    I've never actually done a bathtub worm farm but long ago I had a laundry tub one.
    So many people throw out their old sinks when renovating so I reused one for worms, old rusty cabinet and all.
    The bucket collecting the leachate just sat under the drain hole inside the cabinet.
    Worked really well.

      Hi Gerry, thanks for sharing that. We really do have so many options to house worms, love the sink concept!😀

    Thank you so much for dedicating one of your excellent vids to bathtub worm farms after I had asked you a question, much appreciated mate ! .... 😎
    I will try your suggestions and see how I go. My worms are very spoilt and it's great to watch them demolish a 1/2 a watermelon in a week ! Hungry little buggers 😁

    As I've got no garden I thought about using that design for GUERILLA COMPOSTING ... so this thing gotta work without any container and probably I could use twigs, grass or hay for the shade and set this up among the trees in a very shady place along the creek ... maybe it will catch me some worms

    • @martysgarden
      @martysgarden  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, it works very well, best to have compost worms to get started though. Maybe consider joining a community garden if you want to garden, they are fun. I am working on getting worms into community gardens as it's a great way to spread the word.😀

      Gravel in the bottom covered with a shade cloth or landscape fabric does the job😀

      They need to be able to crawl back up,,maybe the water is pooling also as the tap isnt draining. I highly recommend you do my course in the Worm Wranglers members area level 3 Starting A Worm Farm A beginners Guide.
