Found a pile of rocks in my usual testing parking lot, and it looked like the perfect ramp. So, I took out the Bison Extreme, which I'm testing for review soon, and had some fun jumping it. :)
Enjoy!

At Least Your Having Fun Ryan, That's what the Hobby Is All About
Heck yeah! So much fun. :D
Cool video! Great to see you doing something different to reviews although they are good too. looks so fun!
Thanks! :)
yeah i understand, and I've heard really good things about that! can't wait to see some videos of the arrma!
AWESOME, loved the vid, these types of vids a pretty nice once a while :)
Thanks! :)
Cool to See Running Videos from you!! You Drive Pretty good!! Ryan isn't just Flyin'.......
he's Jumping Too!! LOL
Haha thanks! :D
I got a RC truck in trade for a quadcopter, now I spend more time bashing than I do flying the quads, lot of fun.
I enjoy both, but when winter comes, flying weather becomes rare, so I tend to do more ground vehicles at that time. :)
Great jump hill nice find👍
Thanks! Hopefully they never fix that lot, and the hill stays forever. lol
Awesome truck!! Your were getting the hang of it. Maybe not the best landing surface for training, but you pulled off some sweet landings. Cant wait to see you get this out for some good all terrain runs.
This thing is such a blast! Really enjoying it. :)
Way to live up to the name "Flyin'" hahahaha, nice driving :)
+Toysoldier (toysoldier46552) Thanks! :)
Nice jumps Ryan, plus an epic cartwheel for a cherry on top!
Next run through that mud to the side?
+Steve RC Thanks! :) And, are you talking about that area where it looks like they're tearing up the parking lot? I think this Bison may be too fast and low ground clearance for that sort of terrain. I plan on taking my Traxxas Stampede for some jumps though, and it would do quite well on that surface, so I'll try a spin through there before the jumping. :)
super cool gloves you're wearing Ryan ! :)
Haha thanks! :)
Good job Ryan, waiting for my Bison & a hill like that to arrive :) I think the higher/longer the jump the easier to control the landing
Yeah, a longer jump would give more time to react, but could also mean more likelihood of damage should you mess it up. I was taking it pretty easy, considering it's my first time, and I still haven't completed my review. But, once I finish my review, as long as this rock pile is still there, I will go back and hit it much harder the next time. :)
nice one Ryan
Thanks! :)
Your welcome I love videos I'm a big rc hobby fan
cool jumps!
Thanks! :)
Flyin' Ryan RC You are welcome!
Nice run Ryan. It's really fun to jump these things. I would say it gets easier...but what happens is you just go bigger and break more stuff. LOL
CCxRC
I call that trend "hobbies"😁
lol! I love it
Well unless you're running Redcat Racing, they break on flat grass, trust me I know will never buy another one.
Toysoldier haha! I have one of these Bison and it can take a beating. Never have run or seen a Redcat in person.
CCxRC Trust me, you haven't missed a single thing with Redcat, I wanted to try a nitro vehicle and opted for a cheap option, while the motor is great, the rest of the vehicle sucks and I decided I am more of a battery guy making it worth the low price just to test if I was going to like it or not.
With a little practice, you might get to land in the really deep mud :)
Keep watching that slope. If they don't use it all at once you might actually get longer jumps ;)
I think I heard that Dustin was trying to lay claim to that rubble (Dun)Hill !!!
Well I gotta say I know why you chose the monicker Flyin' Ryan ... if it moves it gotta fly , even if it's a land craft LOL ... Great video mate , thumbs up :-)
+Tim Robinson LOL! Well Dustin's gonna have to travel a long way from Hawaii if he wants to claim this hill! Haha yeah, I love my flying! Hopefully after I finish the review this hill will still be there, and I can go for even bigger air. :D
nice vid Ry guy
Thanks! :)
They did Ryan they made that hill for you cos your famous lol
LOL :)~
I have an ECX Ruckus with a brushless kit in it it is a beast
Yeah, that's a nice truck!
yeah man it's what we would all want to do with that thing!
It's like the RC gods came and plopped that pile of rocks down just for me. lol
When I was at a rc outdoor race track I saw a buggy over shoot the burm from a long straight away, shoot up about 30ft and came down right through a back window of a parked chevy cavalier lol. I was thinking about that when I'm looking the van near bye.
Haha! And that van belongs to my landlord's business, so that would've been a double-whammy if I hit it. :)~
all looks like fun cool video Ryan I went to the purchase link did you see the hill they were jumping they were jumping a BMX bike hill doing flips it was crazy
No, I'll have to go check that out!
Very cool
Thanks! :)
nice! only one way to learn! bash bash bash! :-)
Yep! Just gotta get that muscle memory down. :)
That moment it was acting weird was just a rock on the axle.
Yeah, must've been.
Flyinfvsgff
nice JOB
Thanks! :)
i already am a big fan, but i would definitely like this channel a lot more if you started to do more high end reviews. i don't mean 1/5th and 1/8th scale reviews (unless you want to) but just regular 1/10 scale ground RCs. Having 2 tlr racers, 4 traxxas bashers and a couple other branded RCs (all brushless) the toy and kidish RCs get a little on the not so intresting side. More reviews on this kind of RC like the one featured in the video would be more intresting to me. Just my thoughts, keep up the awesome reviews!
+Kyle Vonasek I'm not made of money though. I simply can't afford those types of models, and they aren't often provided by sponsors. I try to review stuff for everyone, but ultimately the point of my channel is to help beginners and entry-level people, and to review the lower end models that really need reviews to let people know which are the good ones or not. There's little point in reviewing, say, a bunch of Traxxas vehicles and basically saying over and over again "yep, this is another pretty good one from Traxxas!" LOL You know what I mean? That all being said, I did just splurge and bought myself the ARRMA Outcast 6S! :)
very nice video like
5:47 that my drone just pass xD
Haha! :)~
nice
I didn't get a chance to see your unboxing/review...can i get a link? also how is this truck? waterproof?
Driving RC Just read the description. Doesn't seem like he's done a review of it yet :-)
As Meteor Shower said, I haven't done my full review yet. I still need to film the table top review. It is an awesome truggy though, and yes it's waterproof. Brushless and 4WD too, with LEDs for headlights and taillights. This thing has it all. :)
Would this bash well in light dry snow, like not more than a inch of snow?
I don't see why not. A monster truck may be better though, since it has more ground clearance. I certainly plan to do a snow running video with this when the snow comes though. :)
I didn't know no experience with any kind of RC truck or car just quads.
have you tried out the E-revo brushless? probably my favorite (and only) rc car. a bit expensive when I bought it (like 5 years ago), but seems to work well. I haven't technically used it in a year or so, and I assume the NiMHs are dead.
No, but I've heard great things about it! This Bison is essentially in the same class of cars, just not as expensive since it doesn't have the Traxxas brand associated with it. haha
the bison seems to perform prety well, is it a 4wd?
Joseph S Yep, 4WD, waterproof, brushless, and has LED headlights and taillights. This thing is feature packed! :)
my e-revo 1/16 was more expensive than this, and still includes less features... I might have been just a little bias when buying it... just a little.
how do u rate this truck comparing to other similar truck you have?
It's awesome! I love this thing. It's fast, stable, and seems quite durable. I will have my full review done soon, once I manage to get a free weekend, and am not sick. heh
Flyin' Ryan RC thanks. so u hav been sick past 3 months. gw soon
balls to the wall or close ur legs, next time buddy. nice first jumps. left click num83r 45. keep em coming
I'll go more hardcore with it after I finish my review, assuming the rock pile is still there. I also just bought the ARRMA Outcast 6S, which is a total beast... gonna have to give that a go on this pile too. :)
the only way to learn to jump like a pro is break ur stuff. i use to b careful but i really started having fun is pushing it to the limits. i so wish i hadnt wasted my money on the savage flux cause my buddy just got the outcast and u wont b disappointed. arrma has really given traxxas hpi etc. a run for their money. my next is gonna b arrma. keep em coming buddy and just bc i dont leave a comment im still watching and always a thumbs up 4 u dude. rock on bro
4thGloryMonday I'll go nuts with this Bison once I finish my review. It was sent to me for free, so I have nothing to lose! haha I bought the Outcast, so I'll probably baby it at first. I really want it for the snow, which is the main reason I bought it. But I'm sure I'll go hard with it next spring. :)
Nice purchase on the Arrma. I'm really impressed with the Nero as well. Solid as fast as hell!
Hey Flyin' Ryan,
I was wondering if you could review the JJRC H37 "Elfie" or a similar quadcopter. It's a new foldable drone that would be neat to see you fly and get your opinion on it.
Thanks a lot!
Yep, I am being sent the Eachine version of that. :) I also have a review upcoming of the ZeroTech Dobby, which is a "Selfie Drone" with brushless motors and GPS.
Cool, I just noticed that Eachine has their model of the drone out. Very excited to watch the video!
will you do a review on the eachine wizard pls
Not likely. Racing quads aren't really my thing, and I just don't have a good way to show them off on video. :(
Hi,
Did Gearbest sponsor this video?
They sent me this car to review, yes, but I wouldn't say they sponsored this video.
it would be pretty cool if tou could test a fast rc car at a skatepark
I have literally never seen a skatepark in real life. lol I don't even know if there is one around here.
there is an interesting new 1/12 car
hbx 12891 from banggood it would be great if u reviewed ....its like 80 bucks ...not much info on that one
Ah, and it comes in green! :D I'll consider it. With winter approaching, I do need some good waterproof land vehicles to run in the snow. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC great !! Ryan u re the best thanks as I said before on one of your vids ure the reason I started me rc hobby adventure...had a heart valve replacement surgery year ago and this hobby gets my mind of things and gets me outside:-)
david teddy Comments like that are what really inspires me to keep going. I'm so glad my videos, and this hobby, have been able to do that for you, :)
Could you do a detailed review on VRC Pro? :D
The simulator? No can do... mainly because I have a Mac, and that's only available on PC. :/
Well... That MACkes it hard for you to do it... :D Thanks for the fast response!
Nice pun. :)~
was the camere acting weird because of the partical effect
This is my first video with the new Mobius 2, which is 1080P 60FPS. The video looks fine out of the camera, but for some reason the conversion to UA-cam's format added a bunch of artifacting. Not happy about that at all. :( But, I do like the camera and video quality otherwise. I think it must be the 60FPS that caused YT to mess up. :/
yeah there is a thing with particals in youtube that makes any video blurry if it has to many particals like confetti or like the rocks on that jump. there are some video's on youtube explaining it like: 'Why Snow and Confetti Ruin UA-cam Video Quality'
Interesting. I've filmed many other videos in this same lot though, and none of those had the same effect. It must be a combination of the rocks and 60FPS. The conversion must just not be able to handle that many little details with that many frames per second.
Just looking at the video I thought there was some kind of issue with the camera FOV. Kinda has a fishbowl or fisheye effect to it at times. Sound seems more muffled too.
ACE1252 Yes, it is a wide-angle lens, so it has some fisheye to it.
a little bit more practice and you're perfect... sometimes gravel and small stones just blocking the steering or the suspension... not a big deal..! ;-)
Yeah, once I finish my review, I'm gonna go out for more jumping, and go bigger. :)
I know this is your first attempt at jumping a rc car. Have you thought of making a homemade ramp?
No, because I don't have anywhere to store something like that. I like to make use of things I can naturally find around the neighborhood. :)
Oh okay.
That truck looks like a traxxas mini e-revo knock-off
Not a "knock-off". It is just a truggy, like the E-Revo. There are many truggies on the market.
I'm Swiss
Cool. :) I'm American.
Cool im British lol
+Craig Hancock Nice cheese pun! I would try to do cheddar than that, but I'm not very gouda puns.
i hate cheese 😖
Please...just don't CUT the cheese! LOL!
your table top review is just gonna have to be bottom-side-up
j/k
Hi I am first comment here!!!
2:04 EPIC FAIL.
Epic Fail on my part, but Epic Win on the car's durability. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC Yes, but the fail wasn't bad. IT WAS EPIC!!! AND YOUR CHANNEL IS EPIC TO!!!
Agnieszka Dynska Thanks! :)
