I am very happy to say that I libre is the smoothest software ever, especially when it comes to 3-D printing. I have never 3-D printed before because of the ease of use of a libre I literally started 3-D printing in less than two days.
3:20 the ability to modify your keyboard shortcuts to anything you want is one of the most powerful things in Alibre. If you've never used any other CAD, then Alibre's defaults are not bad by any means! However, the ability to match the keyboard commands of a software you've recently switched away from is WAY more powerful than people give credit. The ability to keep your workflow and speed by keeping keyboard commands the same is the issue I'm currently having when switching away from Photoshop.
13:42 that is absolutely brilliant. That probably makes it way quicker to mask out the part later in editing. Great idea. A guy with a background in graphic design totally should've thought of that sooner....... oops.
I’m 4 minutes into this video and all l can say is God bless you! I’m transitioning from Solidworks to Alibre for the first time as a graduate mechanical engineer at my first job and this video has made me much more comfortable in Alibre. Let’s get to work 😎

06:03 Quick Tip: When I do speedruns, I also turn off animations. A second or two here and there, for free, is always nice.

How about setting Z-axis to up?? Can't believe it's not possible . Makes me wish I just hadn't bought this
Would it be possible to improve the performance of the UI? It feels slow due to behaviors like the one shown in 3:14
@manuel56354 I'm pretty sure v29 is meant to be the 'UI overhaul' update from what I've heard. Could be wrong.
The keyboard shortcut menu being slow is kindof understandable because it's loading tons and tons of changeable options, but I understand what you mean.
@@WeekdayWeekendWell yeah, in this particular case I wouldn't care because, is not often that I go and change the settings.
But this kind of 'slowness' can be felt in many other day to day menus with fewer options.

I'm using V22 and I don't see some of the features / settings you are describing.
Understandable and no problem. My bad.
But I didn't notice anywhere or hear you mention what version of Alibre you are using. I assume "the latest" version but this won't always be the latest version so it might be useful to indicate your version unless you plan to update ALL the videos for each version change.
