Just had my property buglarized and the police told me to send them a thumbdrive of the video. I had my system for 3 years and never needed to do it. Thanks! It helped alot!
Thanks so much my friend. I have been dreading 😫 😩 😕 trying to figure out how to download video from my cctv and you really made the case for how easy it is two search and download video. Thanks again, Jerry
Appreciate this video as the system is as horrible as the UI and app. Backing up CCTV footage is equally as important as recording it and Yale have made it an absolute mission to extract useful data
Will my recordings erase from camera after saving to flash drive? Also my camera only gives me choice of mp4 & H26X. I have a Mac book pro, which of those should I use? Thank you for sharing.
Great stuff. Just wondering if when I'm watching what I recorded from USB drive on computer, can I have channel 1 and channel 2 both playing. Cause on my laptop I can have all cameras but I am having trouble watching the two I recorded.
you can use the player and play the channel 1 and channel 2 if you need to place the video from USB drive on computer drive.google.com/file/d/0B13WbVEymSKccUdlaTRHNFgwYmM/view?usp=sharing&resourcekey=0-_xRyskN2LTcnn_qtnBb2-w
One more question Can I watch what I recorded on my p.c. in time not per channel. If you don't understand I can take a picture of what I'm talking about.
Hi! Great upload! Was wondering about your video specs once you copied them over to your USB Stick. Was the bitrate reduced a bit (to squeeze thru a USB port) or the video dimension size changed? To play some video on a *Pioneer* *Car* *Stereo,* with a USB stick, I sometimes have to keep the videos no bigger than 640 x 480 and use a working bitrate less than 1 mbps.
the system will back up the orignal size video to the USB stick. If your the videos no bigger than 640 x 480, I guess your camera records the videos no bigger than 640 x 480
I bought a scandisc to record from my CCTV plugged it in nothing happens I have HIK CCTV do I need to purchase a external haed drive to tramsfer images?

Before you plug the external HDD to the DVR, can you sure the DVR pre-instaleld an internal hard drive for recording? Most DVRs will detect the external HDD and USB stick. If your DVR doesn't, we guess you may need another external HDD or USB stick.

I have a 1TB blank memory stick in my Sannce Video recording USB port for back up. When I click 'Back Up' it states I have 0Kb/976GB on my memory stick yet it's blank? I then get a message "Are you sure to format the selected device with left capacity 0?" I then select "O.K". Then another message appears "Erase Failed". So I cannot back up my recordings. I have tried 2 blank memory sticks and the same messages keeps appearing. Any ideas why?
@@SanscoDirect thank you for responding. So I connected the usb in the back but I can’t find the usb on the cameras and I really need the footage or else it’s going to erase in a few more days

you may check the DVR setting and see if you enable the auto reboot at a certain time. Go to the main menu>advanced>auto maintaince, you will see the auto reboot.
These Hikvision NVRs are so hard to learn and extract a video footage without having to lose a lot of hair. WTF are they so hard for? Even Dahua is rubbish.

you can connect the USB stick into the DVR USB port and following the instruction to back the record.

Does this method also work for transfering videofiles from HDD DVD recorders to a USB stick?
yes, you can transfer the video from THE DVR recorder to a USB stick, then play the records on a computer

Why didn't you just use the edit button on the bottom of the screen with the scissors on it , start then stop then back up.
it is earlier to use the USB mouse to click the button on the scrreen.
The usb won’t show
