not to be confused with jumping forward, i see a lot of ppl on the court jumping forward or even walk forward as they shoot because they dont have enough power. i been working on this technique too, yes, when you do it properly suddenly the shot feels very effortless and you feel like you shoots like an nba player, sadly there are other parts of my shot that i am working on so the over all form is not stable...but at least i can constantly shoot the standard long three ball, i just hate the fact that i feel the shot is taking a lot of energy to shoot, so my mechanics is not good enough and not transfering all the power to the ball...some times i get too tense and the ball slip out of my hand and it is way short...
i think one of the key is to allow your shoulders to relax and go "back", i get too nervous when shooting three because in my head i always tell myself to not air ball the shot then as a result i get really tense...

i have this same issue, i keep jumping forward which i think causes a lot of tension in my upper body instead of naturally letting my lower body sway forward

It is wrong to use it for mid-range shoots?
Not at all, but the stronger you get the less you’ll use it when your close to the hoop. Maybe if you’re a smaller/younger player you might have a bigger sweep but if your abit older then you won’t sweep as much. All depends on the player
But how do you do it?
I explained it in the video lol. You just sweep your feet forward while your back naturally goes back.

Yu Liu no drills at all for that lol. Like just worry about sweeping your feet forward and your back will go back naturally, meaning it leans back by itself
