Spotlight: La Sportiva - Kubo

Neatly coinciding with the reopening of climbing walls in the UK, La Sportiva are releasing the new Kubo; a shoe aimed at indoor climbers. Using the classic Katana as a starting point, La Sportiva have made several changes to suit those smeary volumes and small edges. There's a men's and women's version with a different type of rubber on each.

Anyone care to offer sizing advice on the Kubo? 44 LS Finale is unlined and broke in to a great fit. 44 1/2 LS Katana lace has always been a bit small and got downright uncomfortable after a resole.

I wish I could help, but unfortunate I haven’t used the Kubo - or the Finale. It could be worth posting on our Forums, as I suspect someone there would be able to help (and that you’d get a pretty rapid response).

I've been using the kubos for a while now, my street size is 44 and my kubo is in 41. It was a painful break in and it's still uncomfortable but I feel that they are about to fit just right for performance. I think 42 would have been really comfortable and 43 would have likely been oversized. 1.5 to 3 sizes down and you should be good. Comfort to performance fit.
