    Keith I’m a fisherman with fresh and saltwater experience. I’m also a metal artist. I have a nice metal shop out back in my Mississippi Delta home. My neighbor and I love your channel. Just built my version of your press break. Bout to do the portable band saw and monster rod holder ones. We have Too end boats and catfish on the Mississippi River. Your videos are awesome, and we love to fabricate in our shops. If you ever want to fish the Mighty Mississippi and enjoy Mississippi Delta culture, give me a shout on metalartmississippi on Facebook. You and I have quite a bit in common. Mainly our fabrication ideas and tools. Peace man! Keep em coming!

    Thank you Keith! Just finished mine. I welded the 2.5" square tube on at a diagonal so the weighted side is more likely to grab 2 prongs instead of one.

    I thought you did a terrific job (as you ALWAYS do) with the river anchor vid. I really like your channel and have incorporated many ideas for both my freshwater bassboat and saltwater center console. You have great DIY ideas and, to me, it's alway more fun to fish using gear, devices and tackle that I've made myself (not to mention stretching my fishing dollars). Keep up the great work and here's wishing you solid hooksets!

    My anchor let go yesterday and we drifted almost into the swim area so this morning I'm researching anchors. I like this one but also i like your most recent one so i think I will incorporate aspects of both. Rather than center it I might weld the chain connection at the top on the lighter side hanging into the chains intended path. Then I don't need to mark the heavy side. I didn't understand about strapping the chain at the top and attaching securely to the bottom, I'm grateful for the explanation. Anyway this was awesome. I appreciate you. Thank you for sharing your skills knowledge and experience

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 роки тому

      Well technically lead weights for times what steel weighs that's why I used it . But you could just weld a couple big pieces of rebar to one side of the inside , it won't be as heavy but I think it'll be fine because a lot of ppl use 10 and 12 lb anchors . And water will fit in the bottom part because the lead seals it off but it'll still last a few years if you don't lose it 😉
