''Looks classic''.. It looks modern, ''Well equipped''.. It totally has seat heaters, a navigating system, an AWESOME speaker system, cruise control, traction control, an extremely efficient fuel consumption. Yup, you know an awful lot about Bugatti cars, please tell me more.
The representative is as stiff as the chasis. I wonder if he has ever heard a funny joke in his life. He's also quite condncending in his tone towards Jay
PETER MAINWALD TBH I think its Jay Leno who is condesending. He's seem like he has no time for the expert. The german guy, Jens is one of the best automotive enginners in the world with an F1 background yet Jay can't pronounce his name and takes the piss about him.
I didn't get that impression at all with Jay's attitude towards Jens - seemed more relieved to be talking to someone more on his wavelength. The marketing director seemed "bothered" to have to answer any remotely useful question.
19:29 hilarious when Jay tries to turn the key. He's owned or driven just about everything and tries to turn the key? I know he found that funny. It would have been even more funny if he broken it. That would be $45,000 Mr Leno. LOL
Well it was built to be the fastest in the world, not the most convenient... At the cost and speeds this goes, i wouldnt want drinks in my car; to spill and create messes in it or to damage it
How the fuck can anyone compare the Hennessey Venom GT with this? One's a kit car, a stretched Lotus with a Chevy engine and Ford transmission and the other's a hand-built masterpiece.
I don´t think that he couldn´t afford the Bugatti, i think he doesn´t want to buy one, because his collection is so expensive and stuffed with that much cars that cost more than 2 million dollars that he could buy one easily.
I love how Jay is shocked that it's $3 million, while in his garage he has not only a lot of vintage Bugatti's that are worth more, but also a 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC worth AT LEAST $30 million...!
Anyone else notice that he said "three banks of cylinders instead of two".He should have said "four banks of cylinders instead of two".You can't devide 16 cylinders by three.
It's that expensive because they have to align the fiber weave from panel to panel, which is almost impossible to do. Otherwise it would like an 6 year old built it. .
While people like Jay have more money than he will ever spend in his lifetime, just miles away, are people living homeless and would happy just to have a half eaten doughnut they found in the trash. What a world we live in.
Plus, I used to help out at the local food kitchen, but could not handle what goes on behind closed doors. Those running it, keep all the good food that is donated for themselves and drive around in new cars and do not even need it and the scraps are given back to the public, who actually do need it. The pastor who runs our local shelter, is a millionaire, who became one, from leaching off everything and the shelter is run like a sweat camp. They force the people to work for free all day, and the money goes into the pastors pocket and most homeless rather sleep in a tent in the dead of winter, than to go there. They don't help people get back on their feet and you are not even allowed to have your own job and that is a fact. And the same thing happens there, all the good stuff donated, the pastors and their families take and the scraps are given back to the public and it is downright disgusting. Example, I helped bring in food that a wedding party donated, which consisted of huge trays of fried chicken, meatballs, pasta, huge trays of salad, trays of pizza, all kinds of stuff, which would have been a feast for the public that day. But no, the pastors and their families kept it all and only thing they gave back to the public was a small plate of pasta with a few drops of sauce on it. Yah I was told I could have a huge potion for myself to take home, I said no thank you, walked out and never went back.
The car cost $3 Million because it's made in France and it uses the most expensive materials and is all hand made by very well paid Craft Man, if all this was done in china the same car would cost $30,000 dollars, top speed 120 mph if lucky and you run the risk of everything braking apart on the highway surrounded by angry truckers, buy.....
plus its rarity, it is the fastest super car in the world *that is street legal and non track based and that didnt need a extensive or very curvy aero dynamic design or light wieght to reach its record top speed* , highest luxury standards of any of the fastest super cars, its advanced technology, and huge Brand name's reputation. Hahaha So eat that vemon gt and agera R.
I thought the same when he mentioned the 3 banks, but on the other hand... VW has also sold VR5 engines not too long ago, they may as well design a hyper car with 5+6+5 cylinders. :P
I'll never understand people that use "and" in the place of "an". Like, do you think people are saying "and" whenever they say "an"? e.g. if someone said, "I would like an apple", do you think they're saying, "I would like also apple"? Presumably, these are the same people who think you call something "bias" instead of "biased". Anyway, nobody will ever see this comment on an ancient comment string, so I guess I'm just talking to myself; just thought it ironic that someone could be so blatantly stupid while calling someone else an idiot.
I'd love to drive a Bugatti Veyron for it's speed., but I'd never want to own one, cause honestly I think it's hideous. If someone gave me one for free, I'd sell it. Just my opinion though.
That open door chime reminds me of the one in my grandfather's '93 Audi 100 CS. I'm betting that's where the similarity between these two VW group cars ends.
eRa Hyznberg A quick Google shows that one of the main cons of adding sissor\vertical doors is extra weight. Means adding more strength and struts to the door so it can open and stay vertical without falling back down, thus adding more weight, not a lot more, but more. Lamborghini only do it for two reasons, wank-factor and that their cars are already extremely wide to start with.
How are you measuring yours? Here we use an averaging system that is virtually meaningless, but each grade is measured in the same manner so you get a relative idea of what you are getting.
Eric Esquibel Uhm it is not a different measurement system... Generally, in Europe, petrol is leaded and thus the octane level is higher, whilst in the majority of states in the US petrol is unleaded and have a lower octane level. There is no such thing as a metric octane system and an imperial octane system.... Octane is octane.
Yeah... except you're wrong. Most of Europe rates there gas by the RON rating while America uses the AKI rating system (which takes the average of RON and MON.) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating
It won't do donuts. But I'm sure a lot of the people who own these cars do drive them drunk, smoking and high. And occasionally shooting an AK47 out the window.
A while back I saw a guy driving one of these, and, or similar model on the highway in Denver Co in heavy traffic, and I think that it was winter. Salt, rocks, gravel, ice slicer etc etc. A great place for a car like this. He was obviously trying to avoid potential hazards. Kind of funny.

+Kern O'Leary There is a you tube vid on build of the car , It will take you thru detail parts build up. Most all radiators if there a opening for air a radiators is located there.
+Kern O'Leary Most are up front, behind an intake or positioned underneath the car.
People don't buy it because its fast, they buy it because it looks classic but is well equipped and it is expensive.
Then, I would buy the Morgan Aero.
GT500supersnake 2009 You can't afford to take a piss inside the engine, unfortunately.
The german guy, Jens is one of the best automotive enginners in the world with an F1 background yet Jay can't pronounce his name and takes the piss about him.
yeah, he's like a Butler for cars.
+PETER MAINWALD He isnt rude or anything, he's on the job remember.
hes german.
I didn't get that impression at all with Jay's attitude towards Jens - seemed more relieved to be talking to someone more on his wavelength. The marketing director seemed "bothered" to have to answer any remotely useful question.
Jay is a great guy -- very humble. I don't think he is a great comedian but he treats people with kindness and respect and that matters more.
19:29 hilarious when Jay tries to turn the key. He's owned or driven just about everything and tries to turn the key? I know he found that funny. It would have been even more funny if he broken it. That would be $45,000 Mr Leno. LOL
if the key is worth 45 k it better not break with a simple twist
I bet if someone decided to turn off traction control the car might just take flight.
Krishnan Ravichandran yes it will fly and it will fly off a cliff hopefully...
Can't go too far with only 25 gallon gas tank
Krishnan Ravichandran You turn off the traction control and the car rejects you.
$800K more for the Super Sport? I can't even afford a $200K house!
iPad hookup...
It's amazing how quickly these cars age.
3 million and no cup holders..smh
Well it was built to be the fastest in the world, not the most convenient...
At the cost and speeds this goes, i wouldnt want drinks in my car; to spill and create messes in it or to damage it
It is not advised to be distracted by your beverage at 240mph
correction 268mph
John Ryan Lewis hi
John Ryan Lewis correction 269mph
When I hit 115 in my 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, I always wish I had a spoiler to come up.
How the fuck can anyone compare the Hennessey Venom GT with this? One's a kit car, a stretched Lotus with a Chevy engine and Ford transmission and the other's a hand-built masterpiece.
Exactly, but with the biased American muscle douchbags, anything that's not American is shit.
Watching this again 8 years later... oh how times have changed
I find it hard to believe that Jay couldn't afford one of these. he's probably just being modest.
I don´t think that he couldn´t afford the Bugatti, i think he doesn´t want to buy one, because his collection is so expensive and stuffed with that much cars that cost more than 2 million dollars that he could buy one easily.
Lukas Börning agreed.
yeah right..he doesnt want 1..fkn idiots.
He also said "we opened up the front end a little more to draw in more heat".Should be "more air to draw out more heat".
Robert Longo yes I thought it was odd
specifically engineered to be more expensive
The Bugatti Veyron was the automobile’s moon shoot.
I love how Jay is shocked that it's $3 million, while in his garage he has not only a lot of vintage Bugatti's that are worth more, but also a 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC worth AT LEAST $30 million...!
Yes, but those are one off vintage cars that weren't that expensive when new whereas this is a production car and each one costs that much new.
The type 57sc is a rebody not a true 57sc
I'm saving up for a Veyron. So far I've got enough money to buy one of the dust caps.
Tire valve cap?
3 million? I would hate the see the car insurance bill. Then again, if you can afford a car like this..God bless.
What a gorgeous car!!! I’m in love. Corvettes always did it for me. That and the Ferrari 550 Maranello. Just sweet looking cars.
That guy was stiffer than the chassis 😅😂😂😂
Anyone else notice that he said "three banks of cylinders instead of two".He should have said "four banks of cylinders instead of two".You can't devide 16 cylinders by three.
Have a look here and read somethings about THREE banks....: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W_engine
2:30
wait what it costs 300k to NOT put paint on it? wtf
geen naam No it's 300K to have the carbon fiber finish.
It's that expensive because they have to align the fiber weave from panel to panel, which is almost impossible to do. Otherwise it would like an 6 year old built it. .
It's amazing that as fast as this car is that it works in rush hour traffic in Palm Springs in the summer with the a/c on.
While people like Jay have more money than he will ever spend in his lifetime, just miles away, are people living homeless and would happy just to have a half eaten doughnut they found in the trash.
What a world we live in.
Yeah? Why don't you do something about it with your money instead of criticizing others about it?
*****
Everything evil is unavoidable, and we all have choices to make, proving it is unavoidable, if we have choices, correct?
+parodyisms most of those doughnut eaters are watching this video on their Iphones and Galaxy's -- instead of eating.
that sounds he makes at 5:10 actually means "I have no clue what I am about to say "
does jay own any other color shirts?
Yes of course but he wears what is effectively a uniform to present these videos.
RockRocky09 no
Thanks guys...really enjoy the video.....Ultimate car truly.
Cant work on it cant hear engine growl = no interest for Jay Leno I'm guessing.
Leno: "Does it come in denim?"
*Breaking
plus its rarity, it is the fastest super car in the world *that is street legal and non track based and that didnt need a extensive or very curvy aero dynamic design or light wieght to reach its record top speed* , highest luxury standards of any of the fastest super cars, its advanced technology, and huge Brand name's reputation. Hahaha So eat that vemon gt and agera R.
3 million dollars and the brakes squeak pulling into the garage ??? that's hysterical !!!
The most advanced dinosaur.
I'll take a mint '69 dodge charger and pocket 3 million.
Same thinking
VW rocks. Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti and Porsche, there you find qualitiy
And Skoda and Seat.
After seeing this video, now I want one…
Same
Now you can buy a Hennessy Trackhawk at about $120K and it has 1012 bhp plus it will get your kids to school and do offroading
Sounds like a bargain ! 😆🤣
Compared to this Bugatti car
@@Porkchop999 true !!!
21:03 camera man on skateboard. LOL
Dude, you're everywhere.
Rico Suave Wait until I have a million subscribers! :)
Carlyle's Picks Let's do this!
"Well you would see 3 banks of cylinders..."
Oh dear. It would help if 16 divided into 3
I thought the same when he mentioned the 3 banks, but on the other hand... VW has also sold VR5 engines not too long ago, they may as well design a hyper car with 5+6+5 cylinders. :P
He was thinking of a W
Wow! What else is there to say? Outstanding! It reminds me of the Streamline Style Steam Locomotives!
3 million for a car but you get a break squeal at the end wtf
+Rusty Kuntz Carbon brakes squeal like crazy when they're cold.
+Rusty Kuntz oh look, and idiot.
You do know that all ceramic brakes squeal?
Yeah because a car good for >240mph should behave like my moms civic....
Is it bothering anyone else how he's saying "Veyron?" It shouldn't bug me but it is.
Joshua Miller "it shouldn't *bug* me..."
I see what you did there
For three million I don't ever wanna hear my brakes squeak.
Great design, best angle from the rear. The front looks a Little bit dated today. :) Great car.
300 grand to have them NOT paint your car. LOL
I'd love to drive a Bugatti Veyron for it's speed., but I'd never want to own one, cause honestly I think it's hideous. If someone gave me one for free, I'd sell it. Just my opinion though.
Yeah, I mean just look how sealed up the engine bay is. This is a car you can't even think about servicing without custom-made tools.
YESTWENTY WINS Ettore Bugatti made that grill in 1909.
Bugatti's have proudly used hat grill for ages.
Stephen Bagnell Cool man, I don't think that changes how he views it aesthetically :l
Will it do a burnout?
no
Will it blend?
+Chris Trick Good one... love the Blendtec videos. I'm not sure the Blendtec will blend carbon fiber.
No its AWD
there is probably a special key or factory setting that would allow it to do all wheel burnout. 1200 hp would spin tires without traction control.
That open door chime reminds me of the one in my grandfather's '93 Audi 100 CS. I'm betting that's where the similarity between these two VW group cars ends.
all of this technology and they didn't bother to put any gull wing doors on it
lol, ewww
That would have put the weight up.
Kristoph109 No it wouldnt... it's just ugly. How would it put the weight up if the whole car is basically carbon fiber?
Its not ugly you pancreas!
eRa Hyznberg
A quick Google shows that one of the main cons of adding sissor\vertical doors is extra weight. Means adding more strength and struts to the door so it can open and stay vertical without falling back down, thus adding more weight, not a lot more, but more.
Lamborghini only do it for two reasons, wank-factor and that their cars are already extremely wide to start with.
why are octane levels lower in the usa? Here in europe all i ever see is 95 and 98...
How are you measuring yours? Here we use an averaging system that is virtually meaningless, but each grade is measured in the same manner so you get a relative idea of what you are getting.
European 98 octane is equal to American 93 octane, it's just a different measurement system.
Eric Esquibel i see...
Most of Europe rates there gas by the RON rating while America uses the AKI rating system (which takes the average of RON and MON.)
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating
Why does he call the veyron a veyrown?
Very well documented thank you
bugatti is crap
The marketing guy was as boring as a sock.
He is not the right person for this!!
Gerardus Hendriks I totally agree, he is The worst ever reviewer for this dream machine,
canadianroot : Robin Williams (RIP) would have been the perfect sales rep for this car...
Or David Lee Roth.
I'd drive it drunk smoking a cigarette and do non stop donuts
It won't do donuts.
But I'm sure a lot of the people who own these cars do drive them drunk, smoking and high. And occasionally shooting an AK47 out the window.
A while back I saw a guy driving one of these, and, or similar model on the highway in Denver Co in heavy traffic, and I think that it was winter. Salt, rocks, gravel, ice slicer etc etc. A great place for a car like this. He was obviously trying to avoid potential hazards. Kind of funny.
