I get 13 inches on a nickel with a Vanquish 340 but only about 11 on a clad quarter. I got a very good open box deal on it. Hoping to find some deep silver in places I`ve hunted with Bounty Hunters.
Well i only hunted once with this Explorer but i will say the threshold is more stable in auto mode than manual...But manual mode is a ltttle deeper i noticed..Other than that i think you would lose depth if you were to turn threshold down to much..
@@plugsfordays648 The threshold setting was on factory default but it can be turned down...Not exactly sure if it would effect the performance..Maybe someone with more experience with this machine will chime in...There's a lot of setting you can do with it though...
@@WeirdGuyInPark just bought one with standard coil 14 inch excellerator and a kind of sniper coil bungee and carrybag theres still a few out there to be bought and alot of people say the explorer 2 was deeper than all rest including etrac
@@jakedonnely4094 I found this one used also very cheap...I always wanted an Etrac but never wanted to pay $1500...Seen this one for sale with the etrac coil..Same FBS technology so...I only used it a couple times and hope to get out with it this year more....Good luck with your detecting..
@@WeirdGuyInPark it gets its maiden voyage this weekend only thing is the excellerator coils out wire covering has perished so need to find a way to recover cables
