Downfall (2004) "Der Führerbunker" Cut - FANEDIT - English Subtitles

Edit of "Downfall" (aka "Der Untergang") that focuses almost exclusively on the action in and around Hitler's underground bunker, rather than the other storylines that follow the Battle of Berlin above ground. Also includes deleted scenes!

In all seriousness, I quite enjoy this, especially the inclusion of deleted scenes. The scene with Henschel and the Russian women in the bunker discovering the Goebbels children's bodies was a great place to end this cut.
This is one of my favorite WW2 films, and I'll be honest, I was introduced to it because of those parodies. And it was because of those parodies that I purchased the actual film.
One thing you might notice when watching is that we never actually see Hitler and his wife kill themselves. We just hear the gunshot. And we never see their bodies afterwards. That's because they deserve such an underwhelming send-off. The Goebbels children, on the other hand, we get an entire scene showing them being poisoned by their mother, and it is genuinely one of the saddest scenes I've ever seen. No emotional death scene for Hitler, because of course he doesn't deserve one.
And speaking of, happy death day to the old man himself! Nothing of value was lost.

Thanks for the positive comments! I would imagine that last deleted scene was envisioned as a potential end scene, but instead they chose to focus on Traudl's story after she leaves the bunker rather than linger there -- which works in terms of telling her character arc, but when it comes to chronicling the last days of the Nazi government, imo the discovery of the bunker by the Russians is a pretty big part to leave out.
We also don't see Joseph Goebbels and his wife die either, notice how the camera pans away quickly then back again after the deed is done as the soldiers approach with gasoline -- although that's more because there are conflicting accounts as to how exactly they died, so the filmmakers didn't want to pick one or the other.
Also, yeah I did pick today to post this specifically because it was his death day lol

Amazing like the original!! If available, do you think you can do the same for Titanic, including most deleted scenes (ones that don’t include the fictional characters) and unused scenes from Titanic Explorer without the commentary?

I could, but I would be unable to put it on youtube because Paramount/Fox are much more strict about Titanic than whoever the US rights holders are to Downfall
