I was born in Western China as a Han Chinese. Amazing Muslim people there, amazing food (including this noodles being my favorite ever) people are so pure and so hospitable!

People in this part of China were of persian descant. Just because they're in China territory doesn't make them Han or Manchu. (Ever heard of Chinese Empire ?) People of the silk road have their own culture and their own music which can sounds similar to Mongolian's, Turk's, or Arabian.

The Silk Road series is my most favorite series in the Food Ranger. Xinjiang's culinary delicacies, especially those of the Uyghurs, look absolutely delicious (看起来很好吃的!). I've never tried them before, but just looking at the dishes and culinary specialities makes my mouth water. I admire Trevor James' willingness and curiosity to explore new places, meet new people, and try new foods! I especially admire him for showing us regions in China that are culturally unique from the societies and lands of the mainstream Han Chinese that we all normally know when we think of China. Trevor shows us a perspective of China that we never knew existed. Though I've known China to have 56 different ethnic groups, and Xinjiang to be the homeland of the Uyghurs (And numerous other indigenous peoples which include the Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Kyrgyz, Russians, Tajiks, Mongols, Daurs, Hui, Xibe, and Tatars), this is still something I don't see everyday! This man is an inspiration and role model for (Chinese) cultural and food enthusiasts! He's the epitome of an adventurous and open-minded person! 太好了! 从美国的问候! 😁🇨🇳🇺🇸👍
Xinjiang is also home to other Turkic speaking Chinese minorities like Kazakhs, Kirghiz, Uzbeks and Tatars. You also have Tajiks, an Indo-European people related to Iranians, Afghans and South Asians (Pakistanis, Indians and Bengalis), Russians, Tibetans, Mongolians and Hui (Chinese-speaking Han)
The people there are incredibly friendly I've never seen anything like that before and I live in Singapore haha and yeah just as expected another good video keep it up!!

hollyliu1011 Hi Mandarin is real Han language but not the pronunciation. Modern Han language or Mandarin’s pronunciation is more like the accent Han language spoke by a ‘Manzu’ people who created the last Qing dynasty.
Which planet are you living in? Mandarin is the imperial Han Chinese language since Ming dynasty 1400's. The accent can varies depending on which region and ethnic speaking it.

I have to say that this Xinjiang series has blown Mark Weins' Philippines series out of the water! One of the best food travel series in UA-cam ever. Trevor James has earned everyone's respect as top tier food UA-camr no doubt about that. I have never seen any food traveller be it on youtube or tv that has visited this gem of a place. The Silk Road series is my most favorite series in the Food Ranger. Xinjiang's culinary delicacies, especially those of the Uyghurs, look absolutely delicious (看起来很好吃的!). I've never tried them before, but just looking at the dishes and culinary specialities makes my mouth water. I admire Trevor James' willingness and curiosity to explore new places, meet new people, and try new foods! I especially admire him for showing us regions in China that are culturally unique from the societies and lands of the mainstream Han Chinese that we all normally know when we think of China. Trevor shows us a perspective of China that we never knew existed. Though I've known China to have 56 different ethnic groups, and Xinjiang to be the homeland of the Uyghurs (And numerous other indigenous peoples which include the Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Kyrgyz, Russians, Tajiks, Mongols, Daurs, Hui, Xibe, and Tatars), this is still something I don't see everyday! This man is an inspiration and role model for (Chinese) cultural and food enthusiasts! He's the epitome of an adventurous and open-minded person!

Some people saying Mandarin is not real Han language is a northern barbarian mixed language I just want to say, I'm also minorities mixed Chinese I appreciate the fact that Mandarin letting us communicate with each other know each other so we can live peacefully together. hollyliu1011 Hi Mandarin is real Han language but not the pronunciation. Modern Han language or Mandarin’s pronunciation is more like the accent Han language spoke by a ‘Manzu’ people who created the last Qing dynasty.
