Love the glow in the dark yarn. Sixty years ago my grandmother always made crocheted gifts for all us grandchildren. The one I still bring out every Christmas is the candles in six different heights. She crocheted over paper towel rolls in red and green yarn with a yellow wick the size like it was lite. They are beautiful and bring back wonderful memories of her. The glow in the dark yarn would be great for both or just wick. Love your show.
I just found you and so glad I did. I loved this review. I've ordered TEMU stuff and it's a hit or miss, but just read the reviews. This is WONDERFUL reviewing their yarns! Thank you so much! Great voice, easy to listen to and I laughed along with you! I'm definitely ordering some yarn now, specifically the glow in the dark! How fun!!! Thank you again from a new fan and follower!
I love the blanket yarn. I brought purple baby alpaca and it is the best yarn I have every had. Like crocheting with butter. It frogs well, the colour is beautiful. I think the temu yarn isn't always labelled well but seems to be great value.
I have never used Bernat home decore yarn , but I like the type of yarn it is, kinda corded. Thank you for your comparisons, i will have to keep that yarn in mind.
I'm happy to hear that. I've been afraid to order from Temu, someone somewhere told me it was a scam. I'm glad to hear it's safe. On UA-cam I see ads for yarn & it's so inexpensive.😊
Thank you so much for the review. I ordered my first order 2 wks ago. I bought the glow in the dark yarn, i have not tried it yet , i hope glows well. I love that yellow yarn you got. I did buy a 100 cotton yarn no name but it comparable to the premier cotton yarn ?? Maybe. I love the mat you git for your daughter for painting , I will have to get me one. I love the milky yarn you got as well. I might would try a tank top with that cashmer milky yarn. I bought a cover for my Kitchen aid mixer , love it. I have purchased afew tank tops and tgey are so super soft and comfy teue to size. I have got just acouple things that was not to my standard but over all im happy with everything I have ordered. Im new to your channel as of Sat morning. Thank you. So much for your review.
I got chunky yarn off temu and it is honestly the softest yarn i have ever felt and the roll was huge. I will be ordering 3 more different colors of the yarn. Honestly temu is the best or worst depending on where you live and what you are buying. In my area it arrives early by days. Yarn js common on their so it is pretty easy to find a reliable seller
Thanks for this review. I've been interested in buying from Temu but haven't pulled the trigger yet. This helped me decide to try the substitute for bernat home for sure.
My experience was different the yarn I ordered had a really bad smell. I make things for charity so I couldn’t use it because smell didn’t come out with vinegar or washing it.
@@ACraftyConcept cool! Thanks! I should be smart enough to buy just one skein of a new yarn to try it out first like you did. I bought a bunch of that soft cotton that I mentioned, and now I’ll have to throw it all out because it turns out so poorly. (I didn’t find out til I’d had it too long to return it) 🤦🏻♀️ Thanks again! 💕
I had a plastic glo in the dark ball as a kid in the 70's. It was about the size of a tennis ball and hollow. I think knitting or crocheting a ball and stuffing it with fiberfill would be fun to toss around. I just saw a knitter named Tash who knitted the brin on a hat holding the yarn together with reflective thread.
I was watching this video and I was like her accent 😮 I love it also thanks for the review of temu yarn bc I didn’t want to buy if it wasn’t worth it but you make it seem like it it
I use finger cots on my left hand to keep yarn from hurting my fingers when crocheting! I have RA and my one finger on my left hand I got tired of the ridge on pointer finger when wrapping yarn. And I always use one finger if struggling with hook or yarn rubbing on my finger to keep fingers from being sore. That tape would work!
Your glow yarn is awesome. Mine was more of a turquoise ki nda blue yarn your was a light green color i got it out in the sun right now. Lol curious how it will look glowing.
Hi Ashley, I am new today to your channel. I was really wanting to know more about the Temu yarns. I was also curious if the price was worth the yardage. I do love they offer so many colors, love the colors and the glow was strong as you mentioned. thanks so much for sharing.
I'm very skeptical of Temu. I've done some research and don't know if I trust them with my information or their intentions. Think I'd rather buy in a store here in the US. That being said, thanks for the review! If I ever do make the plunge, i would buy the replacement for home decor yarn. 👍
I bought yarn on Temu and I didn’t like it at all . I’m used to do Amigurumi so I’m always trying new yarn but Temu yarn felt like I was eating yarn 😂. It’s like it’s falling apart. But I’m used to lion brand yarn or Jean arts yarn .
Agree. And I refuse to go there. I'd rather buy from a country who isn't trying to kill us let alone destroy us and our loved ones. In all good conscience, I will vote with my money and not contribute to a communist country.
Yardage is a better guide ran weight as different fibers have different weights for the same yardage. Thanks for showing some Temu yarns as I've not been tempted by any yet and I've just discovered your channel 🙂❤
I have bought a bunch of glow in the dark yarn to make stuffed for grandkids but wasn't sure about it could you make a video about doing just that. Please and thank you.
Do you think the Temu blanket yarn can be used to make reusable water balloons? Also material wise? I've been wanting to make those forever but where I live they barely sell blanket yarns, only a few very expensive ones.
What are the shipping costs like to the USA? Is free shipping available with a certain minimum purchase amount? One reason why I don't order yarn more often from places like Ice Yarns is because the shipping is so expensive.
The milk yarn does cause some issues with splitting. I have been using it in small skeins that are a dk size and a thicker yarn. Made a throw with the thicker one and it is so squishy and soft. But the yarn came with a strong chemical smell. That is what I dread with stuff from China. Cannot check the manufacturing process.
Thanks for the review. Temu does not describe things very well. I have been hesitant to try their yarns because they don’t state yards/meters per skein and, of course, you can’t feel it. May dip my toe in the water after your review. Love the disco ball planter.
I'm planning on using it for Amigurumi with a 4mm hook. It's great to crochet with for those fun little animals, creatures. It's the similar yarn that the Woobles products/kits use.
Beware on the colored yarn, I bought some back and purple ... very pretty and soft, but when I made a ball with my yarn winder, I noticed the black on my hand that kinda held the yarn while I winded... ? Never saw that happen before....
