I was so disappointed how some of the jokes seemed to fall flat on that audience! I laughed a whole lot. Fantastic trick.
I think he does that on purpose. He plays off of there lack of applause. And it really adds to his act.

Society now days has become boring a dull. Theyd rather stare at fb Instagram and Twitter than be engaged in something happening right infront of their face. They can't even watch the show without the phone in their face recording it. They will actually watch the show through their phone. 😂
As far as jokes go, it's like they don't get it. They're good jokes, but it's like they're afraid to laugh or EVERYjoke just isn't funny to anyone anymore unless it's a racial or offensive one. Then they'll bust a gut laughing at the misfortune of others.
It looks like a corporate show which means of a joke is made they won’t laugh until the boss laughs

Even if the trick remains the same, the showmanship and charisma of this guy, seriously!
How come I keep watching the same guy do the same trick every day and I'm still not bored of it yet?
He knows how to work a room
THIS is a magic *act* as opposed to a magic trick. There is just so much witty comedy here, that I forget to even look for how the trick is done, I'm just enjoying myself. This is how all magic should be, showmanship is the key to a great act. Not one person ever looked away or checked their phone or watch, they were entranced from the first moment. You also can't tell where this is going at any point, you want to see how it ends just like a good book. Really fantastic job, I'm impressed.

I keep coming back to watch this because as Oscar Wilde once said, a book that's not worth reading twice is not worth reading once. This is worth watching 10 times (or more?) so it must be damned good.

You could teach me every secret and trick there is to magic, but I will never not be amazed at this. The fruit gets me every time.
I love when magicians try to explain how they are doing a trick and then proceed to break every logical explanation that they just made to the audience. Great work!
The best part of rewatching this is that no matter how many times you see it, or how thoroughly you know the trick, it never takes away from the rewatch value. Always entertaining

Alright we all know you're a great magician but it takes a lot to be a great comedian as well, keep being awesome man.
The thing I love about magic tricks, is everyone knows they're tricks. But the Magic comes from geniuses like Hannibal making us forget it's a trick :) I just absolutely love it.
In each video you can see that is the issue with Pen&Teller auditions that Hannibal had. He really needs real curious people around. And I suppose in auditions it is big issue, as people are frequently hired, lot of them are super tired from long takes, lot of amateurs who apply, various commands of producers and they are not properly warmed up (they are, but not by performer).
As he is not "just another magician", he knows how to deal with people, he is preparing them and deliver astonishing performance keeping them happy each second.
Tricks are mostly long known, but it is not the single point of the performance.
This guys are looking for an good shiny original and unusual V16 engine, but engine can't deliver you from A to B, only whole car can.
On such shows they are providing (or failing to provide) all other parts and tightly control them, like AGT that lately turned into mostly staged cuts, faked items, secret preparations and TV tricks.
With Hannibal if you look on 3 different versions of this cups tricks - this, bar and front camera close you can see that all of them are performed technically differently in lot of parts. And this is real mastery.

I've watched you do this routine multiple times (I've lost count) via UA-cam. You are really good. I keep telling my friends that it isn't about the sleight of hand (which is at least as good as any I've seen anywhere). It's about the story. The patois. It lifts your routine above and beyond. Thank you man, you are something else.
1:42 I think that audience missed that little bit: right after mister Hannibal says "solid empty" he shows the stick, well, sticking out of the cup

Incredibly well rehearsed and tight set with full commitment and strong pacing. Ignoring the great magic sleight of hand this from a showman perspective is someone who has put hundreds of hours to their craft. Respect

Ugh I wish I was as good at presenting magic as you are. It's hard to know what to say in the moment when the audience talks or does something off script. I get extremely nervous and red in the face too 😔. However, magic keeps me coming back for more, I can't stop no matter how difficult it is to perform; now that's love.

Third most impressive cup and ball act I've ever seen (the fruit's a nice finisher, but I saw someone use a canteloupe once), but nobody comes close to Hannibal's showmanship.

I must say that when I saw this trick the first time, I had a feeling I figured it out, but then came the part with fruit. And I just gave up on analyzing. I love this trick, as well as others. I just think "magic" is beyond me.

@@bjorndewinter Absolutely. Smooth as ever. Yes, you can figure out just how it's done, but how exactly he achieves this and is so smooth about it? That's not really understood by me. Obviously it's practice and hard work, but the way the trick is presented to you, you feel as if you never wish to figure it all out.

As im watching this i could see how the lime and the orange were put in and I can tell you that he is really fast and he can always grab the audience attention and make them focus on the ball.

Even watching some of your acts twice (with different audiences etc.) does not seem to bore me. I hope the future holds even more success and appreciation (because I truly feel you are very underrated) for you! Your rapport with the audiences, your stories and, of course, the meticulous execution of your tricks (which, even if I do know how the trick works, still perplexes me!) are truly amazing. I hope this message reaches you. Even though I will (probably) never get to see you live (I am from the Netherlands), these videos show me a glimpse of your wonderful performances! Thank you. :)
