Thanks to Tony, James, Alex, Den, Dom, Jomm, Leigh, Rebecca, Cade, Soy, Tiffany, Red, all my friends, and everyone else I finally was able to meet~ You all made this trip the best experience I could've ever asked for. And I'm still in shock about how many people we met and ran into this trip! I wasn't expecting anyone to want to see us, but signing for more than 2 hours all together and running into so many followers just walking around really put things into perspective.. I'm so happy that people are enjoying the videos we make, and it makes me happy to know people really care about us :) Thank you

I agree 100% as someone with an eating disorder. I'm currently mid-relapse and I already hate when it gets mentioned. I can't imagine what it'd be like to make it through that shit just for people to keep bringing it up.

James is really one of the best people to have as a friend; you could tell even though he was having a good time he was concerned for Jaiden every time she said something that hinted at what she was going through. And so good on her for pushing through and making it out the other end!
Everyone’s talking about the “I just ate” thing but I haven’t seen anyone point out the fact that in her Why I Don’t Have A “Face Reveal” video, she said that she “was wearing a mask” at VidCon and when you look at this video’s thumbnail, sure enough...

I actually cried hearing that... she's so brave for getting through that dark time in her life
as a person who knows how it feels to hide all your true emotions for a long time, I can feel exactly what she's feeling in this video and it hurts to know that everyone thinks your happy and fulfilled when sometimes you want them to look a little deeper but they will never know. For the most part, you are happy with your friends having a great time but it's like you not fully there it's like your on autopilot but you're trying so hard to be yourself but you. at certain times you just want to crawl into a hole and cry (kinda like when Jaiden was eating at restaurants or ordering food) but I can't say for sure that's whats she was feeling but that's the just of it there's way more that's going through a person's head and you can never tell your friends because they already have their lives and problems and you don't want to drag them down with you. It is scary to know that anyone even you can hide their whole life and feelings, so if you ever think somethings off please don't be afraid to look a little deeper.

Ah that's also kinda me. I mean I look happy with my friends (more like sound happy, I have pretty much 0 facial expression), and I guess it's with my more mature friends (we're 13-14, don't expect too much from us) have this as well, we just keep our more depressive thoughts to ourselves. While I don't let people my thoughts, I'm always cold, as I'd like to know the people around me before I let those who I can trust (which is like only a couple of people) know about me, my other friends do show a lot of emotions. We know inside, we're all kinda depressed and stressed, but we don't want people to see it, so we just act like rowdy teens.
If you’ve watched the face reveal video, you can tell her voice. The time she was like “I already ate.” And when she said “you deserve it more than me.” Really tore me into shreds, when you realize what she was going through at that time. And the thumbnail. Just realizing it makes me torn..I love you Jaiden. 💖❤️

The first time I watched this, I had to idea (or forgot) about her anorexia.
I'm here, a year later, just watched her face reveal video (not the first time), and came to this.
It makes me feel so bad, how she was in such a depressive state, and her friends were all visibly concerned.
All the little signs, like "No, that's for you, I already ate," and, "You deserve it more than I do", really break me.

Shawn H. Basically starvation. It’s an eating disorder. I can’t explain it entirely because I don’t know. But jaiden made a video about it
Shawn H. Watch her video titled ‘Why I don’t have a face reveal’ (or something like that). She mentions how at this VidCon she was being fake and hiding the fact that she was starving herself. When she said ‘that’s for you guys I already ate’ she was lying. She talked about how depressed she was at the time this was filmed and how she didn’t want to disappoint her fans by not coming or being miserable. After this VidCon she asked someone who she took a video and photos with to let her blur out her face because she didn’t want people to see the mask she was wearing. The person agreed but later changed their mind and posted the video showing her face. Shortly after that she started having really dark thoughts, and she didn’t tell anyone because she didn’t want to hurt them.

Looking at this video and comparing it to now, you can tell Jaiden is trying to be enthusiastic here but there isn't a whole lot of emotion behind her voice at times, like she's just going through the motions. I'm happy she's doing better now.
Like she said in her face reveal, (I know that this isn’t exactly what she said) “several months seemed to blur together and all I focused on was what I ate, and how many calories I was consuming”
This really hits me cause no one tends to know whenever I've masked my pain. You sound anxious, to me, without context. But if I didn't know what you were dealing with, I'd worry about it for maybe 30-120 long seconds, then shrug it off.
Just thank you for your vulnerability, and expression. It really inspires the kid who tried his darnedest to appear okay say, "I'm not okay."

Something about 20 year olds before 2017 finding other ways to joke around besides being on their phones or something is so comforting. I saw this when I was nine. I thought Jaiden was actually happy, but she’s just pretending. I’m eleven now and I feel awful to see Jaiden pretending to be happy. I can see that Jaiden is much more happier now! And not pretending to be happy. I will support Jaiden no matter what! :)

I’d say that the part I’m most chilled by is the fact that she hides her anxiety, fear, sadness, and pain so damn well. I remember having my own bout of extreme anxiety, not anorexia but school related, and even in that whirlwind of emotion I knew when to stop and express myself. I’m horrified and saddened at how much anxiety Jaiden must have been feeling as of that time to the point where all of her ability to express her emotions essentially shut off. I have had a similar experience after my own bout of anxiety-in fact, me and my friends have a running joke that I’m the one dude in that meme who doesn’t cry during Titanic-so it makes me genuinely fucking terrified to think just how much anxiety you would have to feel to genuinely be able to seal in all your emotions during the trauma. I’m glad she’s recovered, and I will forever support her videos.

NoobOf2020 yes, that’s is 2 months before VidCon. So I read somewhere that in order to become fully vegan you have to have a certain set before becoming vegan, and that can take 3-5 months. But whatever idk
