你好久没有更新了。。期待@!
i heard traveling to Xinjinag is a lot of hustle and danger because of the CCP's tight rein on tourists fromt eh West..no?
Don't look like China at all.... more like Samarkand
How is xinjing nowadays dude?
I like ur video thanks.
Thank you for showing the world a non-demonized picture of China's Xinjiang.
@Persian carpet I have no idea what are you talking about. People gets better life than 2016. Last year, Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, had built the first subway.
@Persian carpet And would you pls use your brain? There are 20 million people in Xinjiang and half is Uyghur, about 10 millions. And you say millions are in camps? How? If you say thousands or ten thousands, I may believe but millions, no.
@Persian carpet You know nothing about Xinjiang. If you really want to know, you should visit by youself rather than listen to the west media. Xinjiang is getting much better and developed under the support of China. It is a beautiful and peaceful place
@@yangyun4412 maybe for the han chinese...
@@lena.lk9817 China is surpassing the shady USA! You can't stop it! Get over it!
My mind was just blown. Recently I traveled to Beijing, Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Guilin. Wow - I must visit Xinjiang and Tibet one day.
I hope you get a chance to! Thanks for watching and commenting 😀
I’m from a small city called kuitun in Xinjiang. But I’m so glad to see you showing the beautiful things made of my hometown.
Thank you so much
You def learn something new everyday. I honestly had no idea places like this existed in China. Looks incredible and thank you for showing a new side to china.
+Four Dirty Feet My pleasure! Thanks so much for the comment!
Four Dirty Feet inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Tibet, Shangri-la are all parts of China, China is a nation with extremely rich culture and long history, even most Chinese people can't possibly know all about it.
Thank you from your introduction of my homeland, to be honest, Xinjiang is way better, and hope you keep discovering it!
Thank you! It's a wonderful place to live ;)
Nigel1048 The world is never shorts of brainless people like you.
Nigel1048 Any evidence?
Nigel1048 A China-hater's words:
Well, I have never been to China, Xinjiang, (by the way, Xinjiang is a mandarin word) but I know them very well. For example, I know there some Chinese dishes like "the General Tso's Chicken"(In fact it's not a Chinese dish at all). I don't like China and Chinese, I hate them, so I have to find some "evidence" to against them. I dont care about whether these "evidence" are true or not, I just care about if they can work. I like negative news from China because they can make me feel "well, I'm better than Chinese" and forget my terrible real life . Here's my logic: All the opposite words must from Chinese who have been brainwashed by evil CCP, and all the words that against China are pro-democracy and pro-freedom. I 'm such a irrational and ignorance person, I just hate China.
@Stark Industries those are narratives pushed by the US government and also by Falun Gong cult group in New York. Most are not true and made up
Thank you for sharing images from my motherland - I'll definitely be back to my land.👍🏽❤️
this is my country and you showing around made me happy and i appreciate it
This is so cool! I live in China too and I can never get over how big and diverse it is! I've really wanted to explore beyond the east coast. Thanks so much for sharing :)
+TheTravelBugBite My pleasure! You should make your way out west sometime. It's worth the effort ;)
Great video, congratulations. It's a dream of mine to get one day to Kashgar and travel up and down the Karakorum highway starting from Islamabad. I intend to watch all of your videos, I finally found someone who understands! Congratulations again, good job!
It was fantastic to see a part of China that so few people film or photograph! I have heard people talk of what a hidden gem that part of the country is but you so rarely see videos about it. :)
+The Lost Lemurian Thanks! It's crazy for me to consider that this region makes up 1/6th of China's land area and yet so few people know about it!
Great guide. Love how you've filmed and put it together. So much great information and really makes us want to visit.
Thanks! I hope you have a chance to come out here in the future.
Actually I was from there. Kashgar. And there's more scenery worth trying. I can tell. 😁
Absolutely! Glad you were able to enjoy Kashgar.
thanks to introduce my home town its so amazing to see my hometown i love my hometown
My pleasure! I love traveling to Kashgar as well - beautiful area.
Xinjiang always intrigued me as a kid, especially Kashgar and Khotan. Seems that it's quite unknown to most people outside China, but it's cool because it's still looked quite authentic.
It's a fascinating place to visit, that's for sure!
Awesome insights into a beautiful place. Western media can learn much from your knowledge and affection for Xinjiang province.
Wow, i'd never even heard of Kashgar. As someone with a background in broadcasting, were you ever on-air? Great voice! So much awesome info about the bazaars and the camel thing you recommended at the end, has my name written all over it. If you have a minute, i'm curious how this region of China differs from other areas, as the people didn't look what I consider classical "Chinese", with paler skin and such.
+Here Be Barr Hey Jon! Thanks for stopping by :) I appreciate the kind words. This region is definitely unique. I usually tell people that I live in Central Asia instead of China, because the stereotype that pops into people's heads for the former is more correct. It's a Turkic ethnic group known as the "Uyghur" that make up about 80% of the population in this particular area. Very cool culture to experience - I think you'd really enjoy it.
Kashgar is a very beautiful and historical city i like kashgar and the people of kashgar
I honestly don't understand why this channel has not gotten more subs, given the quality of the videos.
Thanks, but that's just the way it is. I'm fine with it.
Low subs. no. is because the word China is in the channel's title. Most from the developed world are brainwashed about China, courtesy of Western propaganda, and shun all content related to it.
Excellent video, Josh, as usual! Another nearby location that's well worth visiting - especially since it's only a day trip - is Yapchan, a small town outside Kashgar that was well-known for having camels for sale at the livestock portion of their bazaar, which was every Tuesday when I lived in Kashgar.
Yup...great place. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for introducing Xinjiang province, china to all around the world. the first video I saw is you were in CCTV 9 English program I suppose, which is 8 mins short interview followed by your incredible song " Tomorrow". I was impressed, to be honest, I had never seen such a video or program like this initiate the real facts and many interesting things in Xinjiang. Moreover, I started subscribing this program, I have to say, this is really reminded me of home.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy it and I hope you enjoy the videos I have planned for this year as well ;)
Sir do you have any video of Kashgar or Tashkurgan 80s and 90s video i love to see I was there in that time I was 22 now 56 i will be thankful to you
I loved the look of the Mosque but of all those things, for me top of the list would have to be the Bazaar. I love the interaction with locals, as well as being able to see and smell what is on offer.
+TheHairyGamer I agree, the bazaar is a highlight but I'm also very attracted to the area's Silk Road history. :)
another outstanding video! thank you! how many days do you recommend? can I get it done most sites done in 2 and a half days? thank you
Cool guide! It was so informative. the bazaar looks interesting. i like all the historical buildings. Did you do the research before going to the locations?
I'm here because of Trevor James Food Ranger!
Awesome! Thanks for stopping by and watching! It was a lot of fun to meet Trevor while he was traveling around Xinjiang.
Great videos, very informative! Just subscribed!
+Ad Kh Great! Thanks for subscribing :)
I have been to 40 countries but never got chance to go kashkar , next time when I back home to xinjiang I will definitely go kashkar , thanks for the video
You should! It will be worth your time.
Whoa - I had no idea mosques/Muslims were in China. Really interesting and those landscapes at the end are breathtaking!
+mirambling Thanks! Glad you enjoyed :)
Thank you for sharing...an interesting region to visit in China
Awesome video, Allot of information! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by!
I have not been to Xinjiang. Is looks so beautiful
It's a unique place in China, that's for sure.
Wow that fast sequence through the small streets is awesome! How did you manage that? Whenever I tried a similar thing, the footage was way too shaky because of the steps I take, no matter how much I try to keep my camera stable :(
+Elizabeth Travels I use a stabilized camera for shots like that. This particular shoot I used a DJI Osmo...great camera!!
Ahh that makes sense! I'll look into getting one...
Thanks for sharing! I live in south China and xinjiang seems too far from here. I wish I could oneday be there.btw, can you share your music? i like it.
My pleasure!
Amazing video & info josh !!! syukran .. i cant wait to go there -.from Belgium
Great, Lily! I hope you're able to make it out here. When you do, don't forget to grab a copy of the FarWestChina Xinjiang Travel guide: www.xjtravelguide.com
Thank you so much for this channel and your videos.
My pleasure. Thank you for a kind comment!
Lots to see around the place. I like the colorful clothes. A good bazaar atmosphere.
Absolutely! These Silk Road bazaars are some of the most incredible places to visit in this part of the world.
So well done mate! I have to ask - What kind of mic setup do you use? Such stunning scenery!
+The Path Less Traveled [Ryan Wilkes] Hey Ryan! Thanks so much. For this video I used a Zoom H1 with a lav, synced in post. Now I'm using a Rode wireless that plugs directly into the camera with the H1 as a backup. ;)
Just give a thumb up, great video.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
The lake looks amazing!
It's even more stunning in person, I promise you!
Can't wait to go to Kashgar because of your videos. Can I take taxis to the placces like the east side Kashgar and markets?
Great! Yes, you can take taxis.
Really cool Josh. Hope to find myself there soon.
Thanks, Bobby. I hope you get a chance to as well.
I am interested in visiting Xinjiang and Kashgar in particular. Thanks for an excellent video!
Jim Clay
My pleasure, Jim! Thanks for the comment. If you're going to be visiting Kashgar anytime soon, don't forget about the FarWestChina Xinjiang travel guide: www.xjtravelguide.com
I already purchased it a few months back!
Very interesting. I will visit one day.
Kashgar (喀什)has become my most favorite city in Xinjiang. Its unique culture atmosphere and influence absolutely intrigues me, as it is a place where Uyghurs (维吾尔族) dominate. As a lover of China's ethnic groups, seeing a city dominated by an entirely new culture, taking the place of the mainstream Han Chinese, is amazing. It's amazing to think that once a person arrives there, they will think that they are in a different country, yet it is hard for them to believe that they are still in China!
Every single one of these locations you have showed me look amazing. I've never been to Kashgar, or Xinjiang for that matter, but since I'm familiar with these places, it makes me really want to jump through the screen of my phone and explore these wonderful locations with my own eyes!
The Old City and Livestock Market/Bazaars, in particular, are the top places in my bucket list when I visit Kashgar. Being attracted to the Uyghurs and their culture, these are places where I can meet them, and interact with them, in person. All the while, I will be amazed that, though I am far away from mainstream Han Chinese society, I am still in the same country that they live in: China (中国)!
谢谢你给我们这个美丽的视频、Josh! 从美国、德州、的问候! 😁🇨🇳🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it, Nicolas! Thanks for the comment :)
My next destination right after the pandemic is over!
Great video, its always one place I've waited to go is China :)
You should! And when you do, make sure you travel to the far west region of Xinjiang ;)
Looks absolutely amazing! Is it possible to travel there without any command of the local language? Do you have any tips for how to do so? Many thanks!
Yes, you can. Once you get off the beaten path, though, it becomes much harder. The best thing you can do - if you have the budget - is to hire a local guide who also speaks English. You can find a lot of helpful tips in the FarWestChina Xinjiang travel guide: www.xjtravelguide.com
Looks amazing! Wanna go.
You should! It’s a lot of fun.
Looks like a completely different Country!!
I know...it really does.
surbhi sah have to say China is soooo huge that culture and customs vary from region to region.
@Nigel1048 unfortunately, xinjiang was occupied long before ccp existed, in 1760 during Qing dynasty. The name xinjiang was given by emperor qianlong which means old territory newly gained, since China ruled that area during Han and Tang dynasty.
You really don't realise just how diverse the culture is in China, I was aware that Islam was practiced there but seeing how close Xinjiang is to predominantly Muslim countries it is a great understanding to it all - thank you so much for sharing
+KiwiRugbyTravelStories My pleasure! I'm glad you were able to enjoy it!
They background music is awesome
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Omed!
Good job Josh, keep it up
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate the comment :)
I love it. Shukran means thanks.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent information
Thanks so much!
Beautiful place.
Hi. I have a question. Is it possible to cross the border to enter Tajikistan from China or the border is closed?
I’ve known people who’ve done it and it’s technically possible. In practice, however, it’s really up to the mood of the border guard you meet the day you try to cross.
Kashgar is not far from the border with Kyrgyzstan and that border is open to foreigners to cross. It is also not far from the border with Tajikistan, but that border is still to this day not open to foreigners to cross. Let's hope that will change at some point.
That is correct. I've passed by the turnoff for the Tajik border and hope that it will someday be opened up.
love this video
from xinjiang, from China
Welcome
Thank you! I'm glad you like it.
That is not China okay , It's East Turkistan , very soon we gonna kick the every chinese out off my country, if Allah Wheels...

Thank you for the suggestions of places to visit, may i know do people there speak mandarin.?

to-day 2021 7th Sept . THUMB-UP :) . THANK YOU
How does one "discover" something that existed inside the country of another group of people? Would it be more accurate to say that it was discovered by VISITORS or TRAVELERS?
Hi! How do I go up the highway if I don’t drive? Can I rent a car with a driver?
You can take public transportation or you can have a private driver.
Please give us some information about hotels with prices
You can find all of that information in my Xinjiang travel guide: www.xjtravelguide.com
Can you film with a drone in there?
I did 😉
@@FarWestChina Interesting. How did you manage to do that? Did you get a license for it?
Can anyone give me the link of the song that used from 2:21 to 21:22.. The song and voice is Scintillating.
You should do a follow up video exposing the malicious lies about Uighur 'genocide' by US/Anglo allies
Well made
Thanks.
Love kashgar

fuck off east Turkestan never existed . Uyghur occupies only small area of the land
Seriously? Uyghurs are not Turkestan.
'first discovered' and 'rediscovered' what exactly do you mean 'discovered'?
so for the past 4 billion years it has just been hiding even from the locals
i mean its always been there even before the said 'explorers walked to it????
i think that.s missing the whole point of even travelling
