- I decided to try to get my DJI Phantom 3 Advanced drone in the air. I didn't realize what a pain in the butt it was going to be to update the firmware for both the drone and remote control. It took me almost 3 hours to finally get it in the air.

I feel your pain. I fly my mavic just about every week and went to fly the other day out in Rehoboth and it went to auto update the firmware. It took almost an hour seeing I was using cellular and it was really slow.

I wanted a drone but now learning more about the laws I am thinking I am going to stay away. Plus I can't figure out how I would work it into my videos. Ahh I would be going but if I could not just go fly.. who long does a battery last? 15-25min?
Sorry for the delay. Depends on the drone you get. My Spark, which is small, the batteries last 7-9 minutes, but larger drones are about 17-20 minutes.
RealQuickChris you should get 20/25 mins on a full charge.

Sorry, I have to disagree with you. The laws are because stupid people have ruined it for everyone else. Have you seen the videos of drones recording planes landing? Just plain irresponsible
@@MarkPlante yes, I've seen those videos. I am certain some of them are purposely done by people that are pushing for more restriction.
How did you end up fixing the drone to controller issue?

@@MarkPlante mine It tooks 12min. but ı have some issues with Remote Controller. İt is beeping .
Check the DJI forums. I had that happen and it ended up being a corrupt download
