About CrossMix OS for the TrimUI Brick - Thanks everyone for the feedback, comments always appreciated and sometimes I don't have all the answers. I got in touch with LITNXT about this version of CrossMix OS and here is what they had to say: The developer of CrossMix reported that he has been busy recently, so he has not had time to upload information about the Brick. However, he sent the information to LITNXT as a priority and will continue to optimise the issues I encountered in my video. The news they got from the developer, Cizia, is that the open source version is expected to be released this weekend or next week. Cizia knows that LITNXT are using the version featured in my video for promotion. It will continue to be upgraded through OTA in future. I have been informed that CrossMix is expected to be compatible with the Brick and the SmartPro in version 1.4, more info to come. I'll hold off releasing a full review video until the updated, official release of CrossMix is running on my Brick,
Firstly, we will see an update for the Trimui Smart Pro (unfortunately it took longer but it is coming to an end) I think the update for the TSP will be released in the next 2-3 weeks. Then there will be the first official CrossMix OS version for the Brick!!! I'm really looking forward to it!
Absolutely love the fact that they include the extra shoulder buttons, so well thought out! Still edging towards the Pro and Crossmix OS after your review!
Apparently so, I haven't experienced that yet. I've mainly been emulating game boy colour so far, played through super mario land DX and now halfway through Six Golden Coins, and all seems fine but I know these games don't push the hardware. I'll try something more challenging for it and report back
@@nickentros I agree! A bezel free, borderless 4 inch 4:3 display would be awesome. Also, the speaker placement should be at the sides near the top exactly like that of the Analogue Pocket.
Hi Joe , going off Tangent here but I'm fortunate to have one of your early Mods the Neon Advanced named Slimer. Can I ask how many of these did you produce ? Cheers
Since the Miyoo Mini plus released i have not cared about any other retro handheld despite there being more powerful units out there with more buttons, analog sticks and features.
we need CrossMix OS for the Brick! The Trimui Smart Pro is now the best low budget handheld out there. The reason is simple ---> CrossMix OS!!! An incredible CFW that shares first place with OnionOS!!!
HD 3.2" 4:3 screen... Sized in between the original 2.8" *Miyoo Mini* and the 3.5" *Miyoo Mini Plus* This could become a best seller! Hope they have a decent firmware, _Onion OS_ means I still reach for either sized Miyoo over bigger better devices.
@@eksot hello again. I set up a new file on Silver after turning off the WiFi and then this morning just went to load my game and the time is still correct, so as far as I can tell it seems to work. Are there any specific checks you'd like me to try?
@@JoeBleepscool, thank you for testing! Was this with the stock firmware or crossmix? I don't know if it would be too much to ask but I would love if you could check if RTC is working with MinUI, that would be the ideal OS for me to use with the Brick.
@@eksot okay quick update, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I am having no luck with installing MinUI at all, I can't work out why but the emu paks aren't there for the main systems, only the extras. Tried grabbing them from the source code but no luck. After everyone saying how simple it is to install MinUI I've been hours just getting frustrated with it so I'm going back to CrossMix for now
The fact that depending on your game you're playing that it reaches temps 41+C with that metal back, I think I will pass. For me it doesn't beat the MM+

Where to download cross mix for brick?
@@cs9927 as I said in my comment above, I'm told it's coming soon

The SmartPro really is such a brilliant handheld
This is the Pinnacle of Retro Games Hardware coming out of China.
It's definitely headed that way
The White Brick is the only one with the silver back plate! I'll keep the White and Red ones and give the Black one to my brother.
@@jonathonearl482 I was most excited about a purple one to match my Analogue Pocket but the white really does look great
@@JoeBleeps Yes. Many people are unaware of the fact that Trimui mimicked those 4 colors of the Analogue Pocket White, Black, Purple and Red.
I dont understand some people are saying they have crossmix installed while I cant seem to find it available for the Brick yet? Where can I find
I have asked LITNXT for clarification and will comment back here when I find out.
It's coming soo, please see my pinned comment for more info thanks
Does it get hot?

I've just bought a MM+ for a bargain price of £23. With Onion OS I don't think anything will beat it for quite a while.
Perhaps Trimui will later release a Trimui Brick Plus, same size as the Analogue Pocket with a 3.5 inch 4:3 display.
I would be all over that!
@@JoeBleeps I would as well!
It'd be better with the 4" 720p screen from the 406V or 406H
@@nickentros either way a bigger unit with a bigger screen would be welcomed. This little screen on the Brick is really fantastic though.

@markquelch9142 oh hi! I think I ended up making around 80 different units in the end. I have a spreadsheet somewhere
@@JoeBleeps Thanks Joe . All the best

I always recommend the Miyoo Mini Plus to people, but the TrimUI hardware is becoming a more frequent recommendation
can you post the OS image without the roms please
I have asked LITNXT for clarification and will comment back here when I find out.
It's due to be released soon, please see my pinned comment
Is there a list of the Rom Hacks included on this card?
Which postmaster games come with the CrossMix card, if any? Thanks in advance!

When the CrossMix is fully optimised and gets an official release it should be fantastic
Does the Brick have an RTC (real-time clock)? Could you test this with some pokemon games if they keep track of the time? (with WiFi turned off)
I'll have a look

I could've sworn it was pronounced Tri-mu-ee. The lightbulb didn't come on until I heard you say it.
I'm an idiot!
I wasn't sure at first but I am pretty sure it's based on the UI being efficient and simple? A "trim" UI - I could easily be wrong though!
@@JoeBleeps No, you're definitely right. My brain is a bit sluggish at times, the moment I read the title being one of them.
Why not MinUI?
I've yet to try out MinUI but the Analogue style would look good on here. I believe there's only certain systems it will emulate? Could be mistaken.

Interesting point! I'll try to measure some temperatures while I'm testing it
there is no crossmix for the brick yet, this is a scamm from these guys as always
