Not saying the Zafira VXR is a hot hatch or performance vehicle but it got the kit to be competent in the corners, not just a powerful Astra engine put in it. It's one of the few minivans i've seen on track.
I've recently bought a zafira vxr for 4k. It's been remaped to 267bhp by courtney sport and it's crazy fast. I've never owned a car quite like that. But the insurance is 580quid a year. And the tax IS 670QUID which is ridiculous but is definitely worth every penny.

It's a minor point but the Espace F1 was a Williams (UK) car with a Matra (France) bodyshell on it. The only bit that is Renault is the marketing department :-) Of course, Williams had plenty of JVs with Renault but calling it a Renault is like saying a McLaren is a Mercedes.
Well in America most minivans accelerate faster than your average small sized sedan, and most of them use very tunable engines, with the Kia Sedona using a naturally aspirated version of the Kia stinger engine, the odyssey using an engine that is already been proven to be capable of producing 1000 hp, and the Nissan quest which still uses the VQ35DE

So compare apples to oranges the space for cargo really decides if it should be a van or a large car. That being said half the vehicles on here were actually just station wagons with a box body tailgate on them anyway so the title to this video is really full of shit either way you slice it so at least the Espace was close. I only counted two actual true vans on the whole video and had to go Espace the wheelbase bonus points to at least confer it a little over half accurate.

My 2013 EcoBoost Flex tuned for 93. 3bar map sensor and colder NGK plugs, otherwise stock. Puts 320 to all wheels for HP and TQ.

None of those cars are built for speed. They are built for handling, and they intentionally made them far less powerful than they could have been.

First time i drove an odyssey i thought, oh, it's a mini van with a little kick. Neat. No jokes had a wreak happen right in front of me and the odyessy dodged and burst out like it was a tiny race car. Been in love since.
We've got the Dodge Caravan R/T here in the States. Around 286HP V6 and a 6 speed auto. Very rare and nice looking van. I've only ever seen one in person. I'd love to own it!

Nator 27 No worries. *Nobody* ever purchased a Venom GT and *nobody* is seen driving one anywhere - so it's not like you'd be judged for driving something *nobody* was stupid enough to fork up a lot of money for.
Almost all of these hypercars cars are purchased by people with more money than sense & no mechanical empathy and most of the remainder use them as substitutes for personalities.
What that means is that secondhand ones are frequently semi-destroyed internally.

I always liked my 97 Ram B2500 full size van. Ripped the 3.9L out of it and dropped a 440 into it. :) was always fun going light to light against smaller cars. tho also use to have a Turbo Chrysler mini van that was also quick.
