    My approach couldn't be more different, but I do thoroughly enjoy seeing other setups :) I only ever fish the margins and the drop-offs in lakes, so I use a set of 3 6ft Nash Scope Snides (2lb tc) with a Penn Spinfisher VI 4500 Live Liner and 2 Penn Slammer 460L Live Liners, all 3 loaded with 300 meters of 40 lb abrasion-resistant braid (with the drag always set very low, so that I don't damage the fish), and with end tackle consisting of a tungsten bead, line stopper, very short (5 cm) helicopter-style hooklink and a 1.4 ounce gripper lead that I use as a method feeder, in combination with a Nash Dwarf landing net and a thin unhooking mat that I never use because the grass at my main spot is fairly long and thick, without rocks or pebbles in it that could damage the fish. I keep the fish in the net anyway, even when unhooking them, so they have that as extra protection as well. The mat is useful to sit on when my friends come and visit me while fishing :P But keep it up, love this stuff! :)

      Medicated Flowers thank you, I went out yesterday and caught quite a big carp for my first try using luncheon meat. The guys by our local pond said the carp weren’t used to boilies so advised trying meat which worked a treat! Watching Carl and Alex helps with fishing so much, I enjoy float fishing and have done this for quite some time now so we’ve decided to explore with other tackle available. I’m looking forward to stretching further afield and exploring lady bower lake which is in the Peak District and stocked with carp, pike, trout and many more! Thank you for your help as always any help is always appreciated!

    All good information given again, very clear as always!.
    Only niggle is that all the opportunities Nash done/helped you with, I would of thought if it was just for the plug on small 9foot rods that scopes is what you started with, so out of respect I would of added the starting of 9 foot stalkers were scopes out of pure respect. And then gone on to say but now we have moved onto rods by Diawa. I no it must be hard but remember where your routes begin in carp fishing. Fair play for doing what you do with such passion and dedication as it is your work!. And you both doing a grand job may I add. Keep it up. On goes the tin hat for the keyboard warriors 👍😁 I have no connection with Nash before the bombardment of eruption starts😉 keep safe!

    • @fishingtutorials
      @fishingtutorials  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks Matthew, we understand where you're coming from and we will always be grateful of our friends at Nash. They are great guys! The only problem is if we'd mentioned that we previously used scope rods is that then we'd feel inclined to also mention that before scopes we used Rovex rods and before Rovex we used 30Plus rods and before that we used Mitchel. haha. :) Our roots didn't really begin in carp fishing, we roach fished using bamboo cane rods for quite a few years. Haha. ;)

      -a set of 3 x 'Daiwa 10ft Crosscast 3lb' test curve rods (shorter 10ft ones being best for more general fishing, longer 12ft rods only needed when fishing long range more than 70 yards. And on fast flowing waters.)
      - 1x 'Daiwa 10ft Crosscast 3.5lb' test curve for marker/ spomming out bait.
      - 'Korda Tip Safe' set for each rod to keep them held neatly and keep the tips from snapping in transit. And mean you're in less need for rod Holdalls as keeps weight down.
      - 'Daiwa GS 4000' reels for the 10ft rods are light weight, loaded up with 'Korda 12lb CarpLine' (A durable monofilament mainline)
      - 'Daiwa Tournament s 5000 T Big Pits' reels for the 12ft rods also loaded up with the same 'Korda 12lb CarpLine'
      - 'Korda 20lb Sub-braid' sinking braided mainline loaded up on a couple of spare spools incase the need to switch if fishing towards a snag.
      - 'Delkim Txi-D' bite alarms
      - Korda Black and White Bobbins
      - 'Korda Black Singlez' adjustable bank sticks
      - 'Aqua Atom Landing Net'
      - 'Korda Basix Carp Cradle' padded unhooking mat
      - 'Aqua Black Series Rucksack' (small or Large)
      - 'Korda Tackle Box' inside is: Korda Braided Hair needle, hooks, baits stops, lead clips, 'Dark Matter' braid,
      - 'Korda Mini Box' which fits inside the tackle box which contains all the swivels and small rig components.
      - 'Korda Compac' (Medium) for things likes Spoms.
      - 'Korda Compac' (Small) for leads
      - 'Korda Compac Air Dry Bag' if using boilies.
      - 'Guru Bait Box' ideal for smaller baits like maggots, worms and ideal for PVA bag mixes
      :) Thanks, glad you found it helpful!

      @@alexhughesuk We'd love to do that, but we are already so busy trying to keep our channel going! It takes so much time to film and edit the videos that we don't really have much time to do other stuff! haha Hope you understand!

      @@fishingtutorials lol of course I understand. Alex & Carl I like many others love your videos, the production values are through the roof it shows in each and everyone of your videos how much effort goes into them. I think if I had to pick a favourite the one to the Ebro Safari in Spain, awesome footage and editing. keep up the great work and congratulations on the well deserved recognition and sponsorship. Tight lines gents 👍

    Nice video guys.. can I just ask why you opt for 3.5lb tc instead of 4.5lb tc when spodding with a 10ft rod?

    • @fishingtutorials
      @fishingtutorials  4 роки тому +1

      4.5lb would be better for spodding! We got the 3.5lb as it was all we could find at the time!
