I ‘wasted’ hours playing with the 2-speed axle on my old LN8000… pouring over the tech docs for the diff and the shift motor, only to find the problem was in the wire from the knob to the distribution panel, under the carpet. Intermittent failures are no fun. At least I didn’t have to replace a sun gear or a clutch gear. 5 minute fix, 5 *redacted* to diagnose.
We were using a ripped trampoline material as a tarp. Pretty incredible how tough that stuff is. Works great as a tarp and is quite a bit thicker and stronger than these seem to be. (granted, it's not in the right shape for one of these trucks)

If you want good tarps buy used billboard signs. Very tough cheap to obtain and if you buy a grommet kit you can put tie offs where you want.

Those little 5/16 self-tappers are handy but they are not made to be used like some people use them, and installed on everything🤨
