- I spent a couple weeks using this knife so that I could give anyone who is interested a good honest review. The video starts off with the very first time I use the knife, up to me doing some harder tasks a few weeks later. If you want to know what I think of this you will have to watch the video til the end. Hope you enjoy!

I like Balistol, it not only works on the knife to clean and protect it, it can also be used on leather. Balistol is also all natural and food safe
Thanks for the Review!! We do appreciate it! That Casstrom Dangler is a very cool item....I have a few myself.... JRE Industries sells them also and so does Badger Claw Leatherworks.
Randall's Adventure / ESEE thanks for checking it out!
Thanks for the great review. I really enjoyed it.
I just got this knife yesterday, so while I was having breakfast I watched your video. I really liked your video & loved your little joke when you sniffed the fat wood and said “yup still good”…. I subscribed to your channel because I really like to support normal guys doing videos on UA-cam.
Thank you! I may have gaps in uploads but there will be more in time.
I was looking for a review of this knife. Thank you! Great job
BB HH awesome! Glad you found it!
I have one of these knives in I love it I carry it with me every day and I get a lot of use out of it
That is awesome!! I am really happy with mine so far!
Awesome knife. Amazing on how well it keeps its edge.
I know! I love it! haha
Recently acquired this gem, myself. I haven't got to do a lot of work with it yet, but I have no doubts it will perform, excellently. I think it is an awesome tool if you use it for its intended purpose. I have also created some of my own danglers, but I think the sheath works fines, as is. I am also a muzzleloading person, so frequently use Bore Butter on my carbon steel. I love it, and it smells wintergreeny fresh. :-)
Great video on one of my favorite knives. I use mine pretty much like Nessmuk would have though. I carry a pocket knife for wood carving and a hatchet for the heavier work. It's still nice to know that the jg5 can handle those things though. You have a new subscriber
brian miller awesome! Thank you! I too carry something heavier to do most of my chopping style work with with most of the time. But I literally wanted to see what I could put this knife through in case i had to rely on it by itself.
Looks like that knife is going to last you a very long time, great review also. Thanks again Nate 👍😃
mike_outdoors 1981 thanks Mike! I hope it does!
"Just won't let me be the center of attention" *dog immediately passes camera right*.
Good review.......I think I need this knife too.
If you are like me, you won’t regret it one bit!
Great review. I bought jg5 in the first run . Its a great woods knife . Those rowen company guys knows 1095. My only concern was a super tight sheath and slightly rough handles . Both were gone with a weeks use .
Gary Jacobs awesome! The more I use mine the more I love it!

Bro... dope vid. Sorry for my absence. I'm back now. Finally moved to Prineville. I'll be out looking for you so we can camp and bushcraft together. Keep it up.
The Real Karl Colt haha alright. Just don’t sneak up on me!
Nice review. I am interested in this knife after having owned the PR4 for two years or more. One word of caution though. Never slam that piece of wood after you have baton to break it. I have had an entire piece fly up and hit me in the face. I was bleeding badly from that but thankfully it left no permanent scar on my face. What I am even more thankful for is that none of the sharp splinters puncture my eye. Definitely not something you want that could spoil your trip of fun in the woods. Cheers!
Andy Ho Outdoors thanks for the tip. I definitely don’t want any eye injuries while I am out trying to enjoy myself.
Preparation: 101 Take care brother! Have a great week!
Hi, very nice video! one question, is the thickness of the blade okay or should it be thicker? Greetings from Argentina!
javier soria I think for the length of this blade it is just right. Very sturdy steel.
