I have had similar issues where I wanted to inject a bit of colour into clouds without affecting the sky itself. This hint works really well. I tried it on an old image I has here and it really helped it look more natural!!

Nice technique and with a reflection in play you may need to apply similar methods to keep the image looking more natural.
