This is the type of video I’ve always wanted to see but never got, thanks guys!
Top video guys. Keep up the good work & thanks for giving us something decent to watch during these crappy times.
Great vid guys and congrats on the sponsorship. It's really something to be proud of.
My approach couldn't be more different, but I do thoroughly enjoy seeing other setups :) I only ever fish the margins and the drop-offs in lakes, so I use a set of 3 6ft Nash Scope Snides (2lb tc) with a Penn Spinfisher VI 4500 Live Liner and 2 Penn Slammer 460L Live Liners, all 3 loaded with 300 meters of 40 lb abrasion-resistant braid (with the drag always set very low, so that I don't damage the fish), and with end tackle consisting of a tungsten bead, line stopper, very short (5 cm) helicopter-style hooklink and a 1.4 ounce gripper lead that I use as a method feeder, in combination with a Nash Dwarf landing net and a thin unhooking mat that I never use because the grass at my main spot is fairly long and thick, without rocks or pebbles in it that could damage the fish. I keep the fish in the net anyway, even when unhooking them, so they have that as extra protection as well. The mat is useful to sit on when my friends come and visit me while fishing :P But keep it up, love this stuff! :)
gr8 tutorial. always exciting to see the different gears people use to target their fish
Omg how I couldn't find this one. Perfect exactly what I needed 🤩🤩✌️✌️✌️👏 thanks a lot.

Love this channel
Myself and my partner love watching your videos and we love getting out fishing when we can! I’m wondering if you could maybe explain how to set up a carp rod from the line to adding a ledger weight, the hook length and maybe hair rig? We want to carp fish but this seems to be something we struggle to figure out haha! Hope you can help thank you!
Hi Hanna, we did a simple carp rig video, it might help! Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/bjact22m6Bo/v-deo.html
FISHING TUTORIALS brill! Thank you
@@hannalouiseb No problem! Glad to have helped!
Hanna Bielby you can catch big carp on floats too with maggots, corn pellets etc carp fishing is a great sport but enjoy the simple fishing before you start camping for carp as it can be soul destroying at times
Medicated Flowers thank you, I went out yesterday and caught quite a big carp for my first try using luncheon meat. The guys by our local pond said the carp weren’t used to boilies so advised trying meat which worked a treat! Watching Carl and Alex helps with fishing so much, I enjoy float fishing and have done this for quite some time now so we’ve decided to explore with other tackle available. I’m looking forward to stretching further afield and exploring lady bower lake which is in the Peak District and stocked with carp, pike, trout and many more! Thank you for your help as always any help is always appreciated!
Keep it up lads look forward to seeing some more fishing videos Now it's opening again
Yay, I'm really looking forward to fishing again soon!
Thanks for making this video, it's really useful. I do have one question though: Could you perhaps explain what weight to choose for the Bobbins?
great video again lads ,tight lines :)
Alex great video well filmed and presented
Thanks 👍
Is there any chance you could great like a spreadsheet with some of the items you have with links etc so it's easy for us to check?
Judging by the opening scene back rod rests !! Other than that keep up the good work guys 🎣👍👍
Hi! I love your videos and this has been so useful finding just the right setup for any fishing is difficult and you solved that problem in just under 6 minutes! I just have one question: Where do you buy your leads, and what weights should you buy if fishing the same 10ft Rod and Reel combo as you?
Thanks
Thanks guys 👍
One of the most under discovered fishing channels on the whole internet
Very subjective and keep it essential ! You are not boring. I get bored at many channels, I get bored fast at others channel
Glad to hear! Thank you!
Great video keep it up
Great video mate🙏🙌
Thank you!
Guys !!, long story short...everything you do is awesome, tutorials are very clear and precise...well done and keep it real !! (Or reel !!...🙄)
Quick question...what is the model of that aqua ruck sack you showed?
Cheers lads !!👍👍
Nice helpful little Vid lads,,, bet you can’t wait to get back out on the bank 👍🏻🎣👌🏻
Absolutely!!
Excellent.
Great video guys! Can you tell me the name of the aqua backpack?
Hi Carl and Alex,I was wondering what pva material I should use on Stillwater lakes, should I use solid bags or mesh? Oliver
Hey guys. I’d be interested in seeing how you setup with slack lines with fluorocarbon main line.It seems to be used a lot on pressured waters which makes sense but can’t quite get my head around the indication side of it. Like how do you see a drop back bite for instance?
Hi, thanks for such brief yet great information packed video.
Kindly share link for purchase.
It will be easy for Anglers to buy.
Please can you do a pike fishing gear video. Also I love your videos Keep up the good work
U guys are great
All good information given again, very clear as always!.
Only niggle is that all the opportunities Nash done/helped you with, I would of thought if it was just for the plug on small 9foot rods that scopes is what you started with, so out of respect I would of added the starting of 9 foot stalkers were scopes out of pure respect. And then gone on to say but now we have moved onto rods by Diawa. I no it must be hard but remember where your routes begin in carp fishing. Fair play for doing what you do with such passion and dedication as it is your work!. And you both doing a grand job may I add. Keep it up. On goes the tin hat for the keyboard warriors 👍😁 I have no connection with Nash before the bombardment of eruption starts😉 keep safe!
Thanks Matthew, we understand where you're coming from and we will always be grateful of our friends at Nash. They are great guys! The only problem is if we'd mentioned that we previously used scope rods is that then we'd feel inclined to also mention that before scopes we used Rovex rods and before Rovex we used 30Plus rods and before that we used Mitchel. haha. :) Our roots didn't really begin in carp fishing, we roach fished using bamboo cane rods for quite a few years. Haha. ;)
@@fishingtutorials true true, don't forget that argos fishing kit! 😁 Great work and lots to look forward to very soon I'm sure. Great response, and great attitude guys as always keep it real and stay safe 👍
@@matthewcadle7200 Much love dude! You are very right about the opportunities that Nash gave us, and of course we more than re-paid them by working very hard far more than 9-5 for over 5 years!
Great video
Daiwa and Korda sales just incresed 100%
Can you do a surface fishing tutorial? Rigs baits, know it’s basic to most people but as I’m self taught as I learnt to fish in my 20,s every little helps
Great video! Maybe an idea to provide a written summary of all the equipment used in the description. And can you do one for pike fishing? Cheers from Amsterdam!
-a set of 3 x 'Daiwa 10ft Crosscast 3lb' test curve rods (shorter 10ft ones being best for more general fishing, longer 12ft rods only needed when fishing long range more than 70 yards. And on fast flowing waters.)
- 1x 'Daiwa 10ft Crosscast 3.5lb' test curve for marker/ spomming out bait.
- 'Korda Tip Safe' set for each rod to keep them held neatly and keep the tips from snapping in transit. And mean you're in less need for rod Holdalls as keeps weight down.
- 'Daiwa GS 4000' reels for the 10ft rods are light weight, loaded up with 'Korda 12lb CarpLine' (A durable monofilament mainline)
- 'Daiwa Tournament s 5000 T Big Pits' reels for the 12ft rods also loaded up with the same 'Korda 12lb CarpLine'
- 'Korda 20lb Sub-braid' sinking braided mainline loaded up on a couple of spare spools incase the need to switch if fishing towards a snag.
- 'Delkim Txi-D' bite alarms
- Korda Black and White Bobbins
- 'Korda Black Singlez' adjustable bank sticks
- 'Aqua Atom Landing Net'
- 'Korda Basix Carp Cradle' padded unhooking mat
- 'Aqua Black Series Rucksack' (small or Large)
- 'Korda Tackle Box' inside is: Korda Braided Hair needle, hooks, baits stops, lead clips, 'Dark Matter' braid,
- 'Korda Mini Box' which fits inside the tackle box which contains all the swivels and small rig components.
- 'Korda Compac' (Medium) for things likes Spoms.
- 'Korda Compac' (Small) for leads
- 'Korda Compac Air Dry Bag' if using boilies.
- 'Guru Bait Box' ideal for smaller baits like maggots, worms and ideal for PVA bag mixes
:) Thanks, glad you found it helpful!
Great video lads
Cheers!
Can you do a tutorial video on how to cast rods to the clip and spombing? I'm still quite new to fishing so my casting isn't very good!
That'll be one of our next tutorial videos!
Excellent video its going to really help me I bet u are happy that u can go fishing soon because ik I am
Thanks! Yes we are very excited to go fishing again!
@@fishingtutorials same are u going on Wednesday
Great video again. Any chance of posting a list of items in your tackle box for us to copy please if you don’t mind?
Would be good if u coukd go over what bait you use for carp fishing aswell
Bet you can't wait to get out now 👌I'm out wensday but fishing for a big bass of chesil 🤟
Yeah man, can't wait! Good luck :)
We can get back out lads Wednesday yipppeee 😁👍
Yes u can go back to the public toilets to your glory hole. Lol. Tight lines fella.
Hi guys are you off fishing on Wednesday and making a vid. Unfortunately I am vulnerable so sadly not allowed to go and catch some fish. Hope you guys are well and stay aware. Tight lines lads 🎣🎣
Sorry to hear that mate! It'll feel all the better when you are able to go fishing again! We'll be heading out next week hopefully to start filming more videos! Thanks!
@@fishingtutorials thanks for the reply stay safe 👍🎣
What makes you vulnerable?
@@joehounslow3588 I have asthma 😔
James I am vulnerable too transplant drugs, immunosuppressants and asthma. The guildlines are advisory.
If you are going to a club lake or syndicate lake with limited access you wont come into contact with anyone so you are at no greater risk than been at home.
I will have the odd trip but will wait for the rush to end.
thanks 👍
What rods did you use when fishing heavy pack bait in Dell hollow?
Going night fishing for the first time this coming Monday. As just wondering what do you use (if any) for a electric hookup? Got gas stove ect, but need something that can charge my phone and camera! What do you use? Would appreciate suggestions if possible
Hi i noticed you guys used to use the ss2600 and now use the gs4000 reels, how would you compare the two? I know they're both really popular. I use shimano dl4000 but have absoluteley no use for the baitrunner function so looking ti change. Most of my fishing is just stalking 👍
Can you do a video on boilies - frozen vs shelf life vs fresh/air dried (and how/why to dry them?) and maybe one on different boilie hook bait options?
Yeah, we'll try do a video on this in the future!
Thanks guys keep it up!
Was interested in purchasing one of those reels but a little out of my price range for someone whose just hit back into fishing after a good few years. Could you recommend any other good reels at a reasonable price?
My local pond one few that had carp.. got almost got bow fished out by 10 years ago.. I saw probably 200 spawning in one little cove.. there back even stronger ..
Just came across your videos. Very well done. Thank you! Curious if you could share what the name or brand of the "Tip Saves" you use? Thanks for the great content!
They are the Korda Tip Safes :)
Can you tell me which bank sticks your using, can't find any that screw in. Thanks guys
What is the name of the bag that you use . Great video 👍🎣
Hey chaps. I love your vids, both on this channel and the original But when I see the number of views versus the number of likes, it’s ridiculous. You need to start asking for likes and subs. You guys and the excellent vids deserve it!
Hi do you guys use sink tubing on the main line?
Hi Carl, thanks for the tips. I bought a few GS 4000 reels. I was wondering do you keep the drag as it comes? Or do have you customised to make them more “quick drag.” I’m just trying to get into Carp fishing and am not sure if the quick drag will be necessary for me. Thanks for the help!!
I have left the reels as they were when I bought them. I find quick drag conversions tricky to adjust and sometimes I over tighten by accident!
Do you air dry shelf life boilies or just frozen?
Muito top essas varas de pesca sou do Brasil como faço para adquirir esses equipamentos por aqui
Ik getting into fishing is a 2.75 lb test curve 10 ft prologic rod and a nash rod 2.75lb test curve and 10ft work well ?
Hey guys, my brother and i are quite new to fishing and we are currently looking to upgrade our angling equipment. I was wondering what brand and model your tackle boxes are?
Keep up the good work, youre amazing!
Our tackle boxes are from Korda, they are really neat bits of kit! Cheers for watching and good luck with your fishing!
May I ask, what brolly do you have? 🎣🔥👍
You should do a vidoe of wjat you recommend for people who can't afford all the biggest and best brands of gear mate
At this stage I'll be pleased to wet a line this week.
hey Carl and Alex, could you pls do a tuturial on stalking carp (what you need, rigs, etc.)
Yes we'll try to do that at some point!
@@fishingtutorials awesome ty!
I really needed a video like this. I mainly stalk carp along the bank but I've wanted to get into pond/lake fishing for them. What would you suggest for carp gear that is accessible in Canada? Thanks for this guys!
I don't really know what you guys have access to in Canada. I'm sure you can find a heavy bass rod or something which should do the trick! :)
@@fishingtutorials Sound good. Thank you!
ua-cam.com/video/3q0--_I9ahw/v-deo.html check out this guy, he's in US
Can you do an essentials for pike and perch fishing.
Nice mate
Cheers!
Korda and Daiwa sales went up 100% after this. Now I know why no one has GS's in stock :)
Hi. In 1:17 with river u was ? And where ? Looks amazing for fishing.
What’s the Best beginner fishing rod to get for relatively cheap price?
Hi guys what size compact are those?
Nice video guys.. can I just ask why you opt for 3.5lb tc instead of 4.5lb tc when spodding with a 10ft rod?
4.5lb would be better for spodding! We got the 3.5lb as it was all we could find at the time!
Carl and Alex plz see this. What landing mat should I get as I’m supposed to be joining a lake and if we can go soon I could uses some help. Could you ???
The Leeda folding mat is a good entry level mat. Cheap of Amazon.
What 10ft carp rods do you use
can you do a vido on brolly scals sling mat and bed chair ething to do a night
Hello, I am from Iraq and a subscriber to your channel. I wanted to ask what is the best taste of carp in hot weather, because as you know, the atmosphere of Iraq is very hot and the thickness of the carp is few
Do you know any cheaper alternative reels
Where can I buy that carp tackle box?
What's the brand of the tackle box that you use? Would like to have one of those. Great video.
Korda Tackle box
Why does this remind me of an aeroplane tutorial thing
I’d recommend a 6ft 3lb test curve rod for canals and stalking, more discrete and less chance of a cyclist catching your rod and light enough to carry for ages when stalking
What unhooking mat is that ?
Who reel use for Carp?
Hi guys
I search a new bait for Instant fishing. Which mainline boilies so you use?
Best wishes from north Germany
We've got Essential Cell boilies. They caught us plenty of fish last year :)
What's the name and model of the bag, boxes and bag for the bait?
