If the kids on the baseball team were fundraising such as going door to door selling popcorn or setting up a lemonade stand, they would have a greater understanding of hard work and how you need to earn the things you want in life rather than having people just give them money. And in the future, those kids could look back on that trip having much more respect for themselves, teammates, coaches and parents, knowing they earned every moment of that trip.
Indeed and this why the young ones of today are so self-entitled, thinking that the world owes them everything, asking for higher wages straight out of university, and it is all about them. Most of them have no idea of hard work.

If I had millions I wouldn't beg for money for a trip for my child. At the same time I wouldn't just pay for the trip either. My child would learn what it means to earn the funds to go on a trip. Then whatever amount that couldn't be achieved I would cover the difference, but he would have to put forth a concerted effort before I did my part.

I realize people like beating up on the rich and Milano has certainly given the world enough fodder to make a target of herself, but...
Do you think it is at all possible that she is paying for her son's share of the expenses and perhaps has guaranteed to cover the costs if they are unable to raise enough for the rest of the team? And her post is a way of using her fame to raise awareness of the need? Being able to just throw money around is a quick way to not only make the other parents resentful but can lead to an expectation that she will continue to be the teams ATM.

@@WyzGyzEntertainment It was not so much a request as it was a celebrity providing free advertising for a fundraiser. The way to go about it is to not require 10k for some kids to swing a stick. Coaches are almost always volunteer fathers. And if the kids want flashy uniforms, they should do lawn work or host a bottle drive, or car washes. Milano should have not posted anything in my opinion. Once someone is in the public eye, they should keep their kids out of it as much as possible. I would never post anything about my kids publicly on social media. I would only share photos and events with loved ones. Every bit of information is ammo that can be used against a star.

So this I totally understand where you guys are coming from...but I also come from a background in having to fundraise for sports and big tournaments for softball...definitely isn't cheap. So while I get why she posted the go fund me because the team as a whole has to work hard to be able to go to Cooperstown, I also don't understand why she just wouldn't pay it forward and do that for the team. I get that most parents can't afford 10k up front for their kuds ball team but I mean, if you want them to learn the importance of fundraising and getting out in the community that's fine but you couldn't atleast do half?
