For everyone who's watching, he did it all correctly except for that he forgot to grease it properly at the end (WD40 does not serve as Grease).
Bike suspensions should always use non rubber corrosive greases like Calcium Grease with almost always type 2 grease viscosity.

This comment is underrated. It is a common misconception to use WD-40 as a lubricant. WD-40 is a SOLVENT. It is designed to remove dirt/grime, etc. WD-40 is not a LUBRICANT. Grease is a lubricant.

@@sbek1386 WD40 have whole asortiman of products from basic lubricants and cleaners to high end Lithium lubricants etc etc we pessants call WD 40 just one product - universal one ..
All fork instructions say Don't ever use WD40 on them. It swells seals and causes damage. Only use Correct grease

Jones Tizmo Just apply the grease on all moving parts and work is done
If you don't have grease to hand Don't use WD40 use something like a wet chain lube if you have to. It'll protect the moving parts far better than a thin, solvent based oil which will dry out quickly and leave everything unprotected.
Better still, wait until you have a dedicated suspension grease!

nice work m8. A piece of practical advice. When you spray WD40 on an item and then plan to clean it with a rug, better to hold the rug behind it durig spray, in order to avoid making a mess around and not waste lubricant material
Great vid, only change is the WD-40 for final lube. It is mostly kerosene not a lubricant and evaporates. Need to add a lite lube at the assembly. Great work.
I can’t take the cover of the suspension off as the bolts are covered, is there nothing I can do?

WD40 removes greese and that's good and I'm sure they work better now but they will wear out quite fast BC you need to have greese in there ! Ahaha

WD 40 has a high amount of water in it & should not be used on a bike ?

U didnt grease any of the internal parts?,would help prevent rust as well as lubricate too.
WD40 is a water repellent so it helps prevent rust but a good lube is a must :)
At this point I would replace the fork 😂. So much trouble for a fork that will at some point need replacing. But besides that it's a great video. Keep up the good work

at 3:10 mine was very tide its not coming and i unfortunately breaks it and some parts got inside the suspension what should i do
MARZOCCHI 55 RS owners this is pretty much your service manual and as an owner i have a few tips that can be added here as well, use fine grease if you don't have any then mix any grease with some oil until you get it in finer consistency then grease the s@?! out of it, make a sponge ring that fits under dust rubber seal and drench it in oil and the fork will actually be useful

HE SAID HE ONLY HAD THAT WD40 STOP THE HATE. Use WD40 to degrease and then use a grease solvent, i recommend you to use BikeWorkx grease lube, Zefal Dry lube or anythink else you like to.
Then he shouldn't have made an instructional video. If you aren't going to do it correctly, then why would you make a video on how to do something?

I have a question that i would really want answered. My bike's front oil suspension was recently changed and one day while i was doing wheelies my bike's suspension maxed and from then when i try to do a manual or a bunny hop or whenever i try to lift my front wheel it makes a loud noise. I searched it on both Google and UA-cam but i didn't find anything. If you know how can i solve this problem i would really appreciate it

Wd40 is a Greace remover/cleaner and lubricant, so I think it's only good for cleaning or quick fix personally
Is that an air fork or a coil? Bcs if it’s a coil i could save some money

Who else got distracted by the perfect brick wall. The floor looked kind of cool too.
Use Steel wool -0000 grit (the fines to get the rust off. Then use a stiff bottle brush and diesel to clean out the tubes.

If they are air on the bottom of the fork there will be a cap that u can turn if u want the fork to get out faster or slower

Just buying a bike . A very good specialised but the forks only have 10 mm travel so maybe this will help . There was very very little rust forming not alot but a bit near the seales.

Also if your doin this I recommend using Slickolium it’s a great fork grease and don’t use WD40 as a lubricant. Also again Park Tool PPl grease will not work on forks

The WD40 won't stay there for long and then your fork runs dry. Better is to grease it.

In the suspension give some oil okk....not to open..only give oil..its work good

it might be locked out, try one of the adjustments on top of it.
My xcr is about a year old and is somehow stuck but ill try this pretty soon
El peor mantenimiento a una horquilla, en principio debiste utilizar desengrasante y una vez limpio, utilizar grasa de teflón.
Por qué sacaste el cartucho derecho? Lo que vale en un buen servicio para esa horquilla era sacar el muelle del lado izquierdo para limpieza y engrasado.

Try to unscrew that bolt
Riders PT I can only unscrew the top part and only one of them unscrews the other just pops off
Just unscrew that and then the forks should get lose
