I feel like I just took a trip in a time machine. Does LOREX think it's 1998? Exporting a saved clip should be far easier than this. I'm floored that you can't simply share a saved clip from within the LOREX Home app on your phone with one tap. I hated the fees that I had with my old Nest camera system, but their software is lightyears better than this! Ugh.

Nice! Thank you for not using any obnoxious repetitive canned background music. You might want to move your ceiling fan, though.

The UI is so not intuitive or easy to use. I have motion lights and it keeps stopping for the pre-roll, stops for motion sense, and finally stops again when the flood lights come on. Then it misses the important parts of what happens. Totally stupid. Lorax should have continuous recording just like the old Sony VCRs did back in the day with a damn jog wheel so you can quickly find the spot you want then hit EXPORT!!!!!! EXPORT!!! Not backup. Why the hell would you call it "back up".. Nonsense.

Yes i agree, Lorex is setup for more of a professional setting than a common consumer setting.

Thank you for your help! We don't often have to go back and save clips from our security cameras so having to navigate through the Lorex system is such a non intuitive and janky experience. very very frustrating! I just spent 1.25 hours trying to save a stupid clip. From the playback window where you can supposedly "cut" and "save" a clip you get now feedback as to whether your your clip was saved or where it went. I had to follow your instructions to then find the clip ( multiple clips since I had now idea i saved more than one.) It's a shame Lorex can't make this easier and provide options to the Ring cameras and what not. I know my DVR is like 1-2 years old (D871A) but dang this was a pain! Thank you again!

Open the MP4 on your Mac with Preview instead of QuickTime

Wow. Right back to where I was 2 years ago. It still doesn't work. VLC Player won't play any of these files. MPC Player wont play any of these files. Windows Media Player wont play any of these files. Windows Movie Maker wont play any of these files. Lorex sucks!

it is likely your cameras do not capture audio, the ones shown here do not have a built in microphone

9:22 you have that dreaded (my term) video codec 264, produced by dvr(s) which almost no program will open / play. "Interface"? Horrific. Knockoff Amcrest dvr uses a worse counterfeit of that Lorex interface... As long time user of various dvr(s), I think dvr systems are on way out. Wlifi and internet systems available today, no dvr needed.
