Very good restoration, but I would have done two things different: I would have added a third pin and grounded it. And I would have encapsuled the two wires inside with those small ceramic rings. That would make it more safe to use, I think.
Very cool restoration you did a great job! Also love that you matched to the original colours especially the feet of the stove! Great video! Love from London ☺️
Nice job. Being a restorer and electrical engineer myself and if I was going to use it regularly, I would have added two things for safety. 1, High temperature insulating sleeving for the wires under the ceramic plate and 2, Electrical safety earth (ground) connection to the body of the unit.
Stuart Russell thank you :) there is also a isolation missing at the corners to the ceramic, its in general risky to use this hot plate. as mentioned before - I had a Arthur Spooner moment 😄
Skoalonguys67 yeah i do love it, and I am still learning a lot! looking forward when the flea market open again where all the rusty stuff waits to get back to life 😂
Flex030 thank you - and also thank you for the feedback, we try to find the perfect balance between chilling and rewarding restoration videos, maybe this was to chill 😅

Great work! Spectacular, interesting to watch the action! How long did it take to make this work of art? Good luck to your channel! I recommend everyone to watch!!!!
Lack of finish on the heating coil, you should have redress the helicoidal shape before put it in the ceramic, Also for the metal parts it's just sandblasting and repaint, no restoration at all, anyway, keep improve
huntin4life thank you! in Germanywe have the possibility to achieve a master craftsman's diploma in different professions - which I do have, that means I learned what I am doing, even if this is the first time using my knowledge

Billy Wylie Thank you for your feedback. The goal of the videos is basically not to be hectic and rather calming. We are still trying to find the perfect balance between the unexcited and the right speed.
What? Sauerkraut is eaten hot? I always thought it was more like pickles, a marinated thing that is served in addition or as a side and is always cold. Huh.
@@ForgottenShineRestoration Well then you were RVing a parking lot, not actually camping. Try the real thing out in the woods sometime, away from the modern conveniences. Completely different experience.
Well.... if the camp site has facilities - electrical supplies/he brings a petrol/diesel generator with him or a 12v > 240v, 30amp, 3000w inverter to power it off a car battery.
Восстановить старую электроплиту это не каждый сможет сделать на это нужн талант и терпения мне ваши видео нравится мне они даже настроение поднимают.
Большое спасибо! 🐢
The way that you do these things is amazing

Such a stereotypical german meal lol. Nice work on the cooker but double thumbs up on cooking the meal afterwards 👍🏽😀👍🏽
You made the most German meal ever.
İsmail Hakkı Alp Solak we thought about - we want to send little hints where we are from - but ok thats as obvious as it can be 🤣

Good restoration work.
I often go camping too, and always bring my electric hotplate just in case there happens to be a power supply in the woods.
Danimal Von thank you, while these times I only camp inside my house, in my bed, and making sausages and sauerkraut next to my bed :)
Gruß!

Pensei que porcelana em aquecimento fosse algo moderno. Vocês estão avançados ou quem era dono..
Very convenient little heating device for lunch room, before the use of the microwave oven. Only set back was no off switch, otherwise awesome.
Lindo trabalho
I love your videos, i like to watch them while eating a snack or doing my homework
Could you pls. tell me we I can get that kind of plug? I have vinatge or antiqe electric kettle and would like to use it.
Big potential. I had to watch this at 2x speed and still it was too slow.. At least you don't have music in the video.
Good very good 👏👏🌹🍀🍀

Nice, is this for people who go camping and carry a generator ?
Some 000 steel wool would work well for the fine sanding.
What a turnout! Smashed it!

Сделать поверхность шероховатой, чтобы следующий слой краски держался лучше

What? Sauerkraut is eaten hot? I always thought it was more like pickles, a marinated thing that is served in addition or as a side and is always cold. Huh.
So in Germany, it's eaten warm 😁🐢
A camping hotplate? Where are you going to plug it in? Trees don't have outlets.
Maxwell Edison not sure where you go camping, but where I was there were most of the time outlets... we are not in Lord of the Rings
@@ForgottenShineRestoration Well then you were RVing a parking lot, not actually camping. Try the real thing out in the woods sometime, away from the modern conveniences. Completely different experience.
Maxwell Edison OK, I'll give it a try - thought about kayaking in sweden where you can camp anywhere - kind of an adventure
@@ForgottenShineRestoration Glad to hear it. You'll have the best experience if you only bring what you can carry on your back, so pack carefully.
