Wow man how much of a pain was it really to move that beast, im ready to buy and im contemplating getting the 280g instead for the weight difference alone. And my stand is 36" not sure i would like 30" tall tank
There is nothing wrong with the one fish only behemoth tank. You're proving that we fish keepers must always be prepared/responsible when housing larger sized pets. I'm so thrilled that you showed the willingness to do just that👍🏾.
I love the New Aquarium. Simplicity is beautiful. That beautiful fish now has a huge grin on his cute face. Steve, thank you for sharing and, congratulations! 👍
Finally ! A large tank for a big fish. If he was able to speak he would thank you every morning. Nice tank, nice layout, not empty at all. The only missing part could be a ... tankmate?
I think it looks amazing. The Umbee looks very happy and very spoiled. I would rather watch a beautiful fish like that swim freely than scape a monster Cichlid. The point of the larger tank was to provide more room for the fish, not to make room for a monster rock and huge piece of wood. Great job Steve, awesome way to relax after a long day.
Nice job looks good .Imagine my glass 375gallon was siliconed to its stand i had no clue until i went to purchase it (2nd hand) me and 2 guys moved it into my mobile home we had to remove part of the door frame to get it in my house but totally worth it
I know this is 5yrs ago but a nice trick for sand removal is using a dustpan with a rubber edge. Also, because you have FX6 filters and now a sump. What’s your opinion on the twin fx6 vs sump? Pros and cons
Wow that's has to be 1 of the most beautiful tanks I've seen.i have a 240 with pacus, oscars, just lots of fish. But my tank is 8by2by2 i love it but wish it was taller now i know thanks
Looks amazing. Nice to see that Umbees swim all levels so it doesn’t feel like a waste of a taller tank. I’d really like to see the plumbing. I’d like to do what you are doing but I can’t seem to keep the siphon for draining my tank.
Nice job! I just picked up a 240 acrylic tank. Thinking about one Male jaguar cichlid or one red terror Male, maby a single female black umbee, or a beani. Decisions decisions lol The umbee looks sweet in a 300.
Love this style of tank. Makes the fish seam majestic amongst the black. This is my dream tank but with peacock bass so will save these build videos. If you don't mind what's a tank like this run $$$$
They ppl really lifted that much big aquarium with ease. Mine 220 gallon was a chllange for all the people who asissted me at that time during installation.
@@StevePolandAquatics thanks allt for the reply, another quick question what are the dept and lenght dimensions with the trim. Im guessing is about 97" long?maybe 25" deep? Thanks again, i would like to built my own stand and save some money that way
That turned out awesome, great job, I’m jealous. I bet you could throw a dozen convicts in there as dither fish, as long as the umbee doesn’t go crazy and try to eat them lol.
Thanks for convincing me to never consider a glass tank anywhere near that big, although it is quite beautiful and your fish looks nice. I have roughly 20 tilapia in a roughly 500 gallon pond that I need to move or eat or some of both. The ratio of move to eat is the question. I have considered moving the 4x 140 gallon stock tanks inside but am leaning towards using my existing hot tub for the darker color tilapia and two of the black stock tanks for the lighter tilapia. Then, trying to generate heat for both with solar and wood from my barrel stove with some kind of thermo convection loop. Then insulate the heck out of all of this with that pink poly 2" stuff on the ground x 2 = 4" and all around too. The hot tub is insulated so there is that. Then cover with more of the same. I got electric heaters too and probably get the big bite the bullet bill maybe when the snow covers the pink foam I get the igloo effect. And, I have no crew this is all me and moving it all in my van from one location to another. Wish me luck.
Dude I’m telling u if I had to keep one fish for such a big tank it has to be the Arowana but I know for sure the choices we have is keep more then one. I have 110L overcrowded already
Man that's a nice tank... I'm thinking about getting me some driftwood for the 65gallon tank I'm looking to upgrade to. Where is a good place to get some and do u prefer to have white sand over black sand in you're tanks? Another question.. I want to build me a tank stand and what measurements should I use for a stand to fit a 65-90gal a upright tank so I can place a canister filter under it
Beautiful tank, could you tell me what kind and brand of paint you used for the background? Cause your painted background looks better than others I've seen painted the same color.
Awesome tank and beautiful fish. Particularly for the lighting and black background, it seems an actor on stage! Which kind of fish is it? Chiclasoma? Thank

Steve Poland Aquatics: Would you like to live your life all alone?

I really like what you did with the lighting and the black background. Makes it appear the tank has a lot more depth and really shows off the fish.
I love the simple scape and look as it places focus on the fish. Similar concept I used with my discus tank. Sometimes less is more 😉👍
I love the New Aquarium.
Simplicity is beautiful.
That beautiful fish now has a huge grin on his cute face.
Steve, thank you for sharing and, congratulations! 👍
Lot of work , but definitely worth it ... Beautiful fish .... Love it , Thanks for sharing

The fish looks happy 👍🏻😊
Super Clean, love seeing big open space for fish to swim.
One day I will have one just like your tank looks awesome 👏🏽
He looks epic in there!
The tank is perfect. Very lucky and well cared for cichlid👍🏽

the fish looks really happy with all of his space :D
Amazing just Amazing .. thank you for the the upload...

Thanks man, really appreciate it. See you soon!
The one fish loom is awesome! Most importantly it's what you like!
Wow good job it looks awesome!! I just wana watch that beauty all day 😍
I agree. More swimming space is better than decor.
Great video! 📹 👍 🎬 Thanks!
Wow that is a beautiful fish and an awesome tank you have there
The tank looks amazing👌
I like it. It's a cool fish indeed. And happy with all that room. I have a 125 with only 3 fish. I dont like overstocked tanks.
Congrats on that new tank! Sure wish my wifey would offer me a room for a 200 gallon long aswell...
That is one happy fish😀🐟
Looks beautiful bro. Enjoy

Great job , such a beautiful setup and fish.
Love the series of video and appreciate all your hard work.
Thanks!
Beautiful and simple
Beautiful. Im trying to get my hands on a 300 right now.
Tank alone is $2800 , what a joke. You can get some similar for a 1/3 of the cost.
@@vauv_nuvj7614 You get what you pay for
Looks great, what type of cichlid is that? What are the measures for this tank?
It’s an umbee. Tank is 96x24x30
Great home for fish. Nice job Steve.

That's awesome, a very big tank for just 1 beautiful fish
Congrats Steve! Looks awesome man. Im sure you're relieved to have the whole process done lol
Very nice Steve looks great
Thanks Chad
Hey man what are those things that you sticked onto the glass to carry it ? And were did you get them?
Looks fabulous!
At long last, a low maintenance tank for a big fish.
Nice and simple.
That's really beautiful..
I like the one fish tank idea. 👍
Looks amazing. Nice to see that Umbees swim all levels so it doesn’t feel like a waste of a taller tank. I’d really like to see the plumbing. I’d like to do what you are doing but I can’t seem to keep the siphon for draining my tank.

Thanks Joe!
Looks great,I just picked up a 300 myself different dimensions though 6x3x27...I sent out the link so some fish guys in town good luck with selling!
Thanks man, appreciate it.

Big Boy Tank 💰👌🏼
Man! That looks really cool! Cheers!
Looks awesome Steve
Very nice!
What are the suction thing your using to lift the tank
Tank turned out amazing! What light are you using? Love the shadow effect

We just moved my new 220g and omg I had a heart attack the entire time. Maybe they know their being video taped and held it all in. Lol.
just amazing. love it
Where did you get the suction cups, did they come with the tank?
I rented them from Custom Aquariums
@@StevePolandAquatics thanks allt for the reply, another quick question what are the dept and lenght dimensions with the trim. Im guessing is about 97" long?maybe 25" deep? Thanks again, i would like to built my own stand and save some money that way
Did you have any detectable ammonia spikes during the process?
No, I kept the cycled media going the whole time.
its beautiful
Beautiful
I like the one fish concept but I personally would go with a shark I think that would be sick but much respect on your setup it's beautiful 💪🏽
Great work!!! Awesome video!!!
BEAUTIFUL
I have a question my aquarium is to high to fit in my SUV but it fit on its side is that ok
That turned out awesome, great job, I’m jealous. I bet you could throw a dozen convicts in there as dither fish, as long as the umbee doesn’t go crazy and try to eat them lol.
Love it brother
Looks awesome!
Think it looks great Steve! I was slightly surprised just for one fish, but I'd do the same for one I loved a lot.

did you get rid of the 220 tank yet?
Dude I’m telling u if I had to keep one fish for such a big tank it has to be the Arowana but I know for sure the choices we have is keep more then one. I have 110L overcrowded already
I also favored one pet fish treating him like a water-dog and did so much for him, but when he passed away it wasn't fun.
Do you still have your old tank ? Is it for sale ?

Substrate looks great, I really thought it would look darker. I may have missed it, but what lighting do you have on the tank?
Very cool
Thanks again for your help man!
@@StevePolandAquatics anytime had a blast
Awesome!
Awesome dude!
Thanks again dude!
How are the oxygen levels? I found with a sump and low surface agitation the oxygen levels sometimes lower.
Seems to be fine
the second stand is more structurally sound, I've always been skeptical about pine stand, especially for a 220.
Beautiful tank, could you tell me what kind and brand of paint you used for the background? Cause your painted background looks better than others I've seen painted the same color.
It's sherwin williams tricorn black.
Is hose water good for aquariums when filling it?
You mean tap water?
Dude all that for one fish. You must really love that fish
Awesome tank and beautiful fish. Particularly for the lighting and black background, it seems an actor on stage! Which kind of fish is it? Chiclasoma? Thank
He’s a wild caught umbee
Is it possible to rent the handles without purchasing a tank?
I have a 720 acrylic i feel these would make so much easier to move
I’m not sure. You could always give them a call and ask.
Nice!!
Beautiful tank. Looks amazing💦
@4:07 you should've moved that dog cage it seems like it got much in the way for this process
How much did this cost?
what are the dimensions of the tank?
Did you find local people to help?
What’s the size of your tank please tell me bcoz it looking so beauti
What’s the highet,width,and length?
96” x 30” x 24”
You should of put the two tanks side by side to see the difference
What Are The Dimensions Of That Tank??
Nice
Steve, the 300 looks great. Is it 30”deep? Your umbee is a beautiful fish. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build. Great job.
Thanks! Yes it’s 30” deep
Haha he actually has a smile on his face
Cool tank, dimensions of the tank please?
