Now that you reacted to this you should try the so called "Denver Debacle" (although some might call it Denver Miracle) show with Nightwish where Anette got I'll when Kamelot where playing and Elize and Alissa had to step in, with the lyrics on printouts to keep the show going. It's a remarkable performance when you keep in mind they had litteraly no preparations at all. This was just before Anette was let go (I think she did one show before they called in Floor for the rest of the tour.
Evan Meadow There is! Just search up Nightwish Denver Debacle the footage is a bit shaky but it exists and theres also a seperate concert at the end of the tour where they both joined Floor onstage which would be an epic finale in the reaction video 👌🏻
Finally! Now Liar Liar bro, please! Also check out "The Denver Debacle", the night that Nightwish perform without Annette and replaced her with this two beautiful ladies! A must see!
I've seen Kamelot... 4 times I think. Once with Roy the rest with Tommy. Both great singers, no question. But Tommy's showmanship and crowd interaction definitely kicks things up a notch
Fun fact: It was Elize and Alissa who performed for Nightwish when Annette had to go to the hospital, in 2012, and had to miss the Denver concert. And this song? Bro...it almost seemed like this song was about questioning your own actions, and needing absolution. In other words, asking, "Did I do the right thing?" And Elize, who is the white angel, giving absolution you did -- all the while, the black angel, Alissa, attempts to condemn you for what you did. Bro -- this song fits the theme of another song: Truth Beneath the Rose, by Within Temptation. I HIGHLY recommend the live Black Symphony concert from 2008. Check it out!
It was extremely unprofessional of Nightwish to send in Alissa and Elize instead....especially since Elize is, to put it nicely, not the most reliable singer in the world. Don't EVER make her off-key fails into a drinking game. You will need a doctor.
@@Raztiana what exactly was unprofessional? Things happen, people get sick - what were they supposed to do when Anette was taken to the hospital and people were already at the Ogden Theatre? The only alternative was to cancel the concert. They gave the audience a choice and the audience chose a concert with Elize and Alissa. The girls did a great job, considering they had such a short time to prepare.
@@neatka7324, they should have canceled the concert. I love Nightwish, but the guys made the wrong choice that night. Luckily, I wasn't there, so it wasn't my problem.
I remember a Kamelot show in 2013, I was standig front row and Elize was on her knees at the growl part (Alissa was not on this tour) - she took my hand and growled me straight into my face...that was unexpecting :D
Omg that video brings memories from the last time I saw them in concert. It looked just like that..... and I was up front. Have seen them..... I think three times in concert now. Two of those times I got to be in the front of the crowd. It was amazing. The second concert I saw of them, Tommy Karevik sang with Delain's lead singer Charlotte Wessels for this song. The third concert I went to he sang with Battle Beast's lead singer Noora Louhimo.
You can't go wrong with a song featuring Elize or Alissa. You know what else you can't go wrong with? Sabaton. Look up their song The Lion From The North.
Have you seen the live video of Nightwish's Last Ride Of The Day singing with Kamelot vocalists all of them together? Floor, Marco, Elize, Alissa... Is funny!
The Keyboardist, Oliver Palotai, is married to none other than Simone Simmons from another of your favorite bands, EPICA, who not coincidentally took their band name from Kamelot's seminal album titled EPICA. Nice, tightly woven circle of heavy metal majesty here.
I think you haven't checked out Avantasia yet. They're a symphonic supergroup and most of their albums are written as "plays" in which every singer is a different character. On the live version of book of shallows they have something you'd like...
That was really cool man, speaking Kamelot , not sure if you have ever done a reaction to a previous little epic by their last lead singer (Roy Khan), the song is Elizabeth (live from Oslo, Norway) ! Certainly worth checking out ...
Want more metal and symphony/orchestra? Check out Kamelot - My Confession featuring Eklipse (an all female string quartet) On the Blu Ray from this concert, coming out in August I think?, they are performing it live... hopefully Kamelot will release that as an official vid (My Confession is one of my favorites)...if you don't want to wait, or watch the official video, user Disaster Doll posted a pretty good live video from a concert in Baltimore 2013. Also, Lauren Hart of Once Human did guest vocals for Kamelot's Shadow Theory, there latest album: check out Phantom Divine and Mindfall Remedy.
Hey Mr R&R - please please PLEASE give Battle Beast a listen. Noora's vocals will absolutely blow your socks off!! That's BATTLE BEAST for the hard of hearing ;) (FYI Beast In Black are a spin off from them...)
Definitely check out Liar Liar like everyone's saying, but you NEED to hear Under Grey Skies as well. It's a beautiful duet between Tommy and Charlotte from Delain.
You should check out the original music video for this song as well as their song "Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy)" as it features Alissa again. Also, Unleash the Archers just dropped their new single "Abyss" like 10 minutes ago.
Why not reacting to any Sabaton's "The Great Saturday" videos you want ? Each Saturday they release a live footage from "The Great Tour - 2020 leg", there are already plenty of them available on their UA-cam channel !
This band is one of the best live shows you'll ever see. I saw them open for Nightwish. It was Floor's second show with them and she didn't know all the lyrics yet. So I got to see Kamelot with Alissa and Elize followed by Nightwish with Floor, Elize, and Alissa all singing Nightwish songs. There's a video from that show you should check out. It's nightwish from the House of Blues in Orlando and the song is Last Ride Of The Day. I was there. It was amazing. React to it.
So, the keyboard and the guitar kind of had a tug-of-war or a rivalry of one-upmanship in that song. Have you ever heard a guitar and a saxophone do that? I have something in mind for you! Candy Dulfer is a saxophonist extraordinaire and she helped guitarist Dave Stewart with an instrumental piece in the late eighties (Candy was only seventeen years old in that music video), called Lily Was Here. Watch it, I think you MIGHT like it. They also did a live version of it again something like twenty years later, I think. THE BAD PART IS, I cannot find any channels for either of the original artists, which SUCKS! What I found was that there are SEVERAL UA-cam channels who have recorded that same live performance (or everybody is going around ripping each other off, all without paying Candy or Dave, so you most likely should not film a reaction video of the performance). BUT it is WILD performance and a must-see for your own amusement. I WISH you could use some of it for a reaction video but the original artists will not get any kind of credit or payment for it if it is not one of their videos on their own channels (I most likely don't have to tell you how UA-cam works or about copyright laws). I really hate pirate channels myself but it is a truly GREAT piece of instrumental music, almost worth the hassle! :)
Check out Tommy Karevik's other band, Seventh Wonder. It's easy to see why Tommy was such an excellent replacement for Roy Khan after his unfortunate burnout years ago.
How to make a puddle of Mr Rock N Roll...... Oliver and Simone.... Tommy and Kobra..... Hannes and Floor.... Awesome! Check out Kobra and The Lotus "You Dont Know" !!!!!..... Kamelot "Under Grey Skies" with Charlotte from Delain (and Troy from Nightwish!).. Kamelot "Mindfall" with Sascha Paeth and Lauren Hart!
