@@croissantproductions The price difference is also miles apart. Having controlled a very well known lighting showroom in the Midwest through the 1990's selling ADJ product I know the difference between ADJ and Shehd. It's not the product, it's the price. It is pretty much all made in the same Chinese factories other than an occasional ADJ fixture made in Germany. You are paying for the name and an established customer service with ADJ. You end up paying 2 to 4 times the price for very similar product. The current and past CEO's of ADJ know who I am as does the corporate director of sales Brad and their head tech Ernie. I do have a thing for their Show Designer 512 channel controller but I can control 1,024 channels with a controller that only costs $300.00 new.
Hi- You can definitely set up simple functions using the menu controls but to really get the most effective results you need to use a DMX cable and some kind of DMX controller. Thanks for watching!
Being new to DMX the biggest question that I have, can you wirelessly use one connector to control LED, pars, and Goboes on the same controller? And if so, can you make a video of doing that?
Great video. How would these perform on 6 foot totems for wedding and event DJing? Do they tilt down enough? Would the 7R 230s be a better choice? Thx.
Hi- Unfortunately neither of these tilt down far enough to have the beam hit the dance floor if it is close to a 6' totem. The 7R 230 is way bigger and heavier too- Probably bigger than what you would want to lug to smaller gigs. Appreciate you watching.

I think it might be possible but not easily -- unless you are quite technically inclined. I researched it a while back and might try making a video if I'm feel brave some day.
Hi- sorry I can’t do one on one help (I’m only doing this part time as a hobby) but if you can describe what’s going on (or not going on haha) here in the comments I’ll do my best to help. Appreciate you watching!
Electronic equipment (lights included) doesn't like moisture. Even if they survive the initial exposure, problems can crop up later due to corroded connectors or components. But if you have to do the gig you can set up a pop-up canopy and keep all your gear underneath if its not windy or raining too hard. I've also put trash bags over audio gear in a few situations, but I wouldn't recommend that with lights because of the heat they can generate. Good luck and stay dry!
Right now they are $186.15 with free shipping to the US on the Shehds website: www.shehds.com/products/6-prism-led-spot-100w-gobo-lights-with-aperture-with-lcd-display-stage-effect-lighting-dj-disco-stage-moving-head-lights-stage-dj-lighting-617
Quick question: I programmed my Ayra ERO 706 movinghead on the Ayra OSO 240B MKII dmx controller and trying to run it in music mode, however it never runs the entire program (it stays on the right and never reaches the left) due to the beat it picks-up i guess? Should I program more steps in the chase?
Hi - So I'm assuming you have your fixture in DMX mode (not show mode) and a chase programmed on the controller that you are running in "sound active mode"? Does the full chase (all scenes) run when the chase is manually activated? Have you tried setting your fade time to 0? Also, there is a setting on this controller which allows you to affect only the pan & tilt channels for a fade. I would make sure this is off to help troubleshoot. If everything works perfectly in manual mode, I'm guessing that the mic in the controller is not picking up all the transients in the music. Unfortunately there is no mic sensitivity control on this unit that I am aware of. Hope that helps and you get everything working the way you want!
Have you found any software-based DMX controllers (iPad, Android, MacOS or Windows) that EASILY allow for manual selection of defined channel ranges? For example, in this video some of the gobo channels have multiple discrete ranges for things like individual selection, rotation direction and speed, shake, etc. I have some laser units that have similar controls, and I’ve yet to find a software package that lets me QUICKLY and ACCURATELY move to a specific range or exact value then make micro adjustments from there. Ideally such software would also allow me to define these ranges and/or values with labels, so that I could access without having to cross reference or memorize a lookup table.
There are so many software controllers I'm guessing that feature exists somewhere. I'm mostly using Vibrio on the iPad because its so simple to set up and use. With it you can type in any value below the fader and it will jump to it. Its quick and accurate and you can micro adjust from that starting point. There are no labels but that would be a great feature!
Check out the ADJ/Wolfmix WMX1 stand-alone DMX controller. It's a compact, customizable controller with a 4x5 grid of dynamically-labeled, illuminated buttons, combined with built-in color, motion, and beam effects generators. With a downloaded or custom fixture profile, it will automatically assign a fixture group's DMX gobo selection ranges to any column of buttons you prefer (up to 10 selections per column). You can do the same with customized colors and pan/tilt positions for up to eight separate groups of fixtures.
Hi- I'm not sure what you are asking? Are you asking if the mini beam has IR (Infra Red) control? It does not. You would need to use DMX. Appreciate you watching!
Steve, That’s an awesome light. Much better than my Equinox Fusion Spot MK2. Great video. 😍 How much is this and I need to look them up if they are available in the UK 🇬🇧. 🙏🏼
Appreciate the kind words! You can buy it directly from Shehds for $339 USD (in the US with free shipping) I'm not sure how much in the UK but I believe Shehds ships there to. Thanks for watching 🙂
I would highly doubt that’s a neutrik connector, it’s likely a generic Powercon. Neutrik is a brand that sells xlr, Powercon, trueone etc. connectors. If it was a neutrik connector they would probably put it in their specs.
Just an FYI: The prism in the light is called a 6-facet prism. The Chinese companies like Shehds can never get their English right 😂 hence why they call it a 6-prism or whatever
Chauvet makes great products, but it's really hard to beat Shehds prices. (and so far so good with the performance- although I'm not running them 24/7)
