2:54 where can I find good silicone like that? I need to reseal my whole 150 gallon aquarium from strach bc of a leak tank size: 4foot by 2ft by 30inches
No matter how many UA-camrs “hang out” at Custom Aquariums, I’ll never tire of seeing their warehouse operations. You sir have just served me up another hefty slice of happy pie😀 with this upload. I cannot wait to see your behemoth aquarium and to eventually order one of my own! Oh Steve, patience is a virtue for which I’m sorely lacking🙃.
Man! This is freaking awesome!! I think I saw less than 5 staffs! They made it look so easy and calm. Those equipments and machines are brilliant!! Wow! I am impressed💙
Thank you for sharing this video...it was nice for Custom Aquariums to allow this tour...it was good to see the hardwork they put in to make what we call it as a Glass Box .....i subbed.
I’ve been thinking about posting an extended version. Most people would have gotten bored if this had been longer but I also know that some people would love a long version.
I work at a glass company and see this every day lol. In the process of building a 90 gallon tank at home right now. I like the trim that they use on their tanks being aluminum rather the plastic
your comment about drilling the holes was pretty funny! we cracked a 240 gallon trying it, then wound up with a Custom Aquarium tank ourselves.. neat place
@@StevePolandAquatics Because for some weird reason my back began to ache while watching your video. Then when i saw your name on the crate, the spasms started...lol.
Why do must of your glass tanks in the states have those frames top and buttom? Is thicker glass so expensive or why you need to rely on them for reinforcement?
What are average costs for salt water tank set ups... I would like to build a large tank for a restaurant has to be wide and long but height should be managable for reaching in and grabbing orders
I tell you,I've known for years mega tanks are the most fun. What I always hoped for?..that you could one day buy a tank the size of a room for a few hundred dollars..and spend the big money on fish and all the rest. Are we ever going to see a breakthrough on affordable BIG aquariums?..some super substance that is strong clear and cheap but reliable, to manufacture? One day I hope.
I see that they use some kind of tiny round small packing between the two glass when they silicone. (2:54). I suppose this allows a thicker silicone seal where the two ends meet which results in a stronger bond.
It's a bump on.... Same sort of thing under glass on dining table tops, join can't be to big though or it isn't as structural strength wise.... Silicone has to much stretch.... Wish our company had a air table.... Shifting 10mm glass without air under it is hot work!
i wish you can make a video on how ADA aquariums are made. they are so clean at the seams, they look like no silicone is used. they also use low-iron super clear glass.
Awesome & comical. Why funny? I sat down thinking of a better way to construct tanks and came across this and it's exactly what I decided was the best option. I'm not talking the machinery involved or tech but the end product. Because of the tech and machinery involved it's faster to produce than without it but can be done requiring patients and the question for anyone accepting the challenge to make such a tank is do you want one that won't blow apart or be ok with that. No, it's not affordable for the average fish keeper to purchase or maintaining it. One huge tank being filtered, heated, etc, is comparible to the expense of a moderate fish store expense in utility costs. That said, this is the way to build a tank aside from some one piece injected acrylic system involving the complexity of a custom mold and any one piece bottom and sides will still require bracing. How did I mentally come to the same idea being produced here? I used to be a glazer and worker with glass and metal frames.
I wish we have like this in my country because what i want always in my tank is custom size. And its hard for a manual builder sometimes to cut thick glass

I have retired from the aquarium trade with over 20 years in the aquarium business. This operation is VERY impressive!
Whats the best silicone sir??
How can you match the glass edges? With what kind of glue or with what else way? Or silicone is just the answer as usual?
These people have a really cool business and clearly they do a great job! Thanks for sharing the video.

I love their job.
What are the largest dimensions you can accommodate?
WAHOU !!! Bravo ... 👏👏👏

Do you know what spacer they used at the bottom to be able to inject the silicon?
Amazing Video Steve! Thanks for sharing! One question: Which silicone are they using to make the aquariums?
I think they would prefer that I not share that info
ASI aquarium silicone and they use the black variant.
Why do must of your glass tanks in the states have those frames top and buttom? Is thicker glass so expensive or why you need to rely on them for reinforcement?
God damn those big tanks look amazing!! Some day I will have the space to get one. Looking forward to following yours. Keep it real! 😀

please help me. my 4ft 80gallon tank just burst on the side randomly. could this be because of the wooden floor and not having foam pad underneath
How much does the 200 gallon aquarium cost? Measures 200cm x 60 x 60 approximately.
Max do Embate if you go on their website it will say but probably $10 000
Thankyou for sharing this video. Please tell me what type of the light in 3:18''. Thanks again!
Wish it was like the Nestle tour and you got free samples at the end.
Hahaha
A big dodd of silicon in your hand.
Lol
I done some contract work at a Nestle plant several years ago and never got any samples of anything. They ripped me off.
Is it possible to construct 4×4×8 ft aquarium at home
And how much thickness we need???
35mm would be ideal, but you need to install supports and brace too for a strong tank. Also the selection of silicone is very important.
which video brother the best thanks a question that glue use and where you can buy and what is the name
My dream house will include a nice custom made aquarium just like this .
excellent jobs.... good luck & sell those by millions.... made in USA.
Great video!!! Thank you.
Super!
