Hi Steve. Would you just run a long dmx cable from controller to light if I was on the other end or room controlling. And if 2 lights are on seperate sides of the room would I run a long dmx to Dixie chain them together
I've used them on small stages and they create a nice effect, but if you are in a larger venue you are going to want to get something more powerful. Thanks for watching!
Did they work when it was new? One time I had a mover where the belt that rotates the gobo got stuck. I opened it up with a few screws and got it working again. Maybe I was just lucky.
Thanks for the kind words! On smaller lights like these, the designers always seem to put strobing (blinking) into their auto programs. There is no way (that I know of) to eliminate it from an auto or sound active mode- unfortunately you need to use DMX to get that level of control.
When you are using the "memory effects" (auto functions) there isn't a way to restrict them to solid colors. For that kind of control you would need a DMX controller - like QLC+! To get that to work you need a computer with the app installed (its free) and an interface that connects to the lights. I'm hoping to do a QLC+ setup tutorial sometime soon.
Simple brackets for small lights like these can be hard to find. Try eBay (a seller called lightaudio15 sometimes has different sizes) If you find a good source I'd love to know. Appreciate you watching...
If DMX Channel 4 is set to 0 the gobo will be open and you can select solid colors with the lower values of Channel 3 (you can see this at 7:10) Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
If you designate one unit as the "Master" you can daisy chain as many others as you want as "Slaves" and whatever settings the master is on, and whatever it is doing, the others will all synchronize together and do the same thing. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
For this level of control you would definitely want to be using DMX. You would program a specific scene on your DMX controller using the movers specific channels for colors and movement to get the exact look you want. Thanks for watching!
You could daisy chain your similar lights in their own chains and have each chain work in its own auto or sound active modes, (without a controller) but if you tried to daisy chain them all together you would get some very unpredictable results (which could be fun!)
Hey Steve I got this light but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong . I plugged the power cord the light went on it moved once and stopped and now it’s not moving . What I’m I doing wrong ? What is the other cord for ?
Hi- are you using a DMX controller? If not, you need to go the menu functions (4th page: SHnd) Press Enter and you will be able to select between the 4 different memory effects. Hope that helps!
The difference between the 9 ch and 11 ch is that the 9 ch does not have fine pan and tilt, you should see the The lixada gobo light video because he mentions the 11ch part and every Cheap mini moving head gobos has the same function channels except the high end brands like chauvet and adj I had the XPCLEOYZ moving head gobos lights and had the same functions as the Betopper one mentioned
Yes, most of the smaller budget movers have basically the same controls, but often they are on different channels, so each model has to be configured properly on the controller. Appreciate the comment (and thanks for watching this one)
Thank you for your videos I just bought lights and don’t know anything so these videos help a lot !
Appreciate you watching and glad the video was helpful!

Thankyou so much Steve for your video
Thanks very much for watching it!
Very informative! Do you have anything that describes how to set pan/tilt limits? Thanks!
These are simple lights and there is no way to set pan/tilt limits directly on the light itself. You would need to program that on your controller.
I got myDMX 5. Problems solved! Thanks!
Way cool! Thanks for the tutorial!
Thanks for watching!
Hi Steve I saw another video explaining the setup for iPad connection would a cable work as well
There are a few different ways to connect to an iPad app, but all of them would require some kind of adapter. Appreciate you watching this one!
Hey Steve, would these lights be good for a band on a theater stage? Would they be bright enough?
I've used them on small stages and they create a nice effect, but if you are in a larger venue you are going to want to get something more powerful. Thanks for watching!
Hi steve, ive got a gobo mini moving head, its working but the gobos are not rotating, any idea how i can fix that?

@@LearnLizard yes they did, and yes its only the gobos that are not working, do you have a video while fixing the belt?
Thanks Steve! Your content has helped a ton! Is there any way to edit the slow auto mode to turn off the flashing lights? Got some complaints. Thanks!

how do you get them into just solid color mode? and how do you get the lights to work on the QLC+ app?

Do you or know were I can buy the hanging brackets for these lights ..

They are included in the box.
Thank you very much for your review!🥰
Thank you for watching it!
How can i set them up to show solid spot colors without graphics?
If DMX Channel 4 is set to 0 the gobo will be open and you can select solid colors with the lower values of Channel 3 (you can see this at 7:10) Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
i'm not very clear with master and slave part
If you designate one unit as the "Master" you can daisy chain as many others as you want as "Slaves" and whatever settings the master is on, and whatever it is doing, the others will all synchronize together and do the same thing. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Hi Steve, I'd like 2 x lights to be still, with a white light shining onto a mirror ball. Do you know which mode I'd need to do this?
For this level of control you would definitely want to be using DMX. You would program a specific scene on your DMX controller using the movers specific channels for colors and movement to get the exact look you want. Thanks for watching!
hi. one questions. can be use 2 moving head flood with 2 moving head gobo, to wotk together, but without a dmx controler? thanks.

How do you control the dmx from your iPhone or iPad? How is that achieved? Does it use Bluetooth to connect ? I’m lost on the connection aspect
Here's a video that shows how to control DMX lights (like these) from an iPad: ua-cam.com/video/6TU_2ViTXCQ/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching!
3 prism?

Hi Steve, What is the best/easiest DMX control Software for PC. We work now whit MagicQ but we need something simpele. Maybe a video idee? :)
Hi- I'm mostly a Mac guy, but on the PC I've been using QLC+.
Its free and pretty easy to use.
