What's crazy to me is how faithful the whole thing looks. Like, they didn't try to turn it into a different game or modernize it, it's mostly just a visual upgrade. I'm most excited to hear the updated soundtrack, as it's one of my favorite video game scores ever made. Definitely one of Yoko Shimomura's best works.

It will appear as it seems Square Enix are involved. It has the Square Enix trademark and everything
@@BIastProcX square would have to be involved as I believe they still own the rights to the original game, or at least several characters in it.
@@3eve0n There are rumours that Nintendo wants to buy the rights for those characters back, who knows if they can suceed at doing it.
My personal guess is that they might be replaced by a more "modern" appearance.
I can already hear the drums of a certain theme.
It has to be Culex in HD2D the same way the Mario cast was in pre rendered sprites in the original contrasted with Culex’s 2D Sprite

The remake of Super Mario RPG was the best surprise a cynical 39 year-old could have hoped for. So happy to see Mallow and Geno come back to life! Now all I need is King K Rool to return as Donkey Kong's nemesis in future games. :)

Why do you randomly capitalize certain words? Like "Shock" and "Finally Back" and "Excited". That isn't how capitalization works. Those words aren't proper nouns.

You should probably do a "History of Super Mario RPG" documentary-styled video going over the history of the game, the cult following it surrounded it, the aftermath, Geno in Smash, and the rumors that lead to this remake. Damn what a reveal.
We may not have gotten Geno in Ultimate but I feel like this is better probably.
A lot of people, myself included will finally be able to play this game. It was always odd it was missing from SNES Online. Now we know why!
It looks beautiful. So unique, creative and cute.
What I love is that, even knowing about the leak, PapaGenos still looked shocked upon first seeing the trailer, then looks like he’s about to cry upon seeing Geno himself! 😆

Throughout nearly all of SSBU’s fighter speculation I checked on this channel nearly every day. The number one thing on my mind the whole time was Geno’s return. Maybe he didn’t get into Smash as a playable fighter, but we got something even better. Congratulations!!!

Looks to be a faithful remake. They did change Toadstool to Peach. I wonder if there will be other changes. My hope is this leads to a sequel.
I admit the artstyle isn't quite what I would've hoped for but Mallow and Geno look fucking GOOD! Their designs hold up so well, and we're getting actual CUTSCENES, at least! And some kind of special meter? Cannot WAIT for this, my inner child is flipping out.

I cried. I heard the music, I saw the original intro, and then I saw the intro change. All the nostalgia just swept over me! Just from the trailer, I can see that they kept the spirit of the game. I am so incredibly excited to play this remaster!

Bomberman is getting a sequel, Geno lives again and even Rayman being in Sparks of Hope and getting more attention now.

Hahaha my first reaction when I saw this this was thinking about you and how you would react! He's not in smash but at least it's something! Couldn't be happier for you man! Was always hanging here, wondering what the next smash leaks and reveals were gonna be. Funny how life goes in phases. When I started here I was in my mid-late twenties, now when everything is said and done, I'm in my early thirties. Not saying that there never will be a smash game again, and that you'll cover the leaks, but maybe I'm a late thirtier or early fourtier then, unable to grasp the magic and nostaligia that we are still in now.
