- Week seven at the remodel house. This week we worked on painting the inside using the Graco ProX17 airless paint sprayer. Once again the ProX17 has come through with flying colors!

I like sprayers for outdoor surfaces and rollers for indoor walls and ceilings. I like the control you get with rollers and brushes.
I could see that as a good approach. My current thinking is:
1. Spray all outside surfaces except in complicated areas.
2. Spray the ceilings
3. Spray the walls from floor to about 2 feet short of ceiling and then have a second person follow right behind with a roller. So basically the sprayer is just getting the paint on the wall and the roller gives it the better texture plus gets close to the edge. Then cut it in with a brush.
Well see how that strategy goes next time around...

It looks really nice. You nailed why I don't like those sprayers, multiple color schemes are a bitc# lol, I used about 5 colors in my living room, all earth tones, but most people don't notice.
I think if you have multiple colors or a lot of things to go around then the sprayer is not going to be a good choice. Thanks!

Hey Dan, I have saved about $9,000 so far and that includes the cost of the sprayer and all the extra's that go with it. I plan to paint my own house this fall and save another $15k or so. Its definitely paying off! :)
