I take Keppra for TLE. It has worked for major seizures but I still get absences about every 3 weeks. If I take high dose of CBD every day, I can extend the frequency between seizures to around 8 weeks. I wonder if it is the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD that helps?
Thank you for this i have epilepsy and I'm also Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome n have angiodema and always wondered bout this with my epilepsy been having epilepsy since I was born. And of course Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is also when you're born. And I went through so many gi surgeries
@TorieRobinson for some but you know not alot of doctors understand eds yet so it's a process. I appreciate what you're doing and want any more information on eds I'd be more then happy to share. Lol I have lots of stories 😅

So glad you liked this one Jason! It’s an eye opener re epilepsy occurring as the result of lupus, Crohn's and Coeliac’s, right?!

Interesting line of investigation. Thanks. Could you tell us which auto immune diseases are generally noted with seizures and auras?
No worries. We don’t have a list but Lucas does mention a few in this episode. Also, just so you know, auras are also seizures!
Thank-you both. What an intriguing discussion.

Great video. It sounds like inflammation (especially in the brain) lowers the seizure threshold.
