Sometimes everything happens at once when you are most stressed. When my son was 3 I fled his dad. (nuff said there) My deep freezer stopped working, the furnace quit in the winter, the stove stopped working, the tap would not stop dripping and a window on my truck got broke.... in 24 hours. I realized I would get through this... but in that moment with so much other stuff and emotions going on... it felt enormous. I called the landlord... he fixed the furnace, stove and tap... I investigated the freezer... my amazing help plugged in the lid and not the freezer and I caught it in time... the window... the breaker of said window paid to have it replaced. At that point, I knew I could do all the hard things. You are just in a phase of doing the hard things and it will get better.
The Lord was testing you those 24 hours! Hope you are in a much better place and living a quiet, peaceful life full of grace.

Since I bought my townhouse I’ve had nothing but problems, but no money to hire anyone to fix them, and I’m a single mom also. We’ve been living with mold for over 3 years and our health keeps getting worse. 😢

Girl, I lived through such an abusive childhood that I was grateful when I got married, but he was abusive too, but it wasn't as bad as when I was a kid....I thought, so I was grateful to have such a "good" life....but it got worse and worse....never better. Finally, I knew I'd die if I didn't make it change. So we were finally divorced just as my youngest graduated from high school.
That's when everything went wrong, and I had to foot the bills by myself for it all....but later on I found my prince charming hubby and God replaced all those unhappy years, but I was very cautious for a long time.
Fast forward 14 more years, and my husband, the prince, died. I'm still trying to get through that grief and trying to adjust and adapt to my new normal.
I'm glad to see that you're still greeting each day and doing it with grace. Love and prayers.
Just a tip. I cut out the instructions off the pizza box and attach it to the pizza. It takes up less room

I have been following for years and never left a comment. Its peculiar how we as humans feel connected with -at first glance- random people. Im 32, mom to 3, Belgian/Moroccan, muslim, living in Belgium (its that tiny dot on the map next to France and The Netherlands). Yet here I am.
I have been homeschooling for 1,5 years because of your encouragement (homeschooling in Belgium is very rare). Your videos have brought me much comfort over the years. So it's only right I offer you some during your difficult season by simply leaving a comment to tell you, you have touched hearts all over the world and I hope you are doing well through the smiles and the laughter.

Put your dishwasher rack on your counter as a drying rack. Could also use a second one for dirty dishes. Just a temporary solution. I did this during a power outage and it worked well.

FYI...... My brother ( a home repair guy) informed me that with PVC pipes you have to run cold water down the drains as you pour boiling water down the drains or you get leaks. So far my leaks have stopped as I do the cold water method. Would have been nice if he told me that 18 years ago, lol. Just thought I'd share, maybe you already knew that. M.
Thanks for posting this. I am going to try this method. Lots of plumbing issues at my dad's. He isn't doing well so my little family unit is trying to care for him as we adjust to new ever changing normals.

Oh I have been there with the dishwasher and disposal problems. Tip … use the dishwasher racks as drying racks. Good Luck my friend. Just keep staying positive 😊.
Paper products until the plumber gets things fixed. You do a great job.
Or... continue hand washing. We have become so accustomed to convenience that it's unthinkable to be without it! Folks that came before us functioned just fine without an appliance for everything. I think Jammerill is doing fine.

That’s a lot of dishes to wash by hand and very time consuming given everything else she has to do. It isn’t just about convenience it’s about coping with the pressures off daily lives and doing everything that’s expected off us without completely burning out. If paper products take the pressure off I don’t see any issue with that.

When it rains it pours, that's what my nana used to always say! I just have to tell you, your positive attitude and outlook on life is why I am here as a subscriber. I am currently going threw postpartum depression with a 8 month old and you are helping me so much! I also have a 7, almost 8 year old and never had it with him so this is all new! You help people and we all love you!

Don't be sorry! Watching the organizing is so satisfying to many of us. I hate a cluttered, disorganized freezer! BTW, you are looking fabulous.
2 things I learned with garbage disposals. 1. There is tool that looks like an Allen wrench that fits underneath the unit under the sink. Find the notch where the wrench fits and turn both ways until it moves freely. 2. Sometimes there is a red reset button on the bottom of the unit. If you have one press it and see if it resets. Oh. And 3. Check your breaker for the disposal and or flip the breaker and reset. Sometimes it just needs re set.
Appliances are a necessity! Sorry you were having so much trouble with yours. You are handling the situation far more gracefully than I would. 😏 We’re all a work in progress.

Our plumber told us a garbage disposal is nothing but a plumber’s moneymaker. He said he won’t have one in his house. We removed ours over a year ago and haven’t missed it yet.
Nothing goes down my sink. In the trash learned my lesson....have a septic.
I just want to say you are such an encouragement to other women. I hope you know you are doing such a great job since life has changed for you. I'm sure it's hard to have to always figure all the things out now so kudos to you Jamerrill. You are such a blessing to your family and your community.

Three times in a row when I made sloppy joes we also happened to have tornado warnings and now the kids don’t want me to make sloppy joes ever again! 😝 I hope that your dishwashers are back up and running soon!

II’m 73 and never had a dishwasher. Thought about it but it was never a priority for me. I worked full time and found the evening routine to clean the dishes with one of my kids, they had turns, was a good way to catch up with them one on one. With the the family gathering’s getting bigger I wish I had one, but all my family just do the clean up , even the grandkids. Nothing is more fun than swishing around in nana’s sink with lots of soap bubbles
Nothing is made to last anymore 😢. Praying whatever happens in the future is quickly fixed. ❤
Jamerrill, I love that even through so much hurt, pain , sorrow, and loss you have kept positive and strong for your beautiful family. Your sweet nature and happy go lucky demeanor you are getting through lives upheaval. I've started making freezer meals, and doning food prep. I am nearly 47. I have one child with an ex, sarcastic perpole whom treated our child and I like nothing and left us to raise other children with people he felt were more beautiful than his family. Good riddens if I do say my. Self. I've since met a man who treats me like we're royalty. We have since been together for over 20 years and married for 16 of them. We are also raising my daughters oldest child and my daughters youngest. We are I. The processor adopting these 2 little ones. My husband has no biological children but views my 2 grand children as his son and daughter. He is amazing. I really want to figure out something to show what the very best person in our lives . My hero, and their daddy. Thanks jamirrell for making me a stringer mama. ❤😊🎉

Hopefully by now all the dishwasher woes are solved. But an idea to keep tucked away in case you are ever faced with another time of hand washing is to take one of the racks from the dishwasher and put it on your countertop with a towel underneath to use as an air drying rack. Your beautiful Mega Momma island would even hold multiples.
Your calmness and positive attitude when your kitchen seems to be collapsing around you is a source of inspiration for those of us who tend to get more frazzled by this kind of thing! And you look just beautiful. :)
You've got this. Very happy you look after yourself as you navigate all the things life is throwing at you. I think it's easy, especially as a parent or when we have folks dependent upon us, to not look after ourselves enough. By your example you are encouraging others too. Just a helpful hint as I did away with our dishwasher years ago as we had no need for it. But when you wash your dishes turn them upside down after you wash and rinse them because they will drain out the left over water on the surfaces and dry quicker.

Girl, I've been on septic most my life. Them garbage disposals have never done anyone any favors. Ever. Just get a sink trap. I know you know. I know you know, and I'm just prodding you. Prayers you get fixed up sooner than later.

I love how you never seem to upset or mad about anything. You take it all in stride. The sink and dishwasher disaster and the noodles in the sink. You are a beautiful person. I try to always be positive also. Not always easy but I take a deep breath and put a smile on my face .

Don’t use pods in dishwasher use liquid. I also had to have the top drainage system on top of the sink cleaned out. It was clogged. I was having the same type of issues.
I feel you on the broken appliances. We just had to order parts for our washing machine. Thankfully hubby is handy and fixed it but boy I hate relying on using other peoples washing machines. Take care. 🌸🐨🌸

Oh no. I can relate. Our dishwasher was on the fritz for two years!! I really learned to appreciate the dishwasher once we replaced it this past Christmas, no way was I going another holiday without a dishwasher. I love organizing, reorganizing and making new and sometimes I just don't feel like I have enough time in the day. I'm still working on getting that extra freezer and know it will happen this summer. I love how you have separate freezers for vegetables and meats, so awesome. On the upside, I have almost all of my garden beds turned, so there will be plenty of produce this fall. Paper plates, paper bowls, foil baking dishes, crockpot liners - save your sanity and energy. Silverware is easy to wash, drain dry, and does not take up much room. Cups - solo or a knockoff, and have everyone write their name on the cup and rinse after each use - one per person per day.

I was thinking you could put the dishwasher racks on the counter on top of several thick towels and sit your dishes in them to help them drain . I have extra dish drainers for those extra holiday dish situations. Not as many as you have daily tho.
