I'm with Priscilla regarding fireworks. I wish fireworks were illegal. They should only be handled by professional as they are dangerous.

That was an epic fireworks story! Now, I dearly love fireworks, but we never buy them. My husband is a Vietnam combat veteran and doesn't mix well with them. For him, it's not the sound, it's the light. And this year, definitely no fireworks as he is having intricate and delicate eye surgery tomorrow morning for a partially detached retina.

I’m older and use to go watch my grandchildren do fireworks but this year here in California where I live it’s going to be anywhere from 112 to 116 this week.

I don't do fireworks because of loud booms. I have always been afraid of them since i was a baby. So i dont do 4th of July

Oh my that hair brush sorta needs to be cleaned to much old hair on it!!
Haha, not as much as you think. It’s kind of a weird brush. It has the long bristles but also has tiny fiber bristles in between so any hair in the brush at all sits on top of the small bristles so it looks like a lot. I’m not sure what the brush is called but it’s great for tangles
I can’t watch fireworks 🎆 anymore without my noise canceling headphones since last year. As I’ve gotten older, my ears are more sensitive than ever. It’s the same thing as with sirens. 🚨
One year when my first sister and I were little, her friend from next door was with us on our driveway while our dads were lighting sparklers for us. Some of one dripped on the concrete and my sister’s friend forgot her shoes before we played with the sparklers and she accidentally stepped on the hot spot, and burned the bottom of her foot! 😭Her dad took her to the ER to get it treated. The next day, she had her foot in an Ace bandage and wasn’t allowed to walk on it for awhile. She had to carried everywhere or pushed in her old baby stroller! She was lucky to be small enough to barely fit.
We've reach the age, where we now worry about having heart attacks while doing yard work and all the things we use to think were fun but now realize how dangerous it is lol.

17:00 My cousin lost his hand at 16 years old due to one of the big ones. The way these were made was it had a long fuse, you light it, drop the ball into the tube and run. Well, when he lit the fuse, it didn’t even give him time to drop it. It exploded in his hand and removed the whole thing.

My nephew lost his fingers to one of his hand Using a firework 2 years ago it's dangerou messing with firework. Be save with them this on forth July. He did think the firework wasn't going off and it did.

When I was little, my brothers were 3-6 years older than me. They were running around with their sparklers. Then 2 put them in the cracks of the sidewalk. They were running and my 3 yr older brother fell and the sparkler went up his nose. Last year we ever got sparklers. I think was 4 years old.

Consisting of a wire coat hanger (unraveled) a stainless steel scrubber (non soaped) and gasoline.

as a trained Pyrotechnician Fireworks are dangerous and in my view should only be let off by trained people even then I've been there when the tube for mine blows up and scraped someone's head slightly over he would have died. I worked for Kimbolton Fireworks probably biggest firework company in world,,

Discussing things from the past, is boring!
I grew up in liberal CA and we had fireworks, sparkles, fountains, little tanks and snakes, never had an injury. We used the legal ones, you put on the ground, light and step away. You have a bucket of water nearby, and keep unlit fireworks away from the one you are lighting, as there is chance of falling over. We never used the ones that shoot up and launch into the sky as they land on rooftops, in trees, and have fall out. We also water down our rooftops in case an illegal firework lands on it. Now most states are banning all kinds, and responsible users get punished.
We live in Michigan... it gets sooo noisy around here on 4th of July so we go to the upper peninsula where it's MUCH quieter.

As and Australian listening to the whole LIST of fireworks related dangers and injuries, followed by 'cause you guys dont have rights' - I laughed my butt off 🤣
And I will continue to laugh while I go to the hospital (for free), get a cup off good coffee (not Starbucks sugar that will put me in the hospital) and enjoy my legally protected 4 weeks of paid time off per year (plus additional paid sick leave) from my job I was qualified for through university education (paid for up front by the government with no student loans or interest rates) 🤣
Before people chime in - theres no hate here at all. I found it funny and am in no way offended by Asas joke nor am I making fun of anyone. We joke and make fun of Americans all the time, you can do it to us as well - we don't take things that seriously 💜
i used to clean a house were the client had a 'fluent house lifestyle.' every year she moved all rooms around. even bought new living room furniture. i'm not saying that's for everybody, but i understand when you need to move your rooms around. change is theraputic too.
Fireworks are restricted in NZ and Australia, thankfully. Hope NZ will ban them soon way too many fires and injuries every year!
Here in Maryland in certain countries we are not allowed to set off our own fireworks it's crazy

There is no such thing as a British accent. Great Britain is made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Each country has hundreds of different accents, as in each country, the accent will change every 10 miles or so. Also we have different dialects, and in Wales they speak Welsh and English but then you get the dialect changes within that. The accent you are probably thinking of is the Received Pronunciation accent also called the King or Queens English which is the accent some British actors have.
So the Queens English...as in the Queen of Great Britain...the place that is comprised of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland? So there you go, a British accent. You can't convince me otherwise. In my mind you all talk like Benedict Cumberbatch and I can't imagine a world where that isn't true. All of the UK thinks that Americans all have a southern accent so basically we are even.
@@fatheringautism a person from Scotland sounds completely different to a person from London. So there is such a thing as an English accent. I’ve always found it so interesting how different American accents are from North, South, East, West. 😊

@fatheringautism Queen's English used to be used on BBC world service but it isn't anymore. People with all accents work for the BBC so yes it is like us saying all Americans have the same accent. And I know you don't, I couldn't identify the states but I know for sure there are differences.
I'm English and I have no problem with you saying British accent. People need to get a grip. If it is an accent that comes from Britain it is a British accent. No-one said it was the British accent, as in the only accent. You get a passport from Britain. Not Yorkshire, Liverpool, Glasgow, Cornwall or whatever. When your county / country declares their independence then you can argue you are not British.

He doesn’t speak due to cerebral palsy, so he uses a device like Abbie does. His device didn’t have an accent that reflected how he imagined himself sounding, with his Geordie accent, so he put out a call for a ‘voice donor’ and he can now use his device in an accent that sounds like him!

Me and my siblings and cousins had firework wars every 4th of July growing up! Roman candles, bottle rockets, black cats, m90s and m80s. All shot each other and threw them at each other.
Australia used to have fireworks in November long before I was born but according to my Grandpa it was decided they were too dangerous as it was smack bang in the middle of summer and so many fires and injuries were happening they decided to ban them... I do believe that you can still get them but have to have the correct paperwork... I just watch America's 4th of July ones on you tube 😅

So if you ever go to Missouri there is a huge gas station Called BOOMLAND, it has a massive fireworks building there. Plus inside the actual gas station it has a whole home decor department, tee shirts etc. it’s fun. We stop by there after visiting family in Little Rock back to Michigan
And that’s why fireworks are illegal in Australia 😂 for personal use.

My brother in law completely upstanding very intelligent man got third degree burns on his hand from a sparkler fire works at sedate level still not safe.
I'm worried about fireworks as years ago my cousin nearly lost an eye while making his own firework and letting it off with friends.
I used to love the fireworks but now that watch farm channel's and realize how it affects them i have a different opinion. Firecracker can be dangerous too I had a nephew who had them and someone threw it at his feet and it went into his sneaker and burned his ankle really bad.
