Thankfully the ball joint has been replaced before on my minivan, but it has this same 3 bolt setup as yours and this is very helpful. Gonna pick up the grease and the thingy to put it in with, got the AC Delco ball joint, definitely need to do this and those sway bar end links (mine broke in half). Probably need to do the sway bar bushings as it keeps breaking the end links every few months so that tells me the sway bar is seized in place and the bushings are not doing their job to allow it to sway up and down a wee bit.
I'm a master tech and u had way more trouble than u showed in video I now for a fact.once u said pull the ball joint down u meant pickle fork or 3 foot pry bar
Thank you so much! Any idea what size bolts are used with the ball joint on the 2006 Saturn Vue? The ball joints I ordered did not come with new bolts...
Not off-hand, but there is something you should be aware of. 1. The bolt should be snug in these holes. If there is ANY play, the bolt will move in its socket until the threads wear away, and then the bolt. You'll then start getting vibrations 2. The grade of the bolts. These common grades are SAE 2,5,8. The higher the grade, the STRONGER the bolt. You don't want low grade bolts on these components because they take a lot of stress here If you give us a Thanks, I will go my my garage and measure up the holes. Hope this helped

I'm super glad I watched this video before starting. I assumed the balljoint was bolted in. I'm going to try using a grinder to remove the rivets
Thanks for watching!
How did the grinder work?
@@jbrownie270 It worked well! After I ground the head off, I used a punch and a hammer to knock them out of the hole.
Thank you so much for this video, you helped save me a ton of money on my new ball joints.
That was a great tip with the hose clamp on the pliers!
