  • 🐣It was a fabulous Winters afternoon when I went to visit Steve and check out how he went about setting up his bathtub worm farm.
A big thanks to Steve for accepting my invitation to visit his place and making this video.
Steve will continue to feed his worms using predominantly kitchen waste.
I’ll check back in on Steve’s worm progress and see how much the worm population has increased.
I also need to apologise for the audio in this video. Steve’s mic worked a treat as you can hear but I had the wrong adaptor on my mic and my audio was unusable so all I had to work with was what was picked up on Steve’s mic.
Also if you have any advice or suggestions for a couple of worm farm novices then, by all means, leave us a comment below.🐣🐣

Hey, the farm looks good. I had a similar one but with stones for the drainage. Love the *cough* plastic crates idea.
And to clarify the worms are assorted :) I bought them locally as a mix (including red wrigglers) and they’ve been used in various bins and garden beds over about 6 years with fair success. Hopefully they love they’re new home :)

What did you put over the plughole? Did you add a mess cover? Would be cool to see how you made the base

HI Melita, at about the 4:28 mark you'll see where Steve covered the plughole with one of the cut up milk crates.

great video. I live in the northeast US. do you think it will be to cold in the winter to use this setup outside? it get's below zero here. I have access to a tub, trampoline and blocks so if it's ok I'm ready to go. thank you.

Hi Jack and thanks but I don’t think you’d get your worms through winter. I have seen videos where people bring their worm farms inside out of the cold to help them survive.
Maybe seek out a local community garden for more localised information.
Sorry I couldn’t help more but best of luck with your worm farm.
      Cheers
      Stewart.

It's obvious that you have no clue of what you're doing. You really need to get more advice from real worm farmers.
