Worms like to have space and this type of farm has plenty of it and will create a ton of castings for you also.
There is a bit to making one of these work, so watch the video and then let me know your thoughts below.
Maybe you have a question or something to share? I look forward to hearing from you.

I've never actually done a bathtub worm farm but long ago I had a laundry tub one.
So many people throw out their old sinks when renovating so I reused one for worms, old rusty cabinet and all.
The bucket collecting the leachate just sat under the drain hole inside the cabinet.
Worked really well.
Hi Gerry, thanks for sharing that. We really do have so many options to house worms, love the sink concept!😀
Thank you so much for dedicating one of your excellent vids to bathtub worm farms after I had asked you a question, much appreciated mate ! .... 😎
I will try your suggestions and see how I go. My worms are very spoilt and it's great to watch them demolish a 1/2 a watermelon in a week ! Hungry little buggers 😁
Hi Noel, your welcome my friend. Thanks for taking the time to watch my latest vlogs and comment below!
All the best to you and the family
Marty

There to complement my IBC wicking beds and raised veggie beds
Nice work Mark, awesome!
No bath tub farm here but I've heard of them. What a heck of a concept! Thanks for sharing.
No worries LP,,so many ways to house compost worms that's for sure!
Thats so cool ,I get what your saying give them different types of areas🥰👍
Yes, we can take advantage of them wanting to move "migrate" they naturally want to find new grounds😀
Awesome tips my friend! As always great information to help the community 😊
Thanks Little Bean 😀
Cheers Marty. Great video, as always.
Thanks very much Shramo 😀

@@martysgarden Thanks, Marty! I was thrilled to see the "Join" box next to your subscribe button!
As I've got no garden I thought about using that design for GUERILLA COMPOSTING ... so this thing gotta work without any container and probably I could use twigs, grass or hay for the shade and set this up among the trees in a very shady place along the creek ... maybe it will catch me some worms
Yes, it works very well, best to have compost worms to get started though. Maybe consider joining a community garden if you want to garden, they are fun. I am working on getting worms into community gardens as it's a great way to spread the word.😀
Hi Marty considered the bathtub but didn’t go with it, at the community centre where I volunteer we have raised some money and also got some funding so we have purchased 3 Subpods to go with our 6 worm cafe’s so I will let you know how the go once they are up and running cheers..
Wow, the sub pod. I have been thinking about reaching out to those guys. Looking forward to hearing how it goes!😀
We had one many years ago😊
Cool, Did you like it and would you make another one? 😀
This helped heaps i just got a cast iron bath tub but i don't have anything for drainage would pot trays work with holes in them for air flow any ideas
Gravel in the bottom covered with a shade cloth or landscape fabric does the job😀
Are you, or have you ever used a bathtub worm farm?
You have inspired me. I can do it!
My worms go to the bottom of the tube and die I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
They need to be able to crawl back up,,maybe the water is pooling also as the tap isnt draining. I highly recommend you do my course in the Worm Wranglers members area level 3 Starting A Worm Farm A beginners Guide. You will then never have another issue ua-cam.com/channels/nPkv-JUX4Pqn_LYbykzAtw.htmljoin. all the best Marty 😀
Don’t use store brought medium!
explain please
@@martysgarden I tried using potting soil and it doesn’t retain moisture like I hoped. Think it was further along in its breaking down phase that the warms would be chowing down! Nope! 🥴
