    You’ve inspired me to to get a Street Bob and the mods you’ve done over time are exactly what I’d do and I have many of the same thing you’ve done. I love that TBR comp but I think I’m leaning towards the TBR Turnout. I also got the Whiplash Speed Co seat which made the bike WAY better! I also did the spoke wraps to see if I liked the way it looks and I’ll most likely be doing a different wheel set up in the future. My bike was backed into in a parking lot less than 3 weeks after I bought my 2020 Street Bob and now I’ll have some insurance money to do more mods like the stage one and I might do that same Klockwerks fender you put on because I love the look. I also put some Fused bars from Harley on my bike and I made a video on them because people were asking me about the height since H-D doesn’t have much info on them but the bars look amazing and they feel WAY better than the stock mini apes!
    I’m excited to see what you have in store for 2021 for your bike, I’ll be watching all your videos because we have VERY similar taste in mods for our bikes. Anyways, I hope you and the family are doing good and I can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve!

      @@TheGingybeardMan ya man, no worries! I really enjoy your videos brother! I’ve also been thinking about doing something maybe you’ve thought about but I’m thinking about putting a tank lift on and doing a horn delete. I think the placement of the horn takes up so much unnecessary space and when I get the tank lift I’d like to have that clean gap between the tank and engine. I think it’d look pretty sweet and I’m going to try to figure out a way that maybe I can do a quick connect/disconnect and be able to reinstall the horn unit when needed like possibly for a long road trip. But I actually think motorcycle horns are useless, especially if you have a loud exhaust, you can barley hear the horn over the exhaust and if you give a couple quick revs people tend to hear that over the horn. But it’s something to think about. I’m going to figure it out and most likely do a video on it. I made my first video the other day about the Harley Fused bars because I had people asking me about them since there’s no info on Harleys website about them. But when I get my bike fixed back up and get all my new parts I’ll be making another video, you’ll be able to see some of your influence on my bike right now, it’s like an “older” version of your bike before you did more mods. 🤘🏼😎

    • @TheGingybeardMan
      @TheGingybeardMan  5 років тому +2

      @Raja Ayoub hey man fair question. Number 1 was availability, here in Aus many shops don't have the exhausts in stock which usually means importing exhausts from the U.S. I was lucky enough to find the TBR exhaust in Aus.
      Number 2 is affordability our exchange rate to the U.S dollar is rubbish atm. So it costs an arm and a leg to buy from the U.S not to mention the price of shipping. Aaaand number 3, I've always loved the note of the TBR exhaust and it might sound simple but I love the look of the silencer, I'm a big fan of the carbon fiber end piece.

    Hi Mate! Sweet ride you got there! I just purchased the same exhaust system for my FXBB. Wanted to ask you which tuner map did you use for better performance? I also have a screaming eagle heavy breather so I just want to make sure I tune it correctly for both mods. Shoot when you can, thanks much!

    • @TheGingybeardMan
      @TheGingybeardMan  5 років тому

      @carlos Carmona, I havnt yet installed an after market air cleaner. I'll be doing that when I get a torque cam installed so I can tune it all in one. I always believed:
      Air going out (exhaust).... tuner not necessarily needed, but recommended.
      Air going in (air filter).... tuner for sure. you are messing with the air fuel ratio.
      In saying that when I install the aftermarket air cleaner and torque cam I'll go with the Eagle Pro Street Tuner.

    • @TransmentalMe
      @TransmentalMe 5 років тому

      I think the main thing to keep in mind here is user reviews for the tuner related to the FXBB, and how you want it tuned. Harley tunes are known for running lean and hot, but you get more gas mileage. Tuners like the FuelPak are known for tuning richer so the bike uses more fuel but runs cooler and the heat difference is noticeable after a long ride. (this is my preference, I'm not worried about 5 mpg vs not having the engine scorching hot). That said, I feel as if I remember some users complaining about the big bore tunes for the FuelPak, but that may just be user error.

    I have a question for you, I've got the same bike I've had it about 2 weeks now and I just ordered exhaust for it , did you need to remap it for just the exhaust or just after you changed the breather also?

    • @TheGingybeardMan
      @TheGingybeardMan  5 років тому +2

      Hey Tom I didnt have the bike remapped when installing just the exhaust.
      I've always gone with this principal and have never had an issue:
      Air going out (exhaust).... tuner not necessarily needed, but recommended.
      Air going in (air filter).... tuner for sure. you are messing with the air fuel ratio
      There will be people that say a tuner is needed for an aftermarket exhaust but I've only tuned my bike after having an aftermarket air cleaner installed. I havnt ran into any issues yet.

    Hello I'm putting my TBR pipe on my 2019 street bob tomorrow night and am wondering how you cleared the error code ?and if you had the fob too close to the bike and that's why it set the code or how it came on ? I'm an auto mechanic and as long as the ignition is not turned on you can unplug any thing and plug it back in without setting a code.any info would be helpfull.

    Help! I'm changing my exhaust, vance and hines short shots, but hadn't noticed in the video you have to remove the mid controls? The problems is it's three t45 screws...well I managed to strip one and now can't take them off, hence unable to remove stock exhaust. Any suggestion how to get the bolt out?

    • @TheGingybeardMan
      @TheGingybeardMan  4 роки тому +1

      Really depends how badly stripped the bolt is. Firstly I'd recommend applying some heat to the bolt by using a heat gun or blow torch if you have one. It's best to avoid heating the bolt up any more than necessary, and to give the heat a little time to work its way down through the metal and to the Loctite this will loosen the locktite. If the bolt isn't too badly stripped try and use the next size up torx wrench you may need to use a hammer to get it to bite into the thread.
      If all fails you may need to use a dremel and cut a groove into the bolt. Then you may be able to loosen the bolt with a screw driver. Check this link out:

      @@kevinsanchez-jq1mk it's recommended to tune the bike after an exhaust install however it's more necessary to have your bike tuned after a new air cleaner is installed as the air/fuel ratio will be affected. at least you explained to the newbies why you werent revving all the way to a higher rpm so they arent like yooo this dude doesnt know how or when to shift lol
    oh and harley says dont exceed 3500 rpm for 800 kilometer with is like 500 miles so that mean dont exceed like 4500 rpm for like 300 miles and it should be nice and broken in, it wont even hurt to just do what they say but for 100 miles 500 is a lottttt of riding barley do that in a year unless you daily or road trip. to where i live now to where im gonna in a month CT to PA its 300 miles itll be broken in after that if i didnt exceed 3500 you arent going to break the bike by not doing what they recommend they just recommend, you think they told people in the 90's not to rip it and open her up and look people are still buying and selling those older bikes
