For those curious about the yarn label at 1:32 / 21:56, I used Google Translate for the Chinese. Despite the label being upside down, I manage to roughly translate it to "Hand wash, do not bleach with chlorine, spread dry, do not iron, use natural detergent, dry in the shade." (手洗不可氯漂 平摊干燥 不可熨燙中性洗剂 阴干). I've also managed to translate the Korean on the yarn label at 12:31 / 21:56. It roughly translates to 'Milk silk 20%' (우유 실크: 20%) and 'Skin-friendly nylon 50%' (친 피부 나일론: 50%). Just wanted to share the info I found! 👍 P.S. Loved your yarn review! Keep up the good work. 😊
I had a coworker who kept telling me I needed to get a yarn winder. I said I didn't need one... finally got one about 4 years ago and I LOVE it... if you want to work a yarn double, it is so much easier to pull from center + outside on a cake!
Yessss that's my favorite part about it is pulling from the center😂 I get so frustrated if I cant find the center pull in a regular skein because it takes me FOREVER to work a project if I gotta keep unwinding it from the outside hahaha
;the "mohair" is not real mohair - its just fluffy acrylic. The velvet one I can bet money is not color-fast. I would be very cautious with the darker colors that you at least pre-wash or pre-soak them to make them colorfast before you make anything with them so you don't ruin anything else in your wash. I actually love team's variegated sock yarn - I got 10 full skeins for 19 cents total! Put stuff in your shopping cart, then leave for a day or two. The AI will lure you back to shop by letting you "spin" to get 90% off and you can get 10 skeins at a time for 19 cents each :)
I bought that exact yarn winder from Temu and it came with all the needles and stitch markers and only paid 4$. It also started to squeak so loud after a month that I had to throw it out. I now have a 10.5oz Stanwood Needlecraft Winder and it was the best decision I ever made! It is expensive but so worth it!
I just got so much Temu yarn and actually just used it to make your cow pattern. I won’t buy yarn anywhere else now. I love it! And it came in a week! My premier yarn I bought 3 weeks ago still hasn’t shipped! I love TEMU!
most of that you ordered is not cotton. looks like 100% acrylic. you can tell because of the sheen on it. when the skein says "imitation cotton" or "Synthetic wool" or something similar, its not cotton or wool; its simply acrylic.
This is an awesome video~ thank you for sharing this info❣️ I've never ordered yarn from temu, but after seeing this, you've inspired me to order yarn, etc., from them~ gorgeous yarn❣️❣️❣️
I have that same yarn winder i personally love it and use it so very much i like to tie my scrap yarn together and make scrap cakes to make scrappy blankets for my boys
I've bought from Temu a lot of times now and have really enjoyed what I got and haven't had to return anything. I think I've ordered a few velvet yarns to try them out but I will be buying a few more after seeing your haul. I like the yarn winder and might try it if I can get a bargain because here in Australia the nicer thread winders are nearly $100 which is insane because I do not need to pay to much money on something my hands can happily do although the cakes do look nice when they are full
I love ur video. I have been using temu yarn for a while now and I love the way it knits up and the price is amazing. At the moment I am knitting a baby blanket with temu yarn . It's so soft and knits up amazing.
I don't know if you've already opened the pink giant yarn yet, but I bought the same one and thought the same thing. But when I "opened" it, it turned out to be a twisted skein that they had tied together with sting; one tug, and it came loose, leaving a thread-free yarn :) I think mine had ties like that at four places.
I bought mohair yarn before. The prices varies around between 7 - 10 dollar. And they come in 50 grams. You can also buy more expensive over here in Germany! Greetings
good mohair can be between $8-20 per skein near me and usually comes in 25 or 50 g, but to check the yardage is important because mohair is naturally lightweight so 25/50g will be more yarn than you might think!
Lovely yarn, you will be able to create lots of your wonderful toys. The one yarn I can't knit with is Chenille, I can't stand the feel of it. Ruth down under.
I lived abroad and these were the exact yarns available to me. they are are very good quality and hold up well. the mohairs ones may not be 100% but its imitation so it all works, i would also suggest ice yarns it's turkish. all the yarn i had was turkish and they were great
I’ve never used anything that turned out to be better than the Yarn Bee plush yarns. I don’t know if I just get lucky every time I buy my skeins, but it is amazing to work with. Hobby lobby has it 30% off every other week so I’ve never paid over $3.50 to $4.50 depending on the weight. So I feel like I definitely get a great deal. But after seeing this I think I’ll try out the Temu yarn.
Real mohair is very expensive. The ones I buy are 100g $15/twisted hank and they are a kid mohair and silk blend. I didn’t know you could label something mohair if it isn’t real.

Hi Karis! Am hoping your 😊weekend's gone well! Came on here today specifically to ask about yarns. Have you ever used & if so, do you like & or recommend Herrshner's yarn? Also, I'm kinda "shy" when it comes to mail order yarn. Not being able to do a hands-on "test" of sorts. Also, I like making baby afghans w/white & variegated & am having a hard time buying those combos in same yarn. Are there any brands in stores that you prefer? Have not used the chunky or velvet yet! Recommendations?? Thank you so much for ANY help Karis! Happy Hookin! Dawn ✌️🤘
Hello!! I have not tried that brand that I know of. Mainly, for most of my plushies, I use velvet yarn by baby bee (from hobby lobby) and sweet snuggles (from Michael’s). I use a lot of yarn from hobby lobby and Michael’s as well, but definitely TONS of baby bee lol I’d definitely recommend it for plushies☺️
I enjoyed this video a lot! But for velvet yarn I seen people burn the ends to keep it from shredding and I also see people making like a knot for it to stop shredding! also me personally I wouldn’t trust temu yarn since you don’t know what it’s actually made from
yay I'm glad you enjoyed it! and yeah, I've heard of burning the ends! I'm gonna have to try that at some point. I have noticed that some of them aren't made of what they say, or it's marketed by a different name, so I don't think I'm going to make a habit out of shopping there, but what I did receive from this haul I've been fine with!☺
What are the shipping costs like? How do Temu's shipping charges compare to those of other international vendors who ship to the USA? (Such as Hobbii, Hobium, Ice Yarns, or some of the UK online yarn websites)
Yeah it’s highly possible that it’s just acrylic meant to look like mohair and marketed incorrectly. I definitely wish I could’ve tried a few different methods to test if they were actually the yarn type they claimed
