Old Celtic/Nordic collection next please Native Instruments!
I really like this collection. Although, as myself who has Korean background - I would have liked more of Melodic Korean instruments - too bad they missed out more iconic instruments like Piri, or Taepyungso.
It's really unfortunate that there aren't great sample/vst developers from South Korea... :( They are really missing opportunities in this field.
Sounds very smooth, I like it a lot, It'd be cool if there was a Shinobue and Ryuteki in there too, I don't see those often, at least ones I want
Really gutted about East Asia. I was about to purchase this libuary, when I discoved that my kontakt player needs updating as it doesn't support it. I'm already looking forward to the Christmas sales so I can resolve this issue. With that said, I loved the unique sounds and articulations that each of these instruments presents to us. Your right Don, this is an opportunity to learn and gain more understanding about how these instruments work. I can't wait to incorporate these sounds into my songwriting adventures. Thanks Don.
Hey David
This is a Kontakt Player instrument so it comes with the newest “Player” version of Kontakt. And should work for you :)
Great presentation, as always Don! keep up the good work!
Hi~ thanks for making the video! Is there a staccato or 'short' articulation for the melodic instruments? mainly asking for ERHU and all the other flutes like DIZI and DAEGEUM..
It's pronounced 'Aerr - who'. But 'dead stop' it a bit at the end of the 'who'
...cool and next: Hang Instruments?
Thank you for the East Asia overview...this would be a great addition to my library collection!! Also, if you are able to acquire a copy of the new Native Instruments PIANO COLORS and share an overview that would be awesome. :)
Will this actually work without i7 intel or higher? I've never seen such a requirement for a plug-in before.
Thank you for the introduction! I really wanna get it but I found the system requiement is at least macOS 10.13 to use Kontakt 6 player.
My mac is 10.12 and I alreday update to Kontakt 6 player 6.5.3 and it still work. But I am not sure if East-Asia can run on macOS 10.12?
I so wish this one came with or even instead of Komplete Start as freebies
Update - I've purchased it now (along with the whole Spotlight collection)
It's 'Are hu' (more like the 'ju' in Juan), Gu Jung,
youre so wrong lol
should I buy jade ethnic or this?
I'm a Native Instrument use and some Asian musical instrument player, but the sound reality, I think Jade ethnic has better sound than East Asia.
Where to get the crack?
Russian website
All the samples, the bowed strings and some bamboo flutes are never good, sounds fake, the plucked, percussion instruments are okay, of course, real musicians are much better if you have the budget!
NATIVE INSTRUMENTS is THE WORST VST COMPANY ON THE PLANET. Stay away from NI.
Expect: NO SUPPORT, TONS OF BUGS, ANCIENT TECHNOLOGY, FULL IGNORANCE
I disagree, there is no better value or supported product in the musical world than the komplete series.
Used loads of Native Instruments products and never had a problem.
Need Kontakt tho
