip...neither one of us knew there was such a place as Okap much less you can fly directly there from the U.S. Now he who is more skeptical of Haiti then I am is talking to me about buying property there and figuring out our early retirement plans...so things are in motion
@@jj007104 omg this is wonderful!!! I’m glad you’ll be experiencing Okap soon💛
I didn’t even watch the video yet and I subscribed so live my life for pls 😩
We need a house tour .
I love your place mat
I'm sorry to be all over your comments like that, lol. That street market right next to Giant Supermarket is my mom's favorite. But the minute they heard your accent, prices probably doubled. I love AVANI too. The prices are already marked there so it's easier to not be taken for a ride.
I barely go to Giant anymore. It seems really empty in there. I love Caribbean Market! It has everything you can find in the States. When buying on the street, my husband negotiates lol. That’s why I love Avani. I don’t have to worry about that.
I love your videos . My suggestion is by meats and vegetables from the mache instead and seasoned the meat put it in freezer bag and freeze it . That’s should save you some money.
Great idea! My only issue is going to the mache lol. There are only a few street markets that I feel comfortable going to in the PauP area. Like the one you saw in the video. It’s mainly a fruit & vegetable one, but I like it cause it isn’t hectic. I go to the street market when I’m in other towns, but not so much where I live.
Your hubby loves the “Bun Bun” bottom of the pot, delish
I used coconut milk in my rice but my husband does not like it too. My mother is from the north and she does use coconut milk too.
I would love if you did a cooking video with measurements! I miss haitian food
Not sure if the pot is cast iron, but we call it a cast iron pot, great for cooking
Ooohhh where did you get the plate setters, the coasters and the napkin holder from pleeeasse. Girl One day I will be emailing you for help to book a trip to that hotel in Cap-Haitian🙏🏾🙏🏾bc these vlogs are giving me…request your days off months in advance so they can’t say no😝😝
Haaaaa yes! Please let me know when you’re ready! I think I bought them somewhere in Haiti a long time ago before moving here. They sell them everywhere!
Ahhhh Samy ou renmen graten epi se mwen wap pale mal wap dim visye🤣🤣
You eyebrows are amazing 😻 you
is there a big gas issue in that area as well?
Nice video btw. Keep safe.
You look beautiful.
Your skin so radiant.
Thank you!💛💛💛
Thanks for the video and what are the super markets you went to in Haiti 🇭🇹 again?
I usually go to Caribbean Market or Belmart.
Great vlog, curious if you have any helpers or live with anyone else.
Always wanted to live in port au Prince any places recommended to go to although it’s not safe😂
So i want to visit next week. Is it safe enough 🤔?
Such a great vlog mixed with a bit of street life/daily lifestyle, I saw you use 21:57 dermalogica skin products would you say they are good/worth the price ?
Yes! I would definitely recommend Dermalogica. I have oily acne prone skin, so it’s hard to find good products. But they work.
🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
Gade Bèl Ayiti
Also, are you able to plant any fruits and veggies where you are. I was born and grew up in port au prince and one thing I noticed, people in the city didn’t grow much of fruits/veggies. Thinking you can have some stuff available to you and that may cut out from grocery bill. Just an idea. Lol idk how to grow much, but a mango and avocado tree don’t require much once it get started.
That’s something we definitely want to do when we build our house. We have passion fruit & a few others things now. But fruits & veggies aren’t really expensive cause we buy them locally on the street or at the farmers market. I usually only buy imported goods at the grocery store, which is super expensive. But local products aren’t too bad.
Hi just came Cross your channel new subscriber 👋
Would also love to see your wider community of friends! So far most of the videos have been with Samy and what looks like his guy friends, which is fine. Do you have girls' nights etc?
My girl friends are in the States. I’m not really a make new friends kinda girl.
Can we have a house tour🙈
I don't use the coconut milk but I use creamed coconut. I used the milk one day and I think I put too much it made the rice mushy.
The coconut milk replaces a certain amount of water you use. So if you were going to put 4 cups of water, you’d use 2 cups of water & 2 cups of coconut milk instead (just an example).
@@ruttyb mmm ok. I will try it.
How did you decide on a place or area to live?? I am in love with your vlog, I just came across it today, because I’m interested in moving to Haiti.
I like modern homes & this area has really nice properties. It’s also in the mountains & very peaceful. It was just personal preference.
@@ruttyb I am in love!! I’ve been binge watching all of you vlogs 😂❤️❤️ Thank you for this, you really inspire me.
I love gratin
I wanted everything I saw in that store… except the Barbancourt 😔

Is everything cool now? I wanna go home so bad. Wish I could move back.
Yes.
Thé chaudière in English is boiler lol
I was just saying how cute it is that says helping the machann. Mixing the English with Kreyòl is so cute.
Shower pete 😀😃😃😃
I am a nurse and I studied that burned food causes cancer. I used to give my husband graten too but I stopped after I studied that.
It’s not like that. It’s just the way she explained it in her own understanding lol
The first time I heard about that was actually in Haiti. But it isn’t burnt. I was saying “almost” burnt lol very crispy.
my sis in the US 🇺🇸 even water 💧 😩 causes cancer if you’re believe on everything you heard from the news with no facts
It’s not the burnt food. It comes from scraping then ingesting the compound PFOA in Teflon pans (nonstick pans). As for aluminum pans they claim that there is no risk.
@@WifeMomNurse777 good to know! I have to research this😫
Rutty , your apartment looks amazing. How were you able to get it,the location..was it through a real estates company or a realtor? Please share.
A realtor, video coming soon.
